I got a gel manicure and my nails lasted for 3 weeks before they started chipping or peeling. I love that they use vegan nail polish and skin care products and are so gentle! Normally other salons I have been to rip my cuticles up and make them bleed, but not here! Jessica the owner is super nice and always does an amazing job on my nails. They have helped customize the color for me each time and I've been so pleased with how it turned out. For Christmas, I wanted to do gray with sparkles so we found a light purplish gray to go under clear sparkles to match my plum-colored sweater and I couldn't be happier!

He was very professional and knowledgeable about the body and practiced effective massage techniques. The room itself was clean and at a nice temperature with a spot to place my belongs. The music was set to calming piano music at a nice volume and I was able to pick the scent in the room which was a nice touch. The bed was clean and warm. The receptionist was nice and helpful and the whole experience and set up was positive. Ample onsite parking and it's the office to the right when you enter from the parking lot.

The conversation that led to this situation was not started by me. While I was in the chair, the discussion had already shifted into conspiracy topics. A client then came in and brought up the Israeli prime minister and his cancer, making comments expressing happiness about it. The tone of the conversation included laughter and engagement from others around, which made it extremely uncomfortable to sit through. As a Jewish customer, I felt put in a very difficult position, especially being mid-service and unable to simply step away. The direction of the conversation is what led me to speak up and say that I'm Jewish and that I didn't agree, even though I was genuinely nervous to do so. When I said that, there was a visible shift, people were caught off guard, apologized, and said they don't hate Jews, they "just hate him." That does not change what was said or how it came across in that moment. The owner was the one cutting my hair and was part of the conversation. When I said I needed to leave, I was already overwhelmed and in a state of panic. My hair was not finished, and I had to ask for clips to be removed so I could go. I then found myself at a locked door and had to wait to be let out, which added to the distress of the situation. I do want to be clear that I did verbally express myself strongly toward the end. I'm not denying that. My reaction came after everything I had just experienced, not before. The owner's response mentions creating a safe environment and staff feeling uncomfortable. I did not create that situation, I reacted to it. I was the one sitting in the chair while this conversation was happening around me. After I spoke up, the response included references to "Jewish support groups" and comparisons between Jewish people and the queer community that felt dismissive and out of place given the context.

The phone system (in which you don't automatically get a person but rather wait for someone to call you back) is a drag. Admittedly I got a call back very quickly, but for the price I would assume/hope I could call and get a person. Small issue and wouldn't keep me from going back. What will keep me from a second visit, though, is the price. I do like my haircut and I'd probably pay to have a coffee with Sam as much as have my hair done by her, but my very basic cut/clean-up trim was $165.
