May 24, 2026 I recently acquired a 2026 Volkswagen Tiguan SEL R-Line Turbo vehicle. The salesperson, Brandon Baggett, went the extra mile to ensure I was fully informed and pleased with my purchase. Even though he is primarily associated with the Kia section of the dealership, he readily took the time to show me the Volkswagen Tiguan SEL R-Line Turbo that I desired. I opted for the avocado green exterior color, complemented by a black and amber brown diamond-stitched leather interior, which earned a spot on the 2026 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX List. He guided me through the entire paperwork process and remained very patient, composed, and respectful. He possesses integrity and a compassionate nature. Bullying tactics, from the sales department. My daughter had every intention of buying her car out after her lease was up. The salesman slid every pice of paperwork across the desk. With " sign here, sign here." No explanation to what she was signing. we We're giving to wrong time to drop off the car the next day for a Kia 250 point inspection. Where the person that checks in the car was more worried anout who gave us the wrong time than checking the car in. I still have the appointment time and person to meet written down on a card. At this point she informed then she just wanted out of her lease. This is when the bullying started. They said is was a done deal and the car had been grounded. The issue with this is we were told the lease wouldn't be completed until after the inspection. which at that point hadn't started. So that's now lie number three. I sent my daughter back in to finalize the lease turn in only to be called away from work because they had pulled her aside and tried to get her to rethink. More bullying. So the final odometer. Reading paperwork and the walk around still hadn't been done. They then proceeded to charge her for the maintenance in the amount of 1389.xx I feel hoping she didn't have the money so she would be forced to buy a vehicle from them. This receipt was a complete list of what they had done in the inspection with every line item zeroed out. The amount was Hand written on the right side of the page. When I asked for a receipt I was told " you have a receipt. which was true we had the credit card receipt only. At this point she paid it and left. Not knowing how and what all was needed. So instead of just doing the job correctly and letting us move on. They with held the odometer reading for the finalization of the lease. So this I believe was the fourth trip back. Between the lies and the attitude from the employees I hope the owner knows how they treat people who come into his business. I have everyone's name including the owner. im not placing them here intentionally. They have lost 50 + potential customers. I have a large family. Now they will be all over town tilling people at church, get togethers etc. all about how the family member was treated. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I brought my car to this Kia dealership for a routine 30,000-mile maintenance. My vehicle was in very good condition with no issues prior to the visit. I paid $682 expecting professional service. Immediately after picking up my car, I noticed a loud, constant noise coming from the passenger seat area that had never existed before. I gave it a week to see if it would resolve, but it did not. When I returned, the staff dismissed my concern without even properly inspecting the vehicle and told me nothing was wrong. I clearly explained that I was about to complete a long-distance PCS move from Alabama to California and needed my car to be safe. The store manager showed no concern, refused to take responsibility, and sent me away in a vehicle that had developed a new issue after their service. During my road trip, the situation worsened. About 5 hours into the drive, my AC stopped working completely, forcing me to drive for 5 days in uncomfortable and difficult conditions. The noise also became progressively worse. This was extremely stressful, especially as a military family during a PCS move. I trusted this dealership with my vehicle, and instead I was dismissed and left dealing with worsening problems across the country. I have records of my conversation with the store manager regarding this issue. Due to the lack of accountability and the safety concerns involved, I am escalating this matter to Kia corporate and am prepared to take further action to pursue a proper resolution. I am very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer care. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. read more

The only reason I gave as much as two stars is because our sales guy is wonderful and amazing! The service department on the other hand... That is like the bridge crew on the Titanic... Except they would back up and hit it again just to make sure it sinks! They send you a survey and mark they washed your car - NOT! Not even once has this actually happened. Remember to give us 5 stars??? For what exactly? Making it be like Where is Waldo to find a service person half the time when you go in? For not brining my car to me when I came to get it?? For not calling to tell me it was done??? For spilling oil on the motor when changing the oil and then leaving it?? Or for playing the did you buy it from our dealership or Mobile game?? Well... This one I did buy from Daphne vs Mobile unlike my last one. The story on that was I needed an appointment. Two week - until they figured out I bought that one in Mobile and then it was no kidding three months out. The offered explanation was "We keep those earlier slots for our customers"... Wait! I bought a KIA! Doesn't that make me a KIA customer? Deserving to be taken care of like KIA would expect its customers to be take care of? We had a highly disappointing experience here. On Friday evening, I called and spoke with internet sales manager Denae about a pre-owned Kia carnival and made an appt for the next day to come and see it. The next morning, I let her know that our plans changed (we live over an hour and a half away) but that we would plan to come on Monday. Monday morning, I let her know we'd be coming that afternoon after lunch in downtown fairhope. She was responsive to all texts, and even confirmed at 3:30pm that the vehicle was still available. When we arrived at the dealership at 4:30, we were informed that the pre-owned Carnival had sold a couple days prior but they would be happy to make us a deal on a 2026. When I explained that Denae had just texted me to say the 2025 was still available, they told me she was otherwise occupied and unable to speak with me. I'm not sure what happened, but it felt like we were mislead so as to get us to the dealership in person in an attempt to sell us a new car instead of the preowned we drove almost two hours to see. What made it worse was that we had my toddler, newborn, and elderly MIL with us. At the best, communication and organization at this dealership is very very poor and at the worst, they employ shady sales tactics. Horrible Experience. Came in for a oil change and had to get a repair. Leah was NOT truthful and neither was the Man that came to speak with ME! I told Leah my car was losing power and not keeping fire!!! And I was told $2500 and then it went to $3100 and all that was a ie!!!! Want to give a shout out to the service department manager and staff, we took our 2020 Telluride in with some difficult to diagnose and fix problems, and although it was not the smoothest process they were very professional and worked through the issues, treated us with kindness and respect, and i was so impressed and grateful ! I scratched and on the paper it had I won $700.00 I believed there was a possibility of me being able to buy my son something and it was a scam to lure people in to buy a car. 18 July 2024 was a literal 'Day of Infamy' for my Mississippi Queen Ms. Susan. She had asked me to help her Buy or Lease her 1st New Car at the young age of 68. Even though it had been over 10 years since I had bought my 10 year old Dodge Truck I agreed to 'Fly her Wing' and I did. We had some negative experiences with our Local New Car Dealers here in Pensacola and opted to head West to Daphne, AL. I had the worst experience of my life with this dealership. And still dealing with it now. 1. I traded a perfect 2016 Toyota Corolla with a $5000 down payment for a RHD 2013 wrangler lemon. 2. I was taken advantage of and led to believe there were no issues with the Jeep previous to my financing. This dealership should not get any business from anyone not buying a vehicle brand new and never touched by the team at Team Gunther. I would not even trust them to trade me a vehicle off of their lot to replace the first vehicle they gave me. As a veteran, I sort of expected some sort of reliance on a dealership to help me out with getting a reliable vehicle. After having the Jeep in my possession for 1 week it broke down on the interstate with my infant in the vehicle. With SEVEN more break downs in the first month of possession, I brought it to a local dealer for a diagnosis. It needs a new engine. I decided to just try and return it to Team Gunther. The state of Alabama does not have a cooling off period. Fine. I wisely bought an extended warranty. The Jeep stays at a dealership in my local area to fix the issues because I was assured by Team Gunther it would be covered by my warranty. Contrary to what they told me they were wrong, my warranty will not cover anything. $11,000 worth of parts and labor would fix my 1 month owned jeep from Team Gunther. And it will also NOT cover the rental car I had to use for three weeks during all of this trouble. DO NOT BUY VEHICLES FROM THESE PEOPLE. They are dishonest and completely unprofessional. read more

After multiple attempts at contacting the dealer, I have not been able to get in touch with them. The service manager Shay is a joke and will never return calls and I am not surprised to see all the people changing from week to week. This place is the worst car dealer I have ever had my car serviced with and I hope that a reputable company buys this one so I can finally have a good place to take my car. One person in service told me that the owners are never there and they don't care about how people are treated. When I asked him how he knew that he said that he has seen multiple deals go through where they have ripped a customer off. Multiple times in service that they have either lied about a service or lied about something wrong with someone's car. They also mentioned how the owners do not care about their employees as well so it is no surprise that the service and attitudes are so outrageously horrible. Two of the cars were unlocked so we checked it out. We took our time and looked over both vehicles. We browsed some more. We went inside the building and didn't see anyone. This is a new 2023 Sportage and now we have waited over a month to get it repaired, so NO RADIO...now the wait is way into August, and we cannot even make an appt. because when we call, no one answers, we leave a message, and NO ONE calls us back...so ALL SUMMER NO RADIO...ridiculous!!! We were very informed with what