Price wise the drinks at Tea Lounge are comparable to what you can find at other milk tea places in Austin (ie Cocos), but quality wise I prefer Tea Lounge over all the other milk tea places in Austin. There are so many different types of drinks to choose from, not to mention 'sinkers' (in case you do not want the standard boba). Also, they allow you to customize your drink to your liking - for those who might be lactose, they have soy milk, and for those who just want a healthier option, you can ask them to use skim milk and to make your drink sugar free. I normally opt for their smoothies because they can actually make you a smoothie out of fresh fruit rather than the powder stuff that other milk tea places use. Score!! This is also a great place to meet up with friends just to chat or chill - they have free wi fi, and they have a good amount of board games to pass time. read more

I'm addicted to the Rose Green Tea! I like this place way more than Coco's and Tapioca house. And the location is perfect for me! They haven't been open very long, but I've been there about 7 times now. They had a 2 for 1 special so we could not resist... sometimes we'd be there more than once in a day! Even though their special is over, we definitely will still be going in for drinks and to lounge and play board games! Their prices aren't bad. The average price is about $3 for a decent sized cup! Awesome vibe, really clean, decent to good drinks. I got the Taro Cream with tapioca and gf got the Vanilla Cappacino with tapioca. I thought mine was good, she just liked hers. Only around 7.50 for both of us and the drinks came out in what I would call medium cups. P.S. I love that they have old board games to play. We busted out the dominoes while finishing our drinks, which was a nice change of pace from rushing out the door like I normally would. Nice place for bubble tea. Good tea, friendly service, but the actual inside of the shop was a little too much for me. It looked like any other place for bubble tea, flashy signs, bright decor, trendy seating, cute Asian kids on the cups, but I don't think I'd sit down to hang out in there. This place is usually crowded whenever I come, so I usually just order tapioca and leave. But I was craving for some snow ice this time around, and wanted to try something other than snow monster now that they've changed their pricing structure. I was pleasantly surprised. For ~$6, the portions were huge. My friend and I split this order and were really satisfied (full) afterwards. But when I don't get snow ice, I usually get their tapioca cream tea. I have been in the hunt for good bubble tea ever since I came back from Seattle in 2007. The day has finally come. Amazing bubble tea. Tapioca balls are perfect. They're not hard or too gooey. Here's what I really like about this place and what I love about every GREAT bubble tea restaurant: if you tell them you'd like to try something new they have you taste the finished product to make sure you're happy. Didn't exactly get the whole hype here. I've only been here twice now. I got a strawberry banana smoothie once, and then the standard boba. I got the pearls in the smoothie and tried them on their own, but personally did not enjoy it. Not to mention they are a TON of empty calories (sugar). The drinks were not bad, but I'm not sure it was great either. I'll try to give them another chance since the menu has several offerings. Best Boba in Austin! I always get the Thai Iced Tea here and have been greatly disappointed with other shops. Tapioca is cooked extremely well. The Thai Tea, or "Blastea" as they call it, tastes fresh and has a strong flavor with the right amount of half & half to not overpower the taste of the tea. The Honeydew Melon smoothie is incredible with the right amount of sweetness and creaminess. They also give a 5% discount if you use cash, which was a nice surprise at the register. I really loved this place! It's a bit on the odd side, but the drinks are really delicious and priced right. The evening I went the place was crowded, but drinks came out quickly, so there was little wait. I got a hazelnut cream tea and it had such a nice flavor. It wasn't overly sweet which I greatly appreciated. I love the little plastic cover they put on the tea, it made it very easy to drive away without spilling it everywhere. I wish I had the guts to get the boba, but I have this weird, irrational fear of choking on them and haven't been able to do it. Having used to lived in Sydney Australia where I can find bubble tea stands in every corner, I have a pretty high expectations when it comes to bubble tea. And I was pretty disappointed when I first moved here because the bubble teas are just basic in comparison. Eventually I come to terms with it, then Cocos as well as Momoko grows on me though they are a little bit out of my way. When I was 7.5 months pregnant with my twins and craving some good bubble teas, my husband suggested that we go to Tea Lounge (they just recently open at that time) and try their bubble teas and from then on I'm hooked! The cup comes in one size but it's pretty large and I think it's worth the price. I tried the avocado, taro, rose tea, strawberry tea etc and they are all yummy. I haven't tried all their toppings but I'm getting there. Highly recommended if you live more along Round Rock area since you dont have to drive all the way to 183 or downtown. read more

