It was far from the limited menu and "See here is our brewery equipment" place. Researching their website, we were convinced this was the place to be on our "chasin' racin'" weekend. My companion noticed that the clientele was quite diverse. I noted that also. We both agreed it was a sign of a thriving establishment. Autumn was our server and she was a lot of fun. Conversant, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive, she was just great. One of my sides was a Caesar Salad. It was copious to the point that I could not finish it when it was appropriately brought out ahead of time. As a diabetic, I am concerned about carbs, but the Alaskan Whitefish grabbed me . While my plate was messy, I peeled off the coating and enjoyed the nice tender fish inside. In Tennessee, corn pudding is different than what they brought me, but it was wonderful. Bread pudding of the day was S'mores. I had my fill, brought home the rest and my family loved it. Local history was abundant. The menu held an article on local history and the lobby had many historic photos of local interest. I took many photos of them for remembrance. Chances are I will never return to Kokomo. But if I do go back. This is where I will dine.

It can get pretty busy, though, so if you're planning to bring a larger group, I'd recommend visiting during non-peak hours. One of our favorite things is their great pricing on buckets of Sun Cruisers, and we love that you can mix and match the flavors instead of being limited to just one. It's a small touch that makes the experience even better. If you order the wings, don't skip the signature sauce. We've become huge fans of it, and it's one of the reasons we keep coming back. Overall, it's a great spot to grab a drink, catch up with friends, and enjoy the patio. Next on our list is trying the giant pretzel, which is served with your choice of queso or mustard. Looking forward to giving that a try on our next visit!

Lots of sports playing on the TV. Limited nearby parking is a down side but some further away to walk. This time I tried the kids meal of 2 chicken tenders and plate full of homemade chips. There is no 'meat taste' at all so get in here and give these a try. I had a feeling I would love it and I did. It's a large yet cozy venue with the number 5 featured prominently in assorted art as well as on the tables. The building is historic, lots of wood, brick and brass railings plus a stunning Victorian bar back. We ate at the bar which was very comfortable. Little sliding wooden trays to make it convenient for eating, then just move them out of the way when you're done. They have 10 or so craft beers on tap and a full bar. We had the opportunity to sample a couple brews and we both enjoyed our beer choices and the food. Prices were fair, and tax is included in the menu price. I really want to shout out our bartender/server. Didn't get her name but she had round glasses with eyeglass chain attached and was on the shorter side. She was very customer focused, answering all our first-timer questions, attentive, appropriately conversational, and definitely on the ball as she was handling tables too. Top notch service. About those railings: unless there's a special back entrance, the venue may not be wheelchair accessible. There are two or three steps at the entrance, and if you want the bar instead of booth or table, another three or four. Both have sturdy solid handrails. I do not fault them for this; probably the historic building is exempt, but just wanted to note it for anyone needing that info. All in all a five star experience and I hope to return soon.

Loud trucks aside, it was a good move (and the trucks added "character!) They make all of their beers and they have quite a selection. I even found a Belgian Triple! It was my lucky day. I ordered Mandarin Grilled chicken salad (I realized there were absolutely no mandarin oranges. Come to find out AFTERWARDS they're out of mandarins. The kitchen needs to wake up, even for a Sunday.) It was okay, the feta was definitely not fresh, likely prefab, but the chicken was really good. And the dressing (supposedly homemade) was a nice dipping sauce. I also ordered the Beer braised beef panini. It had horseradish inside. Really nice bread and cooked to perfection. And last, my server, Jordyn. She was friggin awesome. She made me feel like I was just hanging out on her back porch. So friendly and helpful.
