It was alright, my wife enjoyed it which is all that counts since that was her birthday present surprise. The acrobats and singers were great. Some of the other skits were a little campy and drawn out, but not too bad. The food was ok, I wasn't blown away by the meal, but not much to complain about...and the service was great. But, then at the end they add a service fee to the bill, 8 bux per person. Evidently, the meal is included in the ticket price, but the service isn't? I don't get out much though, maybe that's standard practice with dinner shows like this, but seems a bit nickel/dimey to slip it in at the end like that rather than just including it in the ticket price. I can't say enough about this experience. From the start, visually, you are transported to Moulin Rouge meets Cirque de Soliel. The venue is a tented space which feels intimate, and welcoming. You are seated around the center stage where most of the activity occurs. There is a 5 person big band which is at the end of the tent and they are elevated so that you can really appreciate their talents. Without giving too much away, you will be blown away by every single perfomer and performance. Comedy, singing, acrobatics..... There is so much talent within that room, and it's all within feet of where you are. I can't remember the last time I laughed so much. We went with friends and all 6 of us were in agreement, we are coming back.....again, and again. read more

Part Las Vegas-esque dinner theater from the 50's, part European style circus for adults, Teatro Zinzanni is uproariously funny, magically beautiful and astonishingly acrobatic and athletic. From start to finish the multinational cast, including Chicago's own extraordinary static trapeze artists, Duo Rose, interact with the audience seated around their performing space. The singing, both cabaret and classical, is remarkable. The comedy is broad and colorful and had me pounding the table because I was laughing so hard. There is a joy in this ensemble and their performance that is palpable. This is truly a unique experience.. 3 hours jammed with entertainment coming at you from all angles and in a massive amount of variety. Every staff person makes the evening click from the time you enter the hotel.. Up to the 14th floor for the dedicated space. Immediate cocktail beer and wine service in the greeting area.. Quick check to the tent and you start getting the story of the tent and the what the evening will be like. Food courses are timed well for the show with logical breaks to eat and visit the facilities.. No FOMO. Food service is part of the show.. So the entire room moves in unison... Very nice touch. Such an amazing experience! Not only do they have highly trained performers, but the food actually tastes great too! There's definitely something for everyone. A little comedy, singing, acrobatics. There was a nice storyline that continued throughout the show. Dinner was served pretty late, so we were starving but had some appetizers to munch on. I had the salmon, which was superb. My husband had the short ribs. He had wanted to try some salmon, but the mushroom sauce was so good that there wasn't any left to share! Haha We went with a larger group and everyone enjoyed it. We also got to take photos with the cast after the show. We will be back and plan to bring out of town guests here for a fun evening. read more

We really loved everything about it -- the space, the entertainment-- the food. I have to say at first I thought it was expensive, but afterwards I think it is a great value. You get a four course meal plus three hours of entertainment and if you went to a show you would pay close to it let alone also go out for dinner. I appreciated that dinner was spread out throughout the show so you really don't feel rushed. The actors and entertainers were all great and I liked that they were around after the show to mingle, take photos, etc. My only negative is depending on your seat you might have a pole blocking you, but you can work your way around it. Finally, feedback for the owners/promoter-- you are new and people don't know what you are about so instead of charging for photos and. Or allowing photos or videos during the show (I completely understand during the ariel work so not to distract them) you might want to consider a way to encourage people to post on social media. Wow, the energy, the spectacle, the amazing acrobatics with several talented chanteuses! What a wonderful fun night for my birthday celebration with friends. There was something to Ooh and Aah over from the moment we walked into the lobby and then when we walked into the tent there was even more to see and enjoy! Nellie, our waitress, was attentive to our needs and she took good care of us all evening. They were also accommodating to my gluten sensitive diet. Our table was set with a hummus appetizer with vegetables instead of pita chips for me. There were a couple of gf options on both the appetizer and entree menu. I was excited to see that the short ribs entree was one of those gf choices, served with mashed potatoes and honey carrots, which were good pairings. On to the acts - The Maestro - Voronin, was fun to see up close and personal at our table while he performed magic acts for us. What fun! Alseny Slylla's acrobatic routine near the beginning of the show had us in awe. We were amazed later in the show when we witnessed the Icariani Brothers toss each other in the air. Domitil Aiilot, as the Chef, was a nice surprise demonstrating his acrobatic abilities. Manuela, the yodeling dominatrix, was a site to behold. Kevin Kent, as Doilie, kept us laughing the entire evening. I really wasn't sure what to expect, but I heard from friends that it was an amazing show. It most certainly was a great show that I would recommend and plan to see again and again. read more

