I came here because there was a pop up and decided to quickly grab/try their matcha drink. The strawberry matcha was good but not special enough for me to go out of my way to get it. This place is a bit far for me but if it was closer, I'd probably visit it more often. I thought the matcha could've had a bit more strawberry puree/flavor but overall their matcha was pretty good. Not too strong though if you usually prefer that. Good service. They have been having a lot of fun pop ups! Definitely recommend visiting and supporting the other local bakeries/businesses as well.

Nothing like a refreshing drink after brunch ! The ambiance in Junbi is so cute and perfect for a tea shop! The menu had really good options! I grabbed the Yuzu Dragon Fruit Jasmine Tea . It was a little wait because it got busy. My drink was so pretty and looked tasted. I got a large. They don't have medium sizes, only small and large. My drink was tasty, but I should've gotten my tea a little sweeter than normal! Overall, I had a good experience.

Incredible matcha ice cream. High quality drinks. Limited seating inside, but it's a boba/soft serve shop, I'm ok with not sitting down as long as the drinks are good

The matcha here is absolutely delicious. Both drinks and ice cream have high quality matcha that you can taste- and everything isn't overwhelmingly sweet. The cafe itself is very nice and cozy, offering board games and coloring books. Highly recommend this place if you love matcha!

Another day, another matcha! Junbi is a super cute spot, with lots of different offerings on their menu, and of course specializing in their matcha drinks. I was really caught between trying the Miffy Sakura Lychee Matcha Latte and the Madagascar Vanilla Matcha Latte, but decided on the Miffy in the end, just because it's limited edition. While it was super delicious, and really refreshing, due to the sakura and lychee flavors making it so light, it didn't really taste like a matcha latte. I know there was milk in it, but it was just so light. And the lychee really overpowered any matcha flavor at all. I'm still really glad to have tried it, but I would probably go for something else if you're in the mood for a matcha latte. Will try the Madagascar vanilla matcha latte next time!

We were so excited to try Junbi while visiting Austin. The matcha is the best quality we've had! My husband went with the Golden Peach Matcha Latte and I found a favorite with their Dirty Matcha Blended. We also love that they have soft serve which was perfect for our kids! The rice balls are also made to order so you're getting them fresh -- we tried all the flavors and loved them! The place felt welcoming and cozy -- it was the perfect spot to catch up with our friends and cool down from the summer heat. The people there were accommodating and ready to answer questions since the menu can get overwhelming. I do love the option that you can build your own drink. We can't wait to go back the next time we visit Austin!

Solid matcha spot! Been to the Richardson location before and it was pretty good so I knew the 30 min drive from Austin is gonna be worth it. (this is in Cedar Park) I came here the second day they opened. I should have come the day before but didn't know about the BOGO :( While they are known for their matcha drinks, I decided to get hojicha (roasted green tea) and it was very fragrant. I'm satisfied with the sizes too. The interior is so cute and they have a Miffy section selling teas, teaware, etc.

I got a guava matcha latte and it was quite watered down so I couldn't really taste the matcha flavor. Boba was also just okay. The salmon onigiri was good though, I might come back just for that! But probably won't get drinks from here anymore.

I went today, bummed I should have gone tomorrow. Grand opening special. I got the strawberry matcha latte and like it says, the matcha is smooth. I opted for less sweet and it had plenty of sweetness for me. I will say at $7.25 a tad steeper than most of their competitors but for the quality it's not bad. I would go back again, just not regularly. The server at the front is still getting used to the menu and didn't realize the whole milk alternatives are $1.25 extra, which i think is a bit much to exchange out for milk. But the interior is like other Junbi stores I've been to. I wish it were in a different store location, it's a little hard to see from the street and feels like a tight location parking wise. Overall not a bad matcha store.

