    Bubble Waffle (Original)
    Claire W.

This bubble tea place is outside of the typical Chinatown square, so it's never very busy, but sometimes parking is more difficult. Usually there are spots right outside. They have awesome bubble tea and lots of great jelly options, including good lychee jelly. Their bubble waffles are also very good, and they serve ice cream, cotton candy, and have several cute toy vending machines.

Saw this place on social media. Since I was in the area with my mini me, I thought I'd give it a try. The smells of fresh waffle cones hit my nose first. They have some cute vending machines to keep the little ones intersThey have all these adorable characters you can dress your ice cream cone with, it's edible too. My mini me got the cookies and cream with Kuromi & I opted for the pistachio bubble waffle. The place is small and a bit crowded, but the service was friendly. They made my bubble waffle fresh. Everything was delightful and delicious. I will be back!

Came here to get dessert. We tried their gelato on a cone shaped like Pikachu and Mymelody. Also got their egg shaped waffle filled red bean and taro. Gelato was tasty and the egg waffle was delicious. I surprised the taro was a whole piece of taro! I thought it was going to be taro paste. Pleasantly surprised. The service was friendly and they answered all our questions. If you ordered their version Egg waffle, be patient as it takes them a while to cook it. Small little space with 5 stools by the window to sit on. Definitely worth a stop if you want something fun and cute to try!

1st timers for quickie delicious dessert! Cutest little place! Menus all over inside & out! English & Chinese speaking staff were very polite & friendly! Be aware that when we went, it's really warm inside. It was much more comfortable outside in the mid 70's around 9pm!

Another 4.5 review. The zoo ice cream is so absolutely adorable. So so cute. However, they do not have all of them in stock because they run out of absolutely adorable little animal ears. I was disappointed they did not have passionfruit gelato because that's what I wanted. However, the mango gelato was delicious. The little egg things are so cute and it's so hard to eat because they're so cute. They are delicious. The cotton candy machine needed to be turned on. And then when it warmed up, it also needed sticks. It was super crowded with a lot of people behind us so I was unable to get cotton candy. My son tried to Oreo mixed drink thing and I do not like the crystal pulpa. He did not like to drink. I think he wanted a milkshake. I think it was an expectation thing. I don't know if I want to drink gelato and the egg things are so good.

How cute! Everything was edible, but made a mess because of the paper ring. Take it off once you start eating it.

I've tried classic milk tea and Rose Passion Fruit Jasmine Green Tea Yakult. Friend got the Pikachu Mango "gelato". Classic milk tea has an indescribable taste that is definitely not the traditional Taiwanese black milk tea taste. Rose Passion Fruit Jasmine Green Tea Yakult only tastes like passion fruit juice with a hint of tea bitterness but could not distinctly taste green tea. The Pikachu Mango gelato is not gelato. More like a sorbet. But it doesn't taste bad and is a fun treat for the kids. No issues with service. Employees could be a little more positive or enthusiastic.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon with my wife, daughter, and our friend after lunch. There were only a couple of other customers when we came in, but it got busier with a few more families coming in later. There were two employees working and they were both very nice. One of the customers that came in seemed to be a regular since one of the employees greeted him and they were pretty friendly with each other, and the employee asked if he wanted his usual drink. I always enjoy seeing interactions like that! The space is pretty small but clean and on the corner of a mall/plaza area. No tables but have some counter space with seats along the windows. They don't have a bathroom in the store, so if you need to use one they give you a code (two codes if you're using the women's restroom) to be used inside the plaza next door. Bathrooms are on the second floor at the end of a long hallway, so if you do need to go hopefully it's not an emergency, haha. We got a Pikachu mango gelato for our daughter, I got an Avocado Yogurt With Crystal Boba, my wife got a Jasmine Green Tea Latte, and our friend got a Rose Passion Fruit Jasmine Green Tea Yakult. The crystal boba in mine was good and chewy, however we all agreed that our drinks were lacking flavor. My drink drink in particular tasted more like yogurt with a hint of avocado. The Pikachu gelato was cute and our daughter really enjoyed it. We had the option of using passion fruit or mango. We chose mango, but other pictures here show that you can apparently choose any flavor you want. And of course I had to try some as part of the Dad Tax. Flavor was decent but a bit artificial tasting. The texture was also a little icy and reminded me more of a sorbet even though it's advertised as gelato. But they include a little barrier at the top of the cone to help decrease the chance of a dripping mess, which I thought was considerate of them (but make sure your kid doesn't tip the cone over otherwise the gelato scoop will fall off...luckily I saved it before it completely fell). Overall, this seems like a great place if you have kids and want to treat them to something fun and unique like the animal gelato. I didn't try them this time but they also have waffles that they serve as either the standard bubble waffle or in the shape of actual eggs with smiley faces, which I also think is unique and fun. I'm always willing to give places a second chance so I'll try the waffles and a different drink next time to see how it is.

