Bakery found inside super g - got the pork bun which disappoints. The bread is dry and not a lot of filling inside. Also got the milk bread which is dry as well. Will not recommend

3.5 very organized but I wish they had a kids menu. The portions are so large for their rice dishes. The chestnut (pearl meatballs) take 10-15min as they have to make them. The shumai are small the sandwiches are decent.

My partner and I ordered food to go from here. It's located inside the Super G Mart. I ordered shrimp dumplings and siu mai. My partner ordered a curry chicken sandwich. The staff asked me if it's one order each for the shrimp dumplings and the siu mai, which I appreciate. I wish she would've mentioned how big they are and how many you get per order. The food is delicious, but I devoured it within minutes. While it satisfied my craving, I could've used more especially since we had a long road trip ahead of us. My partner enjoyed the sandwich, it's like a banh mi but with curry chicken. It's different than what we're used to but still an interesting combination that worked well. I'd come back if I'm in the area, and I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for grab and go Asian cuisine, and they also have chairs and tables for you to enjoy your food there.

What a delightful find! Tucked away in the back of an international grocery store, this place is an absolute gem. I cannot wait to go back and I encourage everyone to stop by if you're in the area. Super fair prices and a large menu displayed in front. I got four shrimp dumplings which were warm and so flavorful. Thought I would need sauce but I didn't. Definitely something else in them but I'm not sure what. I also got the veggie bao which I liked less. Still good but not the best flavor. My partner got teriyaki chicken and bbq. Loved them both but didn't think the teriyaki tasted much like teriyaki. We did mix up the veggie and meat ones. Be mindful of sizes and shapes. We couldn't tell based on the insides so we had to Google pictures. It would have been nice to separate them or add some labels. Oh and the bread is so good but be aware there is a lot of it. I also got a boba tea and it was the bomb. They made mine a little less sweet per my request and it was perfect. I got the original but I saw a ton of options. Overall this place was delicious and the workers were wonderful. There is a seating area inside but we took it to go as it was all packaged up anyway. Takeout Friday don't kind of I do!

I had heard great things about this place and kept meaning to come, but never got around to it since it's out of the way for me. We finally made it though! Covid-19: no online ordering here. They are closed for dine in right now. It's inside a grocery store (Super G). The buns are a must try. Unfortunately they were sold out of most of them when we were here (around 12 on a Saturday), but we were able to try BBQ pork, Vietnamese Pork, and Taro. They were amazing! BBQ pork was my favorite since the Vietnamese Pork was a little dry. I also loved Taro. I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize that it only came with one bun each, so we didn't get nearly enough buns for my liking. We also got a BBQ pork banh mi and a ginger milk tea (add boba) both of which we loved. We weren't comfortable exploring Super G right now, so we'll definitely be back to check out the grocery store and get some more buns!

This Cafe was in the store. They have super good Boba and they made it pretty fast. The service was good and they also had places that you could sit and eat!

Very filling and flavorful buns! My husband and I shared the chicken and pork buns as well as the sticky rice in banana leaf which also had meat inside and all were very good. The buns are big soft and sweet and you don't need to more than 1 or 2 because they're very filling. This place is definitely worth the stop and it's inexpensive. If you're looking for a quick lunch or snack I would definitely give this place a try!

First time Banh Mi eater here and LOVED IT I got the #30 Banh Mi Sandwich - the flavors were amazing, bread was perfection, and WOW what a great value for $5.49. **TIP: Order must be over $10 if using a Credit/Debit card Came in without cash, so I added a #1 Vietnamese Pork Bun and two #7 Veggie Buns to my order. The buns were just OK for me- the fillings were absolutely delicious, but there was just too much breading in my opinion. This spot was still take-out only on my visit on 2/14/21. So glad I tried and I'll definitely be back!

Not the place to buy obnoxious military vehicles that represent the worst qualities of Americans. That's HUM-V Buns Cafeteria. Named after my porn star girlfriend, this is one of the better places to get Boba in North Carolina. Honey Buns is a wonderful little spot inside the International Food Court in Charlotte which as a city, is really starting to have some great International options - that are still completely off the radar. Here are two good bubble tea shops in this grocery store, and this one has nice milk tea, and good lemon black tea, as well as tasty buns and other good baked goods - as you can see from my pictures. I might like the neighbouring Hong Kong Place slightly more (especially for milk tea), or they might be dead even - the next time I come to Charlotte I will be trying both for a second time.

