I brought my Subaru to Tecce's after a fender scrape in my parking spot. I was told elsewhere that the entire bumper would have to be replaced. Larry looked at it and said, you can replace the bumper, or I can touch it up with paint for you. He could have left the last part out - but he was true to his word, and I went back with touch up paint. He did a great job and did not charge me, and I can't say enough about the customer service he offered. While I hope I 'never' have to go to Tecce's again, if I need bodywork I will definitely return! Highly recommend. read more

Fantastic! We had to go there for two small repairs recently that were unfortunately not paid for by insurance, due to deductible limits and the bazztard 'hit and run' driver. I thought we would've had to make an appointment to have it checked out, but he checked the vehicle out both times right then and there, and we got the repairs done within days. So I have learned this week that there are some pretty bad people and some very nice people...I had gone shopping yesterday and as I was walking out I seen an old man touching and looking at my car.. he informed me that he thought it was his car....he walked away and that is when I noticed that something wasn't right with my car..I Took it to Subaru today and said " why does my door look like this?" Apparently my car was T-boned at the rim of my front passenger side tire well and that made my door bellow inwards...I started the week before of my vacation having to buy 4 new tires for my truck as I got a nail in it and couldn't be plugged, $1100. Dollars later and now this, UGH so Subaru handed me this card and I drove over to Tecce's and asked him how much this was going to cost?, how long will I be without my car?, Larry came out and looked at my car, he put his hand in the tire well and bent it, pressed on the door frame, and the door was back in place, he then proceeded to take another spot (when car was a week old, Armand fell into the car) I had left the dent there, Larry puts his hand in there, and presto, in 5 min. Fixed all the problems, that looked worse than it was and Larry Tecce was a honest businessman that could have easily taken my car in kept it for a week and charged me $1000. plus and I would not had known any better...He didn't charge me and wanted no payment. I can't tell you how much this man made me feel!!! I am double whammy , I'm a female and recently widowed and he was so honest with me!! I had the pleasure of being a customer of Larry Tecce of TECCES AUTO BODY in Wakefield Ma. I had to write a review for Larry and his team. My experience was top notch, he took care of my unique situation which involved a local glass company at 143 Washington Street in Reading Ma. They completely damaged my 2021 Honda CRV during a simple windshield claim through insurance. I ended up with a complete headache and inconvenience for days dealing with my insurance having to file another claim for the damage caused by the auto glass company which they sent me too in the first place and were not taking responsibility. Extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. Actually had to deal with these guys twice- unfortunately for me. First you have to listen to the owner whine for 15 minutes, complaining about the insurance companies and how rottten his life is. The you get the "nobody would do that job at THAT price" crap, and the "I gottta keep your car for 3 days just to fill out all the paperwork" crap - I walked out, went over to Stoneham Auto Body repair over in Reading- It was like night and day. They said "Ok, no problem, bring it in Monday." I did. The work was done. No problem. No whining, no crap. Save yourself a headache. Definitely skip Tecce's in Wakefield. read more

I have to say I had the opposite experience as the other reviewer. I got rear ended going south on 93 and since I have a Subaru I brought it here. The owner was very attentive and held true to my request to use only OEM parts, and not some garbage parts that the insurance company would've liked to use. They kept me updated and answered all my questions during the process. I had to get a muffler, exhaust, tail light and whole bumper replaced and the car looks just like it did before the accident, maybe even better. Even the paint is perfect, which I know from experience is hard to do. Hopefully more people will review this place so we're not stuck at two extremes, but in my experience, Tecce's is professional and fantastic at what they do. read more

I recently had a small accident with a garage pole. One of those small yellow ones that protect pipes in a garage; however to small to see if backing up. I backed up and dented my whole back passanger panel and bumper. I had my Insurance ompany take a look at it and after a $1,000 Deductible they allotted me $126.75 for the repair. I asked around to family, friends and co-workers and finally several people suggested if I wanted to work with somebody trustworthy to go to Tecce Collision and Frame on Main Street in Wakefield. Best advise I ever received. The owner worked with me to keep the cost down realizing I was on a budgt and the car has 140,000 miles and did not want to invest too much. He did offer to call the Insurance Company to receive a supplement; howver that would have put me over the $500 threshold and then you incur a suurcharge. I told him to do what he felt was needed and I would pay out of pocket. I received a call from him and he explaied the bumper came in much higher than he quoted and did not reccomend replacing it at hat cost. He was able to use a chemical and remove the yellow paint and paint it, which wasmuch less expensive. He also arranged for a rental car for me and told that I could put that trough Insurance, since I had coverage and it would not put me over the $500 threshold. I was willing to incur the cost myself, but after checking with my Insurance Company thery said that was correct. I was very happy with the outcome of the work, customer service and intergrity of the owner. It did not look like the car was hit. He returned my car on time and also did not charge for the allowance the Insurance company gave me for replacement of the bumper. I would reccomend if you need a repair and are like me like a fish out of water when it comes to cars. I highly reccomend Tecce's Collision anf Frame read more

Tecce's recently helped us get through a post-fender bender / annoying insurance company drama on our Subaru Impreza. Not only did they do a great job with the car (of course, our primary goal) but they dealt with a difficult insurance process AND with the fact that the after-market parts required kept coming in damaged. They relentlessly pursued the right parts for our car AND defended to the insurance company why this was the best option for resolution. We had our Jeep Wrangler repaired here about 5 years ago. Recently we noticed the fender that was repaired had gotten rusty. We took the jeep back to see about having it fixed and the owner remembered our repair, dug through his old files and discovered the fender was still under its warranty as a replacement part! The entire repair was covered under the warranty and fixed within three days of dropping off the car. We were extremely happy with the work and the fact that the owner searched through years of old files to help us out! read more

Recently had my rear bumper repaired by Tecce's. I am happy with the quality of the work. Since the insurance of the guy that hit me was paying for it, there was a lot of back and forth with the appraiser, insurance, and shop. Tecce's handled all of it and I thought they went the extra mile to get more money so the repair could be done properly. I would recommend them and go back if I need more bodywork. read more

Watch out for this shop! At first, the owner appears laid back and only interested in getting the job done for you. But, after having him repair my car, he lied about a call he said he made to me, telling me the bill would be more than originally quoted and he was very aggressive with me when I went to speak to him in his office. At one point in the conversation, he became so angered by my asking him for a detailed breakdown of all costs associated with the repairs that he called one of his workers in to the office to tell him to reverse some of the work that had been done. All I can say is that I am SO glad I brought a guy with me. Despite my earnest attempt to obtain transparency from the owner, I never got what I was seeking and he got extra money out of me for doing NO extra repairs on my vehicle. Buyer beware. read more
