We came last weekend for a family outing to celebrate my sister's 27th birthday, and we had such a great time. The arena itself is very nice and clean -- even the bathrooms were spotless, which I always appreciate. The atmosphere was such a vibe. I added a couple videos to show it: one with the regular lighting and another when they had the blue lights going with music, which really set the mood and got everyone excited before the game. There were a lot of good food options like pizza, pretzels, slushies, and sausage & peppers. I didn't get photos of the food, but everything looked good and the lines moved pretty quickly. The game itself was super fun. Even though this isn't the Sharks arena, I actually loved how intimate it felt because it's smaller -- you feel closer to the action and the energy from the crowd is amazing. There were also a lot of vendors with merch deals, which was a nice bonus. And because it's hockey... we even got a classic little moment on the ice nothing crazy, just the players squaring up with the ref in the middle -- definitely added to the excitