My husband and I came in for dinner at 7:30pm on a Friday evening. They offer valet parking and there is pay to park around as well. We were greeted right away and taken to our table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Light music was playing and the room had beautiful decor and lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Water was brought with the option of tap or sparkling. We ordered a drink, hummus appetizer with bread, the platter entree for 2 and dessert. Menus is QR code. Everything was cooked to perfection and Amine provided excellent service. We even had one of the managers, I believe, stop by and ask us how everything was going. Very personable. We could not stay for the show that started at 9pm, but we were informed Saturdays show is great as well. We will definitely be back thanks to the great service of Amine and the delicious food.

Only good thing was the tiramisu.

THIS PLACE HAS GONE DOWN HILL. EVERYTHING IS A MONEY GRAB. BEWARE. I've been here before, two years ago and it was quite nice, but now.... We get there at 7:15 PM and it's completely empty on a Friday night. That should have been a cue for me to turn around and head straight out the door. We ordered the Alahambra Platter - Chicken kabob*, beef filet kabob**, beef kefta kabob** and chicken kefta kabob*, served with grilled vegetables and basmati rice; and their Hummus appetizer to start. The beef "fillet" kabob was dry and hard to chew (overcooked). We actually asked for it to be prepared medium rare, but our server, Adnane J recommended that we have it cooked medium-well - he said otherwise we may get sick if it was undercooked. I should've known then that this place was not what it use to be. The beef and chicken kefta kebab has the most flavor, but nothing to write home about. Their hummus was very good though. It's odd that the place was empty and they had tons of servers standing around, but still we had to wait for Our server to take our order or even ask for anything else. Their tiramisu was decent. BUYER BEWARE, IF YOU COME ON A FRIDAY, YOU WILL BE CHARGED $10 FOR ENTERTAINMENT, EVEN THOUGH YOU'RE NOT STAYING TO WATCH THE SHOW . We had no idea there was going to be a show and there was no indication that there would be a show, much less be charged for one. It all seems crooked. The server, Adnane J was also very deceitful in saying that we didn't have to tip if we were unhappy, but that's because the Sneak applied an automatic gratuity of 18%!?! What dishonest server and establishment! All in all, it was a VERY DISAPPOINTING experience. I went to this restaurant without looking at the current ratings because of my previous experience two years ago, which was quite delightful, but Unfortunately, their current rating from other reviewers holds true. SKIP THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE HONESTY.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Wonderful ambiance after all these years. Still a beautiful interior and nice events to enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food rating: Platter and salad were perfect to share for 4 adults. Meats: a bit overcooked and slightly underseasoned. Pita bread: good Baba ghanoush: good, but could've had more seasoning Rice: good Fatoush Salad: tasty, the shell was a nice touch but a bit oily. Service: Waiter was average, a bit non-chalant, had to remind him for things a couple times and it wasn't that busy as far as dining guests went. Other ladies like the hostess was nice and helpful. Overall good experience.

Went there for a Diwali celebration and everything felt like a money grab. They took pictures and tried to charge us to buy them. The babaganush was good and creamy, but the surprise minimum on our table of two was not explained to us before sitting down. The pina colada was not mixed well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance was tacky but could be good for families looking for a night out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We always have so much fun in Alhambra place is amazing food as well what I notice lately the prices are very high for beverages and entertainment. We had few times celebration there and was pretty expensive.

I went there for a Diwali celebration, paid $60 for two tickets. I ordered a virgin piña colada, it wasn't mixed. So it was just pineapple juice and coconut mix on ice. The baba ganouj was decent. When we tried to leave, the waitress angrily said there's a $30 minimum per person. I explained that we already paid $30 per person just to get in. She immediately ignored that and said "that is something else". We asked for the manager, when he came he seemed to have no knowledge of what the waitress said. We paid for what we ate and left. Oh and there's a photographer going around selling photos. Everything felt like a money grab.

