Strawberry Matcha Milktea with Matcha Boba
    Thao L.

I got a strawberry matcha (pictured), okinawa milktea, and a passionfruit green tea. I'd say the drinks weren't good tbh but the service was top tier. She let us taste each drink to see if we liked the sweetness before finalizing the drink. Sadly, the drinks just did not taste good :(

This place screams love! From the gentle customer service, the polished and pretty interior and don't even get me started on the drinks! Everything was made with love and from now on whenever I want boba I will always come here. (P.S I LOVE THEIR PACKAGING! I'd show what it looks like with a full drink but it was just too good)

This place is a joke. Stopped by in the evening on the weekend and was literally the only one there. Had a young boy making my drink for literally 30min. It was so sweet. The boba was warm and made my whole drink warm. I had like 2 ices. Thought I'd wait to get home to add my own ice only to arrive home with a disgusting looking drink. I just threw it away. $7 down the drain.

It's so hard to find authentic HK style baked goods in NC & I finally found it here. The breads are very fresh, fluffy, generously sized and well flavored. The egg tarts & sesame balls are excellent too. Definitely will be a haunt for me when I'm in the area. This is also locally owned so support your small mom & pop businesses.

I literally drove up and down the shopping plaza and almost gave up. I pulled into a parking spot, looked at reviews, scrolled and scrolled and bam! Someone was super helpful with where it was actually located. So now, I felt the need to put that as the first thing to read on the review haha. There's plenty of parking! Just beware of your surroundings, there were a few homeless people walking around begging/going up to cars. Definitely seems like this is an overall ongoing issue in Charlotte as a whole. The market is massive but I didn't buy anything from the store. I definitely wanted to buy some snacks from different countries in Asia but I had sushi leftovers in the car so I was trying to make it a quick trip. I made my way to the very right side of the store where the bakery and food stands were. The cashier was friendly and I ordered quite a bit of bakery items including a taro bun, red bean cream bun, macaroons, a cookie, and a Thai tea with boba. Everything was delicious, no complaints! I do wish more things were in stock but being that everything tasted great, I'm sure Hong Kong Bakery gets a lot of traction. This is a great small bakery. The location is hard to find but just remember...it's inside the grocery store. When you enter the building, turn right, and go all the way straight until you pass the cash registers and home goods section. You'll see it! Enjoy!

For me as a Venezuelan, I really appreciate the Venezuelan snacks, harina PAN for the arepas and the Venezuelan cheeses. I also go to the Asian section to get weird flavored chips, Mochis, a lot of Frozen dumplings. It's never a complete trip if you don't go to the restaurant area and get some food to eat there and some pastries to take home. Finish the day with a excellent boba tea

Super G Mart on Independence is one of Charlotte's most fun grocery adventures…read more If you love exploring new ingredients, discovering international snacks, or simply wandering through aisles you've never seen before, this place is worth the trip. While the Pineville location remains my favorite thanks to its larger food hall and dining options, the Independence store still delivers an impressive experience. The selection is enormous. You'll find fresh produce from around the world, exotic fruits and vegetables, live seafood, blue crabs, an on-site fishmonger, and a full-service butcher counter. The international grocery selection is where this store really shines. Aisles are packed with staples from across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. Whether you're shopping for Thai curry paste, Vietnamese rice noodles, Japanese snacks, Korean sauces, Spanish ingredients, or Eastern European treats, chances are you'll find it here. One feature I especially enjoy is the freezer section. The cases are organized by country and cuisine, making it easy to browse and discover new foods. It's a small detail, but it turns grocery shopping into a bit of an adventure. On this visit, I came specifically for Korean black bean paste, dark soy sauce, and fresh green beans. Naturally, I left with a few extras. The candy aisle is dangerous in the best possible way. Their coconut candies are always tempting, and I can never resist grabbing a bag of Thai coffee candies while I'm there. The store has a large private parking lot and a loyalty program that offers additional discounts at checkout. If you're a frequent shopper, it's worth signing up. Is it as polished as some specialty markets? No. Is it one of the most interesting grocery stores in Charlotte? Absolutely. Give yourself time when you visit. This isn't the kind of place where you run in for one item and leave five minutes later. It's a place to wander, explore, and discover something new around every corner. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. Grab a cart, take your time, and eat your way through Super G Mart.

This 7-Eleven is a little smaller than most and is one of the "older" designs but they still have everything. The ATM is inside to the right next to the lottery counter. I thought the idea was to be creative and to use whatever container you wanted to use, providing it fit in the store's 10-inch cutout. When I got to the cashier around 7:30 pm, she said I couldn't use my container. I told her I thought you could use any container as long as it fit. She then said I could fill it halfway. This was my first time participating. Employees should adhere to the guidelines sent in the Rewards emails. If they can make up rules as they go, there should be disclaimers in the emails. I still enjoyed my Slurpee brain freeze, but the cashier took some of the fun out of it. I hadn't had a Slurpee in a long time. It was good to see sugar free options.
