Now called Jilly Jelly Boba and Snow!! Visiting from San Francisco, I wanted to get some (real) boba tea. Stopped by here and this is a LEGIT boba place to visit (boba is SUPER popular in SF). We visited on New Year's Day, so it was quiet and the owner was super helpful in helping my friend choose his first boba tea drink. I was torn between Hokkaido or Matcha Milk tea and she recommended Hokkaido. While making our drinks, she let us sample our teas and each drink was SO good - seriously just like home!! I'm not a boba snob, but, I can taste the difference between a good boba shop and a so-so boba shop. The new owner Janice is amazing!! OMGGGGGGG their bubble Hong Kong style waffles are to die for!!!!! It's been a few years since I had them ever since leaving NYC Chinatown and Flushing. Moving here from NYC flushing Queens 3yrs ago and it's been hard to find good authentic chinese food and groceries let alone a good boba spot BUT this newly opened Boba shop is a must try and highly recommended!!! The owner is taiwanese and a lifetime New Yorker before moving down here to open her own boba café. I've been to A LOT of boba cafes...I always look for one when I visit a new place. This one was only a few minutes from me, so I decided to try it. The first thing I noticed is the smell of disinfectant that hit us when we walked in. Not a pleasant smell. Also, there isn't much seating. There are two cute swings hanging from the ceiling but they are too close to some other seats so we could just take a quick picture on a swing and left. The girls working were nice enough and quickly made our drinks...but the drinks weren't very good. I always order brown sugar boba and I usually love it...but this looked weird (there's a powder floating in it) and had little taste. Even the boba wasn't what I'm used to. They have a lot of other drinks, so maybe they are good...but I definitely wouldn't go back. read more

My husband and I wanted a treat after we had a horrible dining experience at the establishment on the corner that isn't the Italian restaurant. It was my husband's first time trying bubble tea and this place didn't disappoint! He got the latte and I got the tarro. Both were FANTASTIC!!! Love the ambiance of this little shop. The hanging swing seats are romantic for sure. I ordered the lavender milk tea with Boba and it was very delicious. The Boba was warm and soft and really complemented the flavor of the tea. They made it fast too. Granted they weren't busy but I noticed other people got their drinks quickly even after me. We have tried about 8 boba places here in Charlotte and this is definitely up in the top. Lots of options, lots of toppings, lots of snacks as well, and the ambiance was very clean and cute! The staff was very nice and we had fast good service. We tried the rose lemonade with lichee jelly, Thai tea with boba, and rose milk tea with lichee popping bubbles. We all loved the taste! The have medium and latte, which is great because other places only offer large and I end up paying for a large when I know I'll only drink half. Also the prices were the lowest around...even better!! Location is pretty good too, and we stopped in the Brazilian grocery next to it! I absolutely love this boba spot! Just opened up so the deals are really great (one large boba tea costs $3, which plus tax came out to $3.15). I got the peach fruit tea with lychee jelly (amazing) and my mom got the taro milk tea with boba which was also very good! You can adjust the sugar levels (similar to Kung Fu Tea) and the menu is far more expansive once you're inside- see pictures below. Definitely check this place out! read more

I thought the interior was very cute and clean! However their phone number doesn't work. I tried calling beforehand to ask some questions and it just said their inbox is not taking messages because their voicemail hasn't be activated? Very confusing. Other than that, the only other complaint I have is their milk tea slushy -- I got the taro with no added sugar -- is way too sweet. I added boba and I'm aware that's sweet in and of itself, but I believe the actual taro mix they use is presweetened. Either that or they made a mistake and added some sweetener to mine. It was VERY sweet and usually when I go to any other boba spot and ask for no sugar it's perfect with a slight sweetness from the boba. So I'd just say maybe be aware of that! Some like it super sweet, but to have it be this sweet without added sweetener...it is pretty intense. Other than that, I would try to go back again and try another boba drink -- their boba was nice and soft and warm! -- or maybe their fruit teas to see the difference or if I have the same experience with sweetness levels. read more

She said they make it different from other regular milk tea. I got it with boba, and the Boba was fresh and soft. My boyfriend got the peach orange sparkling, and it tasted like fruity soda.
