I only got a cut one time And was charged for all the sessions and I know people that go here and did not get charged a fraction of the price I was charged max atleast if Im paying 1000, make it look like it! The hairstylists are all great - they are all friendly, very professional and good at what they do! Lauren was my hair stylist - I'd definitely recommend her. I decided it was time to try short hair for the first time since I was a child - needless to say I was a little nervous. Lauren recommended we go a little longer than I was planning to go just in case, since we could always go shorter. It was a great idea! i brought my granddaughter to this salon as she had asked to have highlights added to her hair for her birthday. Both of us had researched several salons and we both agreed that this salon was within our budget. I was surprised at the length of time it took (5 hours), but as I didn't ask beforehand I take responsibility for that. The website has $109 as the price for full highlights. The stylist (Madison) used a technique where she teased the hair claiming the color worked better that way? This resulted in knots and tangles in my granddaughter's hair. She had to use some type of product to get these knots out. Throughout the whole process, Madison never informed me of all the extra changes. I am very displeased that she took it upon herself to charge me for excess product @$22 92. Her fault. $15 for conditioning treatment-again her fault and also for the heat styling that she told my granddaughter was for pictures on her website. Another $15. She also trimmed the length of her hair for $47. I sent an email about this 2 months ago never heard back. This place is super immature and definitely unreasonable. My friend recommended I try "her girl" for my very first color. It was something I was hesitant to do, being that my mother had a terrible allergic reaction to color in the past, (not at Salon Bella Vi), but working with Sylvana, put me at ease. She had me come in a few times prior to the main event to do dye checks with their two product types to make sure there would be no adverse reactions. The salon followed up with me a few days later to check that there was no issue. After two tests, I scheduled my color. The process (full color) took about 3 hours and Sylvana walked me through the whole process. Overall - I love the color and the cut she gave me. It just falls right where I want it and even when pulled up has the cute ponytail "bounce". read more

Since zero starts isn't an option. Went to R for years. The last year my cuts have been bad. Uneven on one side. Gone back a few times to get it fixed. The last time it was uneven again, kept cutting the shorter. Asked for more balayage. I have a stripe of uneven blonde in the front. the balayage came out so many shades of brown and blonde. Was given a refund but the salon won't fix it. Not at all a $189 cut and color. Never been treated so poorly. Also took my teen for prom hair and makeup. The makeup area was not set up at all. My first experience here was amazing! Caitrin did an excellent job on my cut and blow dry. God bless her hands and wrists because I have very thick long hair and blow drying it is a mission. I loved how knowledgeable she was on products and how she explained each and every single thing she used. It shows a lot about the stylist and not just their passion towards hair but the integrity as well. My hair feels incredible and the products made a world of a difference because there is NO frizz in my hair, whatsoever- which is the first thing I notice if new products can tame. My friend recommended this place a while back. I was skeptical about driving all the way from Ann Arbor, but boy oh boy am I happy I did so. I love what they have done to my hair. I got ombre and a cut the first time and it looked fabulous. I am going back to get another haircut today and cannot wait. I was here yesterday to get my roots retouched and in the moment I was very pleased. My stylist was very friendly and I left the salon around 8pm very happy. It was a bit rocky in the beginning though because I was waiting at the empty front desk for about 5 minutes to check-in before someone noticed and my stylist approached to check me in. It wasn't until I looked in the mirror where there is natural light that I noticed that my roots are STILL lighter than the rest of my hair. This is my first time going here and I was charged $79 to get my roots touched up. It's unfortunate that I was charged that much since you can still see my roots against the rest of my hair. I am devastated because I'm having head shots taken on Friday in natural light and I'm worried that my roots are going to show up in the photos. I was looking for a place to cut my 4 year old's hair. You may wonder, "why a salon for a 4 year old?" Well he has perfect corkscrew curls that make all the grandma's out there try to reach out & touch him. And I love the curls and have had his hair butchered too many times to go to a regular place. Allison, at Bella Vi was recommended for her skills with curly hair. And she did a wonderful job. She was engaging with him so he wouldn't feel scared and did a wonderful job cutting and shaping his hair. She even gave me ideas on how to keep it styled and products to use in it. The salon was clean and tastefully decorated and the staff were all friendly. Nobody minded that my crew dropped the mean age to about 9 years old, so I didn't feel awkward taking my 3 children here. Let me start by saying I am a very patient person and it takes a lot for me to leave a bad review. This salon messed up a few times and each of these things on their own would be bad enough, but to experience this all in one visit is ridiculous. I was scheduled to be the first appointment of the morning with Robin, which was critical since I told them I had a flight to catch later that day and needed to get this done as early as possible so as not to rush. I made an appointment for a cut and to get my eyebrows waxed and arrived 10 minutes early. As I walked a gentleman was being escorted to a chair. I didn't think anything of it until 25 minutes later. I was still stuck waiting for Robin when the gentleman went over to pay and said "Thank you for letting me walk in and get service" It was Robin who had cut this mans hair while I, who made an appointment 2 weeks earlier, was stuck waiting. That was strike one. Next was the cut itself.... or should I say what cut? My hair looked exactly the same walking in as it did when I walked out. Every other salon I have ever visited asked if I wanted my hair curled or flt ironed at the end of my cut. I always choose curls, but here I had no choice and like I said I looked the same walking in as I did waking out. That was strike two. Now comes the biggest reason I am giving this salon 1 star.The brow waxing itself felt fine, no pain. I thought at least something here was done right. However, the waxing is done right by the main area where everyone gets their hair done, so everyone can see. Every other place has a private back area for waxing. The worst part of all was when I was driving to the airport afterwards. I caught a glimpse of myself in the rearview mirror and I thought "No, this can't be what I think it is" and when I was stopped at a light I looked closer. There were several pieces of dried wax still around my brows!!! If I didn't see this and went in public without taking them off I would have been mortified. Who lets their client leave with wax still on their skin? I am never coming here again and have advised my friends to avoid at all costs. read more

I chose Alison based on some of these reviews on how well she cuts curly hair. I have thick curly hair and need an expert. When I met with her and talked she seemed very confident in the salons "curly hair certification" and said she would give me a "curly cut". She also offered me a curly hair treatment. The treatment was an absolute waste of money and my hair cut is a triangle with no shape to it. I'm very displeased and have been wearing my hair in a ponytail until I can go get it fixed. I definitely would not recommend her for curly hair. It was also very expensive for such a poor cut. read more

It took over a week to get an appointment here, and I waited because I have an event this weekend. Tonight, I pulled up to their small parking lot in the back and found it all full. So as a courtesy, I called to let the girls know I'm there and ask where else I can park to only have the girl tell me my appointment has been canceled because the stylist is not in tonight. I asked if there was anyone else who can color my hair as today is the only evening I can come in. She said no but can get me an appointment next week. The receptionist claimed that the morning employee called multiple times but my phone kept going to voicemail. She then said the employee also texted me from her personal phone and asked if I received the text. I did not receive any calls or texts. I had full bars all day, my phone was on me and on loud. The girl and I confirmed over the phone they indeed have the correct number. Additionally, I received their initial appointment confirmation text. If someone really did call in the morning, I do not understand why they wouldn't do me the courtesy in leaving a voicemessage informing me of the cancellation or try again in the evening instead of waiting for me to drive +15 minutes for my appointment. I was really excited to try this salon because of the online reviews, but the customer service, unfortunately, has turned me off from making any future appointments read more