Tiny sweets place with super cute character selections for ice cream. I chose Kirby and it had fresh strawberries within the ice cream but it was a little difficult to eat since they were big slices. The chocolate decor on it was also flavored too! I also got all the flavors for the egg waffles. Personally I enjoyed the Taro and Red Bean flavors. Heads up this place isn't big so the only seating area is the chairs on the high table against the window.

Absolutely love it here the ice cream is so good and it doesn't taste store bought it tastes homemade! The service is excellent and they are very nice. I feel like the prices are cheap for the experience you get here :)

What a cute place; perfect for getting ice cream and going for a walk afterwards. The chocolate ice cream was very rich and yummy! Not overly sweet - which is my preference. The vanilla Pikachu was delicate. We ended up getting these adorable waffle eggs! Two plain and two with chocolate! Very creative! The service was great, nice people who seem to like working there!

We've been waiting for this place to open, and when they finally open, we just couldn't wait. It was cold, but we don't care Price - Like any other bubble tea place. So please don't complain. The place itself is small. There are only a couple of high seats, so I don't think people are meant to stick around there, which kinda a shame, but I am not one to stick anyway. The owners (I am assuming they are) are pretty nice. They keep apologizing for taking too long to give us our order, but we have a lot of stuff; ice creams, bubble teas, and bubble waffles. The taste. I'm not going to lie. I like it. I, myself, had the meteorite raw coconut latte, man, that was good! My husband had the matcha milk with red bean. He said that the place is not cheap with the matcha My kids got the ice cream. They all said good. The bubble was also good. Definitely will come back here again soon. All they need is social media now. So that people can look them up

Huge fan of their animal ice cream! You can customize your choice of ice cream flavor and animal. My favorite flavors are Cookie Monster and matcha. You should definitely check them out!

There was a line but fortunately the wait wasn't long and I saw a table open up just after I ordered. Food arrived quickly. I got the mango snowcloud and it was huge! It's definitely around a 2 or 3 people's serving size. Lushious cubes of ripe mangos sprinkled with mango popping boba surrounded the mountain of soft, pillowy, creamy, mango milk ice, which was topped with mango ice cream, further drizzled with mango sauce. It was decadent and refreshing, so tasty yet not overwhelmingly sweet. The flavors were so good!!! Highly recommend this and would be back to try other items on their menu.

We walked into a casual and modern space that works well for stopping by after a meal or meeting up with friends for something sweet. The interior is bright and clean, with a relaxed energy that makes it easy to settle in for a dessert without feeling rushed. The menu has a wide range of options, from shaved ice and mango sago to cakes and other fruit desserts, making it easy to find something depending on your mood. The mango mille crepe cake is one of the highlights and a great representation of what the shop does well. We ordered a slice and found the cake made with thin layers of crepe stacked together with cream and fresh mango, creating a texture that feels light while still being satisfying. The layers are soft and delicate, and the mango adds a bright fruitiness that keeps the dessert from feeling overly heavy or too sweet. The balance between the creamy layers and the fresh mango flavor made it feel more refreshing than a traditional cake, especially with the mango being ripe and fragrant. It was also one of the better choices for sharing, as the slice was generous enough to pass around the table. Beyond the mille crepe cake, the menu has plenty of variety with options like mango shaved ice, mango sticky rice, and fruit-based drinks. We appreciated that the desserts are presented carefully, making the experience feel more like a sit-down dessert stop rather than just grabbing something quick. The shaved ice was light and fluffy, with a good amount of mango and toppings that added texture without overwhelming the base. The fruit-based drinks were also refreshing and served as a nice palate cleanser between the richer desserts. The shop can get busy, especially after dinner hours, but the line usually moves along at a steady pace. The staff handled the flow efficiently, and the turnover was fast enough that even with a small wait, we were seated quickly. The seating area is comfortable, and the energy of the room stays lively without becoming too loud. Mango Mango Dessert is a solid Chinatown dessert destination if you are looking for fruit-forward sweets with a lighter, refreshing style. The mango mille crepe cake is a must-try for first visits and one of the items that best captures the appeal of the menu, offering a dessert that feels both visually appealing and satisfying to eat.

I wish I was able to travel with one of their cheesecakes but they require refrigeration. Anyhow the cheesecake itself was delicious super light, fluffy, and honestly felt like biting into a cloud. I had the salted egg but they had several flavor options that I would've loved to try if slices were available. The texture is what really stands out, and the flavor was unique and interesting in a good way. I couldn't quite put my finger on what it taste like, but it was sweet, but not too sweet They only sale but I consider a personal size but it's definitely enough to share with two people, maybe even three depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have. My only downside like others is the price. Paying around $19-$20 for a small cheesecake felt a bit steep, especially since they don't offer slices. I really wish they had smaller portions available so you could try different flavors without committing to a full cake prize. They package it very well and they also serve you a cute little fork set and a knife for cutting which I think is contributes to the price. The shop itself is very cute with chic décor and a lot of Asian-inspired artwork, which adds to the overall vibe. Customer service was friendly. When I visit Chicago again I'd definitely go back the texture and taste alone make it worth it but I do hope they consider offering smaller portions in the future.