I loved this place! I've rode past this place all the time but never stopped until recently! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is beautiful! The decor makes you feel like you're in another country, and they have cool artifacts![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was amazing, our server was very attentive and even gave us suggestions! The food was so flavorful and it didn't take too long to come out! Overall an amazing experience and I will certainly be making another visit!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Alhambra is a BEAUTIFUL spot, especially if you want to take photos. Aesthetics 10/10.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service is incredible and everyone is so nice. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The live shows are so cool, and they go all out to get the best performers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Owners, managers and DJ are all super kind to locals and visitors alike. No hookah anymore but the food was also delicious, we tried just about everything & all of it was just what we were craving.

Haven't been here in decades whoa... its still around (unlike the Wild Hare) and kickin' good job Al. Food menu seems trimmed down a lot from what I remember, and per our server, there is a minimum purchase of $30 per person (that we just made) and an add-on entertainment charge of $5... that is not mentioned anywhere on their website. Pita was more warmed up and had some oil and dried herb sprinkles, better than I recall but not anywhere as good as Naf Naf. The beef kefka was good, the rest standard rice and veg. Entrées are all about $25-30 aside from salmon... and drinks at $18 geezus. Personally, I found the volume too high for the music. Did not allow conversation. My friend mentioned the vibe as being like a wedding reception. Truth. TBH It's probably going to be another decade before I go back, if ever.

Have mixed feelings about this place; really enchanting or Moroccan Disney. Some amazing decor. Came here as a friend was performing. Good Mediterranean food, but not sure of the elevated price. We live on the north side and there are so many good Mediterranean restaurants there. We ordered the Alhambra Platter for two. Plenty of left overs for the next night.

We chose to dine at Girl & the Goat in Chicago, a restaurant we had never visited before. The acclaimed restaurant by renowned chef Stephanie Izard truly lived up to its stellar reputation! One of the first things we appreciated was the convenience of the restaurant's valet parking, located right by the front patio. At $22 for up to four hours and $26 for four to eight hours, the rates were quite reasonable for the area. As soon as the three of us stepped inside Girl & the Goat (we had made a reservation for 6:30 pm on a Friday), we were warmly greeted by one of the two friendly hostesses, and were promptly led to a comfortable four-top table with a banquette and two chairs along the wall. We felt fortunate to have one of the better tables in the dining room, as some of the others were positioned very close together. The nearby two-top tables, in particular, were quite small and placed only a short distance from ours. The restaurant's rustic-industrial décor was dark but trendy and stylish, the lively and vibrant vibe was warm and welcoming. However, I have to mention that it was really loud in the dining room, as guests seemed to be enjoying themselves and talked loudly.  It was hard to hear our server and the staff who delivered and explained the dishes to us.  Our server, Yazmin, was extremely friendly and attentive.  It was very sweet of her to wish us a happy anniversary both in the beginning  and at the end of the meal.  She also checked in on us several times during the evening.  Now, on to the food and drinks. I started with a glass of the NA Sparkling Rosé ($17), which was light, crisp, and quite refreshing. My husband ordered a glass of Le Colture Prosecco ($18), while our daughter chose the Sun Kid ($18). She enjoyed her drink, although she felt the portion was a bit small, as the glass was filled with a lot of ice that took up much of the space. Since the restaurant offers small to medium plates which are shareable, Yazmin advised us to get 5 to 6 dishes for 3 people to share.  We decided to get 5 savory dishes and 3 desserts to share: Savory dishes: - Chickpea Fritters ($20), goat yogurt, green chutney, sev spice crunch, pickled rhubarb. - Pan Roasted Halibut ($37), miso-Marcona almond butter, spring onion blueberry nuoc cham. - Roasted Pig Face ($28), sunny side egg, tamarind, cilantro, red wine-maple, potato stix. - Goat Empanadas ($24), smoked tomato-corn salsa, roasted poblano crema queso fresco. - Confit Goat Belly ($38), strawberry goat braise, smoked yogurt drizzle, pickled strawberries. Desserts: - Vacation, Please! ($16), toasted coconut crunch, lemon passion fruit sorbet, rum-soaked pineapple cake. - Berry Yummy Par-tea ($16), earl grey soaked sponge cake, yuzu curd, spiced blackberries. - Chocolate Basil Brownie Bash ($16), olive oil semifreddo, chocolate fennel crunch, basil granita. The meal was just phenomenal!  All the savory dishes were cooked perfectly with bold flavors; the meats were tender and full of flavors.  There were dishes that we normally would not have ordered if we saw them on menus of other restaurants.  Here, we tried them and were delighted that we did!  Our consensus is that Roasted Pig Face is our most favorite! It is everything we love in a comfort dish -- crispy on the outside, meltingly tender inside, and packed with rich, balanced flavor.  We will definitely order this again!  The Confit Goat Belly is a close second, with buttery, fall-apart meat and just the right balance of richness, acidity, and crunch. For dessert, "Vacation, Please!" is the one that we will always come back for. The toasted coconut crunch adds texture, the lemon passion fruit sorbet brings a refreshing tang, and the rum-soaked pineapple cake ties it all together with just the right amount of sweetness.  The other two desserts that we ordered were also very good.  The staff even brought out a scoop of Chocolate Ice Cream on the house, with two lit candles to celebrate our anniversary - a thoughtful touch that made the evening even more memorable.  This dessert spread was the perfect ending to an incredible meal. I'd like to mention that the restaurant added a 4% surcharge to the bill, which the customer may request to have the surcharge remove if you choose.  We let them keep it. We spent about two hours at the restaurant. The savory dishes came out very quickly, the pace probably was even a tad too fast, but the desserts made up for it by taking a longer time.  We did not mind as we were still full, and had time to enjoy the ambiance more.  I would say it is a restaurant great for group gathering and celebratory functions, but not so much for intimate romantic date night.  All in all, it was a wonderful dinner, we look forward to returning again.

