First time visiting this location. I arrived and was told they wouldn't have any boba ready for another 30 minutes. That's fine, I can wait I thought; it was nice outside. 30 minutes pass and I was told there was still no boba ready. I could sense the person working there was overwhelmed and the place was understaffed so I ordered something different. I will say, this location is more spacious than the one on the magnificent mile. However, they may need some help keeping things organized and on brand. My brown sugar milk tea was alright. I'll try this place again another day.

I haven't been here i. A while and it was actually ok they rebranded their drinks, and I didn't really care when I got the inside was still the same still very cute space but I wish I was able to get my drink. I always get and I couldn't because I didn't have it and I didn't feel like trying to figure out the kiosk

3.75/5 I wanted to round up to the 4/5 for the well-cooked tapoica pearls, but otherwise, this bubble tea wasn't the best I've had. The jasmine tea was overly sweetened, almost in a way to mask the bitterness of the tea. Also, the self-order system with the kiosk made it easier to do what you needed to do and get your drink. Cute place, but it's not somewhere where I'd grab a drink and work on things. Otherwise, it's a decent stop-shop for your bubble tea.

This is a great place to come to if you live in Hyde Park or if you go to school on campus they have a nice selection of drinks and it's really convenient to get. I highly recommend the Thai tea..

Great aesthetics in the store-- modern, cute, and casual perfect for doing work or a catchup with a friend. They had a wide selection of drinks and snacks. The drink was delicious and a nice balance of flavors. The price was a bit steep but good place overall

super good atmosphere and really good drinks! SUPER NICE WORKERS!!! and really cute cans!

Amazing drink and desert choices. Friendly staff members. The cafe itself is clean. And overall great atmosphere!

Cute place and very well placed next to a bumbling college student environment. The set up is very cute and definitely geared towards studying students to hang out. Prices are kind of high given the amount of drink you get. The tea flavor isn't. Incredibly strong, but it's not overpowering with sweetness either. The crystal bobas we're not bad.

so yummy! the ube drink is delicious. i like the options for different sugar/sweetness amounts. and the cups are adorable.

(Overall: 77% | C) - This drink starts off with an interesting premise and looks fantastic. Unfortunately, once I tasted it, it quickly unraveled as the top of the drink is pure sour and the abundance of toppings makes it overly sweet, creating no balance of flavor. The shop itself is very pretty and looks like a fun place to hang out or study, but the drinks are definitely not the highlight.

It's good. Bottles are nice and easy to open. Decor is quite welcoming. The mochinut and green tea latte tasted great. Prices were good. $10 for the combo. Perfect and calm way to end a day after the science museum.

Super cute drinks! I think this was the most aesthetically pleasing tea I've had. I got the White Mustache Ceremonial Matcha with red bean. You can choose less ice and less sweetness. There seems to be some thing on the menu that might be new for example the Dalgona Matcha and Dalgona Coffee. At this location, you have to order online and then they will have you pick it up at the store. There are some stools to sit on outside. Weather was nice, but if it's not, make sure to order ahead!

I've tried the drunken noodles, the vegetarian egg rolls, the pad thai with tofu, and the panang curry with tofu. The food is definitely palatable, but not very tasty or flavourful. I brought my mother who has spent a few years in Bangkok to this restaurant and she was definitely not happy, though there wasn't anything noticeably wrong with the food other than extreme blandness. One thing that I do appreciate about the restaurant is that many of the curries are made without fish sauce, which makes veganizing the dish relatively easy. The staff are also accommodating when requested to veganize dishes. Service is a mixed bag: the older woman can sometimes be curt though I have witnessed her being much kinder on other days. Reportedly, she is kind and accommodating towards families with younger kids as well as regular patrons. The quality of service is inconsistent among other servers. The ambiance is charmless and unremarkable, though the place is usually clean. The restaurant is easily accessible by public transport and the university shuttle. Overall, will likely not return. There is better and cheaper Thai and East Asian food to be had outside the neighbourhood.

The variety of dinner specials was great, and I enjoyed the chili beef special. I asked for the main dish to be a bit spicier, and it was still very good. It wasn't overly spicy, so the main dish was enjoyable. The soup of the day was so flavorful. It was the first thing I ate and was very satisfying. It had a great sweet flavor, yet perhaps with some lime juice to give it a good sour complement. The cucumber salad side dish was also tasty and went well with the soup. The owner catered to me both days and he was very nice. I came here 2 nights in a row and did takeout on both occasions. What I got: - Tofu Pad Thai Dinner Special ($17.95): Pad Thai was a 3.5/5 in terms of taste, but overall was a great value! Love the additions of an egg roll, soup, and cucumber salad - which was more like pickled cucumbers. Overall meal was filling! - Tofu Pad Siew ($12.25): 4/5 - I really enjoyed this! It was garlicky and had good flavor. Only downside was that the broccoli was a different variety (American) vs the traditional variation (like Chinese broccoli), but overall flavor was still good. I was served water and was able to use the restroom while I waited for my food. Staff ensures that utensils, sauce, etc are provided for the order. You can also request fortune cookies, which tbh is a bit odd for a Thai spot lol so I honestly think this spot is more Thai-Chinese fusion. I can def see a lot of influence in the cooking. While a place like this doesn't live up to nyc standards, it's a great and friendly Hyde Park neighborhood spot!

The one with vegetable was the best, even with the overcooked noodles, with nicely charred mixed veggies of carrots, broccoli, cabbage, onions and peppers. The one with tofu seemed to have less flavor, and the tofu was soft and not seasoned at all! The cucumber salad seemed fresh, but had no significant flavor and there was a ton of shredded cabbage at the bottom office the container which captured most of the dressing applied. The egg rolls arrived cold, soft, and greasy -a poor combination. I ended up placing them in the broiler the next day, along with the tofu + seasoning, to crisp up and a lot of the oil was released.
