More of a 2.5 star experience here, but we're bumping it up to three stars due to the location in 99 Ranch, which we walked around afterwards to shop for fun snacks, etc. The person working the register was "friendly" but more in that pedantic holier-than-thou way that we found mostly grating...like we were doing them the favor by ordering! And our teas were not very good. The taro tasted like pure cream and there were so many tapioca balls at the bottom of the cup that it felt like you were mainlining gummies into your digestive tract. The mango flavor was cloying, and the "traditional" ice tea coconut was too strong. The price point seemed high for the quality. Maybe because our first true boba experience was at Teapioca in the Arboretum and that determined our pallet about bubble teas, but we just cannot find another place that we like as much as there. With a name like Fruitealicious and an expansive menu that seems like it's trying too hard, I was expecting very mediocre, powdery boba. However, I was extremely surprised by how decent the boba was here! This spot is located between the Ranch 99 (sorry for you 99 Ranch people) bakery and hot deli. Ice and sugar levels can be adjusted. They take your card to pay on their side between a plexiglass screen and then will ask if you'd like to tip. I'm conflicted in these scenarios because it's a simple counter store with no actual service and the seating is from Ranch 99. At other boba spots, there'll be wifi and seating from the actual store but this is a simple window shop. Obviously tipping is "optional" but tipping culture has been blown out of proportion so I've accepted that a default tip is something to include on any purchase when eating out and this is worsened when they hold the iPad and stare at you. Classic Milk Tea w/ Boba - first of all, boba is one of the best in the area for sure. It's chewy with a strong flavor, so it's marinated well. Classic milk tea is a simple black milk tea leaning away from the tea. The balance definitely is in favor of the creamer used. While the tea itself was nothing to write home about, the boba was fantastic and the overall boba is well made. read more

I love this place and wish it were closer to me! Hint hint..open a location in Round Rock, please. My husband and kids get boba often. Like a couple of times a week. I rarely get anything because it's calories that I cannot afford. But...any time we get Fruitealicious, I always get my own. As of late, the Horchacha has been my go to and I'm not even a huge cinnamon fan. It's light yet decadent. Kind of how you'd expect an ice cold bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk to taste with really good boba inside it. They definitely have unique flavors in haven't seen at other boba places. They're located inside Ranch 99 and even though it looks like you can just walk in from the outside signage, you have to go into the main grocery store, hang a right and it's past another "stall" that's a bakery. It's not a big deal and doesn't take too long but I wish they had a more "contactless" way to get the drinks. Usually hubs runs in and out and picks up our order. This place is great! read more

First time trying a purely herbal Chrysanthemum boba tea, but it was a welcome surprise! We were aiming for something non caffeine and different than a typical milk-based option. I was very disappointed by the taste of my drink, after seeing so many positive reviews. It is located in the food court of 99 Ranch Market, right next to the bakery area. The only positive was the Yelp offer of one free upgrade (from medium to large) by checking in. The employees working were also friendly. I saw one of the employees "make" the Iced Taro Milk Tea with Tapioca first. The taro milk tea mixture had already been pre-made and was poured from a large jug. That should've been a warning sign that the drinks wouldn't be the best. I ordered an Iced Lychee Chrysanthemum Tea with Grass Jelly, and it was very watered down. I could barely tell that the base was chrysanthemum tea. It was so diluted that it could have easily been any diluted tea and not chrysanthemum at all. I got my drink at 25% sweetness because I really like the floral notes of chrysanthemum but sadly was unable to taste any. The grass jelly tasted good, but had a thicker texture than I would prefer. The thicker texture made it harder to slurp up the jelly with the tea. I will definitely not be back to get any more bubble teas from here. There are plenty of boba shops that offer better quality drinks at a similar price point. read more

There is two sizes and they have a rewards program which is nice. The service is pretty quick. It's located inside 99 ranch market near the bakery when you walk in. And they offer really really wonderful service, because it was very late at night and they had no real obligation to serve me, and they still managed to hook us up with some excellent drinks, and some really friendly service as well, which we weren't expecting. Then I went and did something stupid and dropped one of my drinks all over their floor. Guess what they did? They replaced it right away for free even though they were closing down. That's wonderful service right there. So we definitely consider this to be one of the better locations that we ever went to, and right up there with the very best ones in Dallas. And if you do check out this franchise, you have to give the brown sugar milk tea a try, which I think is their best drink. But if you're going down the fruit road, you might be impressed by the Raspberry Black Tea, or especially the very strange but delicious Aloe Vera Refresher drink, which kind of rocks my world in a weird way. Regardless, this is one of the best Boba shops we've been to, one of the very best in Austin, and everyone passing through the A T X should be giving this a try. I've had hundreds of different boba drinks in my lifetime and although I think the Austin boba game is lacking, I also believe this is the best place to grab some which is saying a lot because there are at least 3 other shops in the same plaza. I normally grab one of the fruit teas like passion fruit or one of their specialty drinks and they always hit the spot. In my eyes, the reason their boba stands out is because of the customization options. There is something here for everyone. I like my boba to taste like tea instead of sweet syrup (no hate if you do, it's just not for me) and compared to other shops, this is the only one that will actually give me what I want. There are other bubble tea places nearer to me than this one, but I don't mind driving further to get my favorite drinks here. Most bubble tea drinks are too sweet for me. But Fruitealicious lets you customize the sweetness, 75%, 50%, 25%, unsweetened, or 125% if you want to go sugar crazy. THIS for me is a big plus. Giving this place 5 stars based on their Black Sugar Milk Tea. Being Taiwanese, I've had my fair share of bubble tea. OMG YESSSSS! I'm newly obsessed with boba thanks yo the great experience I had at Fruitealicious today. I got the coconut milk tea with boba, 75% sweetness and it is DELICIOUS. My daughter got the horchata milk tea with Boba 75% sweetness and she loved it. my son got the lemonade with green apple flavor and green apple jellys. I tasted it and was lovely, but just a little bit sour for me so next time I will probably try the lemonade but get a different flavor that's not as sour as green apple. My husband got the black sugar milk tea with boba. I tasted it and it was wonderful. The girl working the register was super super nice and friendly. I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews but the drinks here are simple average. I've had my fair share of boba throughout my life and this place reminds me of the random ones around my PWI college campus if not worse. I ordered a taro milk tea with tapioca, it wasn't anything special, just tasted like water and taro powder. I know most places use powder but this one was just really bland and boring. The tapioca balls were made well and had a good chew though! Overall just your average boba, it's would be nice to get while shopping around the 99 ranch supermarket that it is inside of but not something you should go out of your way for. read more

I came to this boba shop after seeing its high rating, but was disappointed by the quality of the milk tea. The drinks come out very quickly, but this is because they're pre-made in jugs. I ordered the taro milk tea, and it was artificially purple, a bit watery, and too sweet for me despite getting half sugar. I also tried my friend's passion fruit tea, which was basically just water with a hint of fruity sourness to it.