I was there the other week (I've been here at least five times before), and a busser--not our…read morewaiter--started clearing both of our plates before we were finished eating. We each only had a couple of bites left, but it definitely gave off an "okay, you're done now" vibe. Then he went to take the green beans (arguably the cult classic on the menu), and we still had more than half of them left. I had to stop him and say, "Yeah, we're not done with those. We paid for them. Can you put them in a to-go box instead?" For context, it was about 20 minutes before closing, but we ordered with plenty of time and were already eating with a "get in, eat, and get out" mindset. I've just never had someone at a restaurant start clearing plates while we were still actively eating--without asking, "Are you finished?" "Can I clear this?" or "Would you like a to-go box?" It was just... "You're done, these are leaving now." We were there for less than 45 minutes, left about 15 minutes before closing, and spent over $200 (not including the tip). With so many options in Chicago, I don't see myself coming back here.

Mezza [Combo platter including Baba Ghanoush, Hummus, Ta'ameya(falafel), Tabboula(salad): Our favorite was the Banana Ghanoush, as it was one of the most flavorful baba ghanoush I have had and contained a very good char. The hummus was a little more on the sour side, and the texture of the salad was refreshing. The bread was also made fresh and was refillable as well, which we appreciated. My friend liked the falafel, but I think it was a little too dry, and I wish they could increase the intensity of the spices to make it pop out more. The chili sauce helped a lot though. Cairo Platter (Kofta, Chicken, Beef): The Kofta is my favorite-seasoned, soft and tender. Out of the two times I got this, the chicken and the beef were not as moist/juicy-they were okay. Overall I wish they gave us more Kofta though, since there wasn't much of it, and the platter was on the pricier side. Shawarma Plate: The shawarma was tasty and the portions were good. I personally liked adding the chili sauce on top. Macorrona Bechamel: Our favorite dish. It tasted like Mac and cheese but the flavors are even more nuanced and complex. Very delicious and honestly we wished we ordered one per person . Overall I really like the restaurant, and I think some of the dishes were really well made, you just need to find them :). I hope the quality is more consistent as we will visit again.