A great addition to Cedar Park/Leander area. They offer fairly good quality matcha unlike other boba tea places. I ordered with mango this time and it was a nice balance of sweet with 50% sweetness and less ice. Folks were informative and advised given the mango already has sweetness, I can lower my sweet to 50% which was on point! Boba had perfect texture. I will come back to try just Matcha tea next time without any added flavors to really get the taste of matcha.

I have been waiting for this place to open since I had it in Houston. Their matcha drinks are pretty good, and I am glad they are finally open and nearby. Since I had my caffeine intake already, I decided to go with the Mango Refresher. I like their pieces of fruit in the drink, and it isn't overly sweet for me. For those who usually don't like sugar, you might ask for less sweet. The inside is kind of small. They do have a few tables along the right side of the store. They are still working on getting the computers up for self-ordering on the left side. Service is pretty fast; it didn't take more than a few minutes for me to get my two drinks.

Beverages and Soft Serve I tried several drinks: the ceremonial matcha cold brew, strawberry chrysanthemum tea, golden peach matcha, and the strawberry vanilla matcha swirl. The ceremonial matcha had a deeper umami flavor compared to the regular matcha, which I really enjoyed. The strawberry chrysanthemum tea was also a standout -- I've always liked the floral notes of chrysanthemum tea, and the addition of strawberry purée gave it a pleasant natural sweetness. I asked for 0% sugar, and honestly, the purée provided enough sweetness on its own. If you prefer less sugary drinks, I'd recommend trying it that way. The golden peach matcha was good, especially after mixing it well, but it's not something I'd go out of my way to order again. As for the strawberry vanilla matcha swirl, it was just okay. The ingredients sounded amazing -- strawberry jam, vanilla and matcha ice cream, matcha powder, coconut flakes, and aloe -- and I was expecting it to be more exciting. While I could taste the matcha, the vanilla and strawberry flavors were subtle. I did enjoy the crunch from the coconut flakes, but the ice cream melted quickly, likely due to the aloe and its juice at the bottom of the cup. Given the price, I wouldn't recommend this soft serve. Build-Your-Own Beverages They offer a customizable drink menu limited to loose tea and fruit-based beverages. You can choose your base (tea or juice), milk, add-ons like jellies, purée, sweetener, and adjust the sugar and ice levels to your preference. Ambience and Amenities The WiFi password is displayed on a glass panel near the counter. Seating is limited -- one table for four and about four two-person tables (if I recall correctly). It can get busy, so finding a seat might take a bit of luck, especially if you're planning to hang out with friends. The interior design and color scheme are bright and uplifting. I gave Junbi 5 stars because there are a few items I genuinely enjoy, especially the ceremonial matcha and the strawberry chrysanthemum tea. That said, not everything on the menu feels equally well thought out. Some items sounded better in concept than in execution. So I'd recommend taking a few minutes to read some reviews or look through photos before ordering -- it can help you make a more satisfying choice.

I'm glad that Junbi opened up in Austin. When I'm craving a matcha drink, I can always rely on Junbi to satisfy that craving. I enjoy drinking their Cold Strawberry Matcha Latte. It's both light and refreshing, perfect for a warm, summer day. I get less ice with regular sweet and it's the perfect combination for me. Service is typically quick at this location. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter. There is plenty of parking as it's located in a small plaza.