The best boba in Austin hands down. I've lived in California all my life and been accustomed to the California standard of boba. The boba on the drag didn't cut it for me so I went on a trek to find the best boba in Austin and this place is it. By no means is it the best boba I've had (tPumps and purple kow in the bay are amazing) but it's about the equivalent of the standard California boba. The ice cream coffee with boba is great to keep you up at night for studying and the cream green tea is my favorite as well. Totally worth the drive up north for boba. Taro cream blast tasted great, but it was killed in less than 5 minutes since it was full of ice. I can't say the same for the fresh fruit tea in regards to flavor because I was not expecting to taste lucas in my green tea base drink with fresh fruits... Disappointed with the staff. For one, drinks are not consistent. As in one person makes the drink sweeter whereas another person makes it 10 times sweeter or very bland. Also, if u ask them to redo your drink, they will talk bad about behind your back. Unbeknownst to them, I can speak and understand spanish. Probably the best place I've gone for bubble/milk tea! Ordered the frozen green tea matcha with half sugar and it had the right balance of flavors - you can taste the green tea, the minor sweetness and the ice was well blended with no ice chunks. It came in a large size cup and was only $3 with the 15% member's discount. My friend ordered the jasmine milk green tea with boba - the jasmine tea really shone through the milk and it was light and refreshing. There's are a variety of jellies to pick from for drinks. I came here this past weekend and was greatly disappointed, We got the avocado smoothie, taro smoothie and red bean smoothie. All three of these drinks were very watery! It's like they put too much ice in them so all the flavors barely tasted like anything. Great little boba tea spot right next to my place. it's always super busy but they get the lines down quickly. All the drinks are pretty standard but they have like 100+ drinks which is awesome. I always end up getting the Jasmine green tea with cream or Jasmine milk tea whichever you want to call it. They have all the boba you could want, different sizes or you can go and get lychee jelly pineapple jelly etc. They make smoothies too but I have yet to try those yet because well the teas are really that good. I have been coming here since they opened this location and the drinks haven't changed. Don't try and re-invent the wheel right? But great quality boba for a decent price most drinks run less than 4 dollars. Wish they would get onto the shaved ice, I know they do it but it's not like CoCo's yet!!! So far my favorite bubble tea place. The parking is a open shared lot with a strip of shops off Parmer. I always get my favorite, Jasmine Green Tea with tapioca and almond pudding. The drinks are decently priced and you get the larger sized cups. They have a free drink policy, you just use your phone number to log your number of drinks. You buy 5 get one free. They also have happy hour from 8-2 pm with buy 2 get one free drinks. They have couches, tables, chairs, ottomans and outdoor tables for all the different ways you can sit and a large shelf of board games you can play. Not very loud so I assume good for studying. Been to this place several times and quite frankly, it doesn't impress me. Just like another yelper noted, this establishment is just a replica of the Tea Lounge in Houston, same menu. In my opinion, this place gets hyped up just becase there aren't many boba places in town for comparison to begin with! All their fruit smoothies & slushies are made out of powder mixes and pulps instead of using real fresh fruits. That's pretty disappointing. They should at least use real fresh fruits when makin common fruit drinks like strawberries, pineapples, etc., etc. And to make things worse, their fruit drinks are pretty sweet. I have had several kinds, and they're all on the sweet side. One time I had to even return my passion fruit creme blend smoothie because it was extremelly sweet! And I ordered this tart flavor precisely to counteract the sweetness of the drink! Huge miss on their side! As far as their iced coffee goes, they're pretty standard, nothing special about them. Also, they don't offer any decaf coffee. Definitely this place doesn't even come close to Starbucks coffee. Better save your money and don't waste it here if you're looking for a good iced coffee. Their tea choices are plentiful and are a better drink choice than their smoothies. And if you're like me who doesn't like drinks to be really sweet, just ask them to add less syrup! Lastly, this place is just ok. It's good for haning out with friends. kind of boxy but brightly decorated. It's Kind of pricey too for all those artificial ingredients they use to make their drinks. First time going we ordered Thai tea, mango slush, and a cantaloupe smoothie all with tapioca. Can't go wrong with Thai tea, mango slush was fresh and the cantaloupe smoothie was amazing. The only downside was that their boba isn't that great. It wasn't hard or under/overly sweet but it just wasn't that good. Second time we ordered a matcha smoothie and a watermelon slush.