we wanted and wanted to spend. Everyone here was so nice and genuine and wonderful to us. These reviews are nothing like the experience we had. They treated my family like we were their family. My two year old was running around and Ashley put on cartoons for her and they gave her a balloon. Ashley was so personable and extended so much kindness to me and my family. I look forward to coming back to this dealership for services and everything else. I had an appointment and they made me wait more than an hour so I checked back and the paperwork was still not sent to that service department and the lady at the desk was not even giving any explanation. She were just chatting with her coworker so I asked them how long it will take and they didn't give me an answer so I just told him thank you I will take my car somebody ass probably they don't need the business that much. They have previously kept my car for multiple days but wouldn't let me pick it up when they hadn't even started to repair it yet... I currently have a recall on my VW car... possible exploding airbag that "could result in serious injury or death" so, they put me on a waitlist and told me nowhere else in the area can fix it. Owner sent me a text message and told me to pick up my car and take it to another dealership. 53 days and they still couldn't fix my sunroof. The ceiling and headliner of my car are filthy from greasy hands and the sunroof will not close all the way. Drive to Mobile or Pensacola if you want a Kia. I will never buy another one. Purchased a 2015 BMW X1 from the dealership 2 weeks ago. The car was leaking oil 1 week after purchase. Actually, I had to add oil the day after I left the dealership. 1 week of driving and the oil began to flow. Called the service department and got no response. I ended up taking my car to an auto repair shop and the oil gaskets were leaking and needed replacing. There is absolutely no way that they did not know about this. Sold a car with this issue! $900.00 could have fixed this and saved a future customer. I was very pleased with the young man who sold me the car. It was his first sale. I purchased a used 2016 Mazda Miata from Team Gunther on January 24. The shopping experience was great-- I used USAA's car buying service. Shawn Pomeroy, my sales rep, was courteous, responsive, and helpful. The dealership is clean and well-kept, and the sale paperwork was completed quickly by Ms. Ashley Gunther. Our initial experience was quite good. After I returned home, I discovered dry rot on all four tires. The tread depth was approximately 5/32"; the minimum legal in Alabama is 4/32". The car had a sticker saying the tires were in "fair" condition. I wouldn't say that was true. I contacted Shawn via email on 8 February. I didn't get a response so I wrote to Ms. Gunther on 12 February. After several email exchanges with her, I ordered a replacement set of tires on 16 February. They arrived on 18 February. When I went to install them on 19 February, I found that the dealership had failed to give me the unlocking key for the locking lug nuts they had installed, meaning that I couldn't replace the tires until I paid an additional $58 for a new set of lug nuts that came with teh correct key. On 19 February, I contacted the dealership via phone and spoke to Debbie at the front desk; shortly after speaking to her I received an email from Ms. Gunther saying that the tires were acceptable and sold in good faith and that the dealership had no obligation in the matter. Based on that interaction, I can't recommend them. read more

As I was vacationing my Telluride would not start. I called this dealership two times to get help and could only leave a message. No response. I jump started the car and drove an hour to get there. I was told they are appointment only. I could not get anyone to make an appointment. I left the car there and had to get rental. I left 4 messages for service and 2 messages for service manager to find out the status of my car. I emailed and text message. No response. I dealt with Steve.... would not return my calls, only wanted to communicate by email, which he very often did not return unless I emailed a minimum of three times or more. I made an appointment to get my oil changed as well. I literally sat there looking at my car in the drive up service for almost 1 hour before they even pulled it into the service bay! And the place was empty... and that was WITH an appointment scheduled over a week in advance!!! I would drive 69 miles out of my way to avoid EVER having to deal with them again!!!!!!!! We purchased a used vehicle from this dealership. It was advertised on their website as (and the salesman affirmed by phone) having air conditioning, third row seating, and a black interior. The salesman adamantly insisted it had never been in an accident, and a CarFax report was not discussed or provided. The salesman said it had been thoroughly inspected for safety and functionality by the service department. He explained that the dealership provides a 90-day warranty on all purchases (even when not specified in contract); the salesman said due to our remote location, any work would be contracted at a local dealership. The contract also included a payment of $100 to be sent to us upon receipt of our trade-in vehicle, which was being delivered to them the following week. Description of the issues - Multiple instances of fraud, misrepresentation, refusal to honor warranty, etc.: - Vehicle has no functional air conditioning, no third row seat, and a blue interior - while we grudgingly accepted the loss of the last two factors