Whenever I am up in Charlotte, I look forward to my meal here. I love going early on weekends (avoid the crowd and wait time) when they have cart service. So much to choose from. If dining when cart service isn't available, they have their regular menu and also a dim sum menu. It's not cheap, but the quality, service and atmosphere are worth the extra pennies.

Unfortunately, the execution didn't quite live up to expectations. Many of the hot items coming around on the carts--especially the dumplings and rice noodle dishes--were noticeably cold by the time they reached the table. Service also seemed strained; the restaurant appeared short-staffed, which made it difficult to get attention or request specific items. The portions felt small for the price point, and overall it didn't feel like a great value for the money. Despite that, the restaurant is absolutely packed every weekend, so clearly it has a loyal following. Having experienced incredible dim sum in places like Sugar Land, Texas, and especially throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, it's hard not to compare. Those spots set a very high bar, and unfortunately Open Rice Metropolitan doesn't quite measure up.

We were a party of 4 on a Saturday, and it was my friends birthday. We were seated at a low four top and my friend received a special menu with Happy Birthday watermarked on it which was a nice touch. We ordered some drinks and then food basically tapas style. We had a variety of rolls and a couple non sushi starters like peppers and crispy shrimp. All of the plates came out at a good pace, we were able to enjoy the current before starting the next. The drinks were solid and the service was great- friendly and attentive, clearing out plates and silverware with each round. I can see why this was such a highly rated and booked spot. It's in a good central location in south end, decent parking and plenty of options to explore the immediate vicinity afterwards. @azfitfoodfun

I didn't even get a picture of it because I was in a trance. I also had the braised beef noodle soup (pictured), top tier please visit this place. I'm plotting my next outing JUST to go here. I am a foodie at heart. My friend had the Ma-La Dried Peppers Chicken, that was also incredible. Everything has sooooo much flavor. The eggplant was hands down the best I've ever had in my life. I was in one of those "I need noodles immediately" moods, and Sun's Kitchen did not disappoint. I called my order in for takeout, and everything was packed perfectly. No leaks, no mess, still hot when I got home, and the portion was surprisingly generous for the price. The dan dan noodles here are rich, savory, a little spicy, and incredibly comforting. If you're not familiar with them, dan dan noodles are a classic Sichuan street food dish from Chengdu traditionally tossed in a spicy, numbing ma-la sauce with pork, scallions, and pickled vegetables. Sun's Kitchen does a really delicious version that's flavorful without feeling too heavy. The noodles have that perfect chewy texture, and every bite has just enough heat to keep you going back for more. If you're someone who's curious about ethnic food but maybe unsure where to start, this is honestly a great entry-level dish. Yes, there's a little spice, but it's approachable and balanced. The dining room itself is modern and beautiful, and now that they serve beer and wine, I definitely need to come back and enjoy a full dine-in experience instead of rushing home with takeout. The only caveat is the parking lot can get a little chaotic since it's shared with neighboring businesses, especially during busy hours. But trust me, it's worth circling for a spot. Charlotte, there's a big wide world of food out there, and places like Sun's Kitchen make exploring it easy and delicious. Get out there and eat your way through it.

The person who greeted, seated, and waited on me was nothing short of rude and hostile towards other employees, diners, and me. I had gone in for the buffet, but it was not available, so I needed a minute to look over the menu that was thrust in my face. Instead, I was asked within 15 seconds what I wanted. I asked for more time. That was not pleasing to this person. A couple of minutes later, I ordered my main course while she talked over me, and I also ordered a soup while she continued to talk over me. The soup never came. As I was getting ready to pay my bill, she actually took half of the fortune cookie from my hand as she cleared the dishes from the table. I was so stunned by that action I couldn't say anything. I have seen this very same person behave in similar ways to others in the past. Today was my first direct dose of her unhospitable behavior. I am not saying I will never return, but when I do, I will certainly ask not to have this person be associated with my service. I do hope that the ownership of the restaurant will examine her role and put her in a position that does not have direct customer contact. She will cost the establishment customers.