I have seen TZ in Seattle and SFO, so I was happy when they announced plans to open in The Loop. It's a great space with an incredible story behind it. That's detailed in the program, so I won't go into it here. Frank Ferrante fronts this version and is literally the public face of the show as the Caesar, a flamboyant, martini-swilling chef. This is a cirque show with great aerialists, pole acts, a comedy team, and the vocal stylings of Lady Rizo. Your ticket includes a multi-course gourmet meal prepared by a real chef. The crowd ranged from 8 to 80, and everyone had a good time. Frank is there thru September 2019, and another edition of the show will load in. BONUS: On September 17, Frank will do his day job, a one-man show called AN EVENING WITH GROUCHO, which I have seen all over the country, but rarely in a setting as beautiful as this. read more

This place is INCREDIBLE. I've been to shows in the past but nothing even close to this. The entire cast are amazing. The customer service is second to none. You must go! It was so entertaining. The food was pretty good, quite tasty. But the best part was the performers. I laughed so much. The one concern I had was that a family brought their young children. I'm certain the kids didn't understand the ribald humor but I don't think I'd have brought kids that age. I must say, if you can, you must go to this show. To preface, I went to see Hamilton on Friday and this on Saturday. Teatro ZinZanni was WAY better. Ticket includes a four course dinner, which doesn't even matter. You will be amazed by the acrobatics, laugh until you cry, hear amazing vocals, and enjoy the three hour dinner show. The performers are really good. I enjoyed the show. The food was pretty good. We encountered a problem right away and it never got addressed. There were three of us and we had to sit separately. I brought the problem to the managers attention via our server and never saw a manager until I requested to see one when the bill came 3 hours later. Then as I'm leaving I hear the so called manager telling another employee "that's them" talking about us. Needless to say I did not feel welcomed or thanked for my visit. read more

I had gone previously in September, so it was incredible to see a completely different show with a new hilarious and ridiculously talented cast! This experience is seriously overpriced. We bought tickets for a Sunday brunch for the Outer Ring, since everything else was sold out. The ticket was $119 per person but by time they add processing fees we ended up with a $544.15 for four of us. This does not include any beverage, not even a soda or orange juice or coffee. Really? They could not include a soft drink that cost them less then 50 cent when they charge you $119 per ticket? And what brunch does not have mimosa or at least OJ or coffee included? We booked this for our son's birthday and they do not announce birthdays or even stick a candle on the dessert. Nothing. On top of that there is a $10 per person hospitality fee, which is the gratuity for the servers whether you are pleased with the service or not. They required a 3 layer mask so we went to get them before the show just to find out that they let everyone in with any masks and did not enforce the 3 layer masks. Even their own staff did not wear a 3 layer mask. The show is nice. The two singers are exceptional. The comedy is cute. The area acrobatics were a bit clunky. The food was nice. Service however was absolutely terrible. They did not have our name on the list so we had to wait half an hour downstairs. When we finally got up there they forgot about us and everyone already got their salads when we have not even seen a waiter. They got our orders wrong and the entire time we were neglected. The waitress blatantly ignored us and took care of the inner tables that paid more for the tickets. We were last even getting our checks. We complained to the manager about the $10 hospitality fee. We were told that she could not do anything about that but will be happy to comp our two drinks on the bill. That was nice of her however I do not understand how can they force a customer to pay a gratuity for such poor service. If you have four drinks then this will cost you $644.15 which is way much for this food and show. read more

Go for the show. Not the food. It's a campy tent show just like any of them currently running. Funny. Highs and lows. Comedy depends on your sense of humor. Highlights were the athletic feats and the some singers. The comedic bits usually went on way too long. The impressive singing was held to the Opera singer and yodeler. The physical feats, as always with this style show, are why you go to see the show Audience participation is limited to the men in the audience and not the women. Go with a good group of friends or a couples date night. Show is long and dinner is presented throughout the show. Do not go hungry. We were thrilled we did a little happy hour across the way prior to arriving. Show starts at 7 but dinner is not served until 9 and sooooo they offer at an additional cost appetizers. Lucky we weren't hungry because the table next to us ordered apps and were gravely disappointed in cost to amount to taste ratio. 2 glasses of drinkable wine was over $30 pre tip The kale salad was comparable to a salad served in first class on a plane. Warm limp lettuce with a few accoutrements and doused in a ladle of institutional dressing Per direction of a friend who went with a group previously we avoided the salmon and all had the short ribs 4 thin slices of meat and a scoop of potatoes with a creamy horseradish sauce and cold roasted carrots. Small but tasty. But by then the audience is pretty hungry.