We made the drive up north to try it before they close since they carry some Vietnamese snacks that are hard to find in Austin. Their menu is extensive covering drinks, desserts, and snacks so it took us a while to decide on our order. All their drinks are lactose free which was great to hear. The staff was nice but it did take a while for everything to come out. Peppermint Pandan Latte / Sam Dua Bac Ha ($6.95) + Crystal Boba ($0.95): We got this at 75% sweet and it was delicious. You can distinctly taste both the peppermint and pandan and it was really refreshing. Matcha Lover ($8.75): We got this at 75% sweet as well. It is a matcha latte with matcha foam, matcha pudding, and matcha mochi. We were not huge fans of this one. The foam was really thick and creamy which made it hard to mix, and the drink had a strange taste that we think came from the flour on the matcha mochi. I think it would have been better if we had eaten the mochi off the top first before mixing everything together. Popcorn Chicken ($8.75): This was okay. They used a different type of batter than what I am used to and it was pretty bland. I didn't like the chili dipping sauce either. Taiwanese popcorn chicken is still way better to me. Mixed Soft Rice Paper With Full Topping / BT Phoi Suong Full Topping ($14): This was our first time having banh trang tron with dried meat and seafood toppings. It also came with a sliced hard boiled egg instead of quail eggs. Very interesting and different. I really wished it came with tamarind sauce because that was the one flavor I felt was missing and would have tied everything together. The portion size also felt a bit small for the price.

The server was adamant about us tasting the flavors before we made our selection! We got the strawberry chunk, mango sorbet, salty little secret, vanilla & pistachio. Since we were new, we let the other people go first. The line moved very slow in total. It took about 15 minutes before it was our turn to sample their flavors. For me personally, I was a bit bummed to see all these delicious flavors that were available, but I wasn't able to sample many of them because I have a dairy allergy. So that being said, they only had one flavor that I could try at the time I did appreciate that they had a laminated sheet of paper that listed all of the allergens and all of their flavors, so anyone that had an allergy could quickly see which flavors they could try and which ones they should avoid. During my visit, I ordered their mint basil sorbet which was very good. At five dollars per scoop, it's definitely on the pricier side. However, the ambience inside this ice cream shop was nice and I could see myself hanging out here socially if they had more dairy free options. But overall, I had an okay experience here. The workers were very friendly and knowledgeable. They are located in a small plaza with ample parking. It was also easy to get in and out of the parking lot, which I think is a big plus.

But we received a BOGO coupon in the mail, and sure enough we wanted to try them out again. When we got there, the bobarista happily accepted the coupon and took our order. I went for their Lychee Green Tea and P2 ordered their Uber Smoothie. It didn't take too long for our drinks to come out, around 5-7 minutes. We were seated on some comfy chairs, and the bobarista served our drinks to us. I think presentation-wise, they did a good job. They claim to have "beverage aesthetics" and I tend to agree. Does having good "beverage aesthetics" make a drink taste better? No, definitely not. We both thought our drinks weren't too bad, however. I had ordered my drink with 0% sugar but I added boba to mine. My drink also already came with lychee coconut, so the two toppings sweetened my drink naturally. P2 complained that her drink was still too sweet for her liking. We appreciated the service and the pleasant ambience inside. I took off a star because the drinks were just too expensive. Without a coupon, I don't think we would come back here with drinks costing $7-8 each!

I'm giving it two stars because I do like the drinks here, but otherwise, the place kind of sucks…read more I've had to wait 15-30 minutes for my drink (very simple milk tea) because they have awful time management, and only seem to work on one drink at a time instead of batching. So, if a drink needs to be steeped, they will wait until every drink in front of it has been finished to even start the 5-10 minute steeping process, instead of starting to steep the leaves while they work on blended drinks. Three employees wander around aimlessly while dozens of people wait for a single, simple drink. Most other boba places are able to get drinks out within a minute or two. What is your excuse? There is truly no reason for a single milk tea to take 30 minutes. Fix your training. EDIT: In response to the owner, I do understand that popularity will slow things down, but that wasn't what I was observing. It was a steady trickle of guests coming in every few minutes, and it seems like the crowd was created from congestion of orders stacking up at a higher rate in than they were going out. Orders were only being handed out every several minutes, and while I have also worked in food service/retail and understand having to take breaks and slow down sometimes, the employees seemed like they were just meandering about without a care in the world. I'm truly not sure why, at the very least, steeping wouldn't be started early. I go to a lot of boba places, and I've had many good friends who work (or worked) at boba places, even if I have not directly worked at one myself. The employee behavior was not like anything I've ever seen before.