to purchase the year and model vehicle we were seeking, we were not aware that there was no air conditioning when we made the deal. - Also, after extended driving revealed that the vehicle would overheat and leaked coolant, it was determined that the water pump needs to be replaced. - CarFax documents that vehicle has been in an accident. (Found out after the fact) - We were called two days after sale, required to drive back to have safety inspection done - so we had been sent home in a potentially dangerous, un-inspected vehicle (which they had assured us HAD been inspected). - Dealership refuses to repair air conditioning, and now also the failed water pump. They will not even take or return our phone calls and refuse to honor what they called a standard warranty. - No $100 payment sent (refused). - Title paperwork was not released for over three weeks, allowing temporary permit to expire - yet was sent off prior to the safety inspection having been done. Title paperwork was completed with flagrant errors (erroneous listing of a lienholder), causing an additional week of delay before registration. Their conduct has cost us a great deal of time off work, driving back and forth from Biloxi, MS to Daphne, AL (including gas, and wear and tear on the vehicle), and time stuck waiting at the dealership (including meals, entertaining children, etc.). We are still awaiting the money owed, and driving a vehicle which was not the one represented to us. read more

THEY SOLD ME A LEMON AND WILL NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY! I bought a 2013 Juke Nismo a few weeks ago from Gunther without an extended warranty. I am having a lot of issues. It started shaking and experiencing a delayed shift on my way home from the dealership.... I thought it was the transmission. It has done so ever since. My brother spoke with the sales manager, Tony, who advised us to bring the car back for them to look at it. I paid $300.00 to have the car transported back to Team Gunther because I was afraid I'd be stranded on the side of the road alone between the town I live in and Daphne if I drove it. I live an hour and a half away. Casandra drove the car while it was there (about a week) and I was told by Trevor that the only thing wrong with it was that the tires didn't stick to the road upon acceleration because it is a small SUV. (Many people that I spoke with about that thought it to be laughable). I didn't find it funny at all and told Trevor he was a liar. It was 100% impossible to drive the car and not know there was a major issue. Since then, I had the engine mount replaced because it was broken, but it didn't help with the shaking. My next repair will be an axle. I hope that helps with the shaking. Also, my battery and brake lights come on after a few minutes of driving it (indicating issues with the transmission according to google) and it dies on me. In addition to that, after adding premium gas (which is recommended), it started skipping and the service engine soon light came on. After posting this to the Gunther's website I received a reply from Team Gunther saying that the Service Department had left me a voice message and was awaiting my reply. So, I called them and they said if I brought the car up there, they would look at it, again. So, I replied to Team Gunther with this, "So, my question is, if I pay another 300.00 to get it back up there will my experience be any different? And are you going to take responsibility for the issues since they began on day one (or before day one)? I would like a detailed response please." I never received that response. Worst sales team ever! Let's start off on the right foot. Went last monday to check out a 2012 vw toureg tdi certified preowned with 26000 miles. Drove the hour there....car wasnt on the lot. So let's check out this other one for size and space. Cody the sales rep comes over and begins the process. Tells me he has no idea where the car is. Key not there but it's not checked out. Does he go try to locate it? Nope finally he gets the sales manager Jim. Jim tells us it's out hes trying to get it back and after an hour says it will be here friday. Ok cool set an appt for today with cody. Text back and forth about pricing and taxes throught the week with cody. Drive out there another hour today......no car in fact not just no car but cody comes back to the desk interlocks his hands behind his head and says "well it's not here" that's it.no I'm sorry guys, no im working it. Just the straight smugness that dealerships are often scoffed about. Spoke with jim and he said it was out getting work and it will be back tomorrow. Well sorry jim you tried but your sales guy screwed the pooch on a 20k deal. Do not use this dealer unless you want to be played with. To not have the curtousey of calling friday is absurd. Honestly my experience here was not very good. Max was horrible and pushy and extremely rude. In person and over the phone. He would constantly tell us about how much money he is losing because of discounting the car and that because of us he has to split it with someone else and he might as well have bought the car himself. It was beyond uncomfortable. He also promised to do a bunch of stuff like fix the AC before we picked up and he never did. Assuming that's cause he lost so much money. He was horrible for my first ever car buying experience. To top it off he said in order to get a bonus I needed to write him a good review and since he lost so much money I should do it so that's why I originally posted the review below plus he made me confirm once I did it so he could see it.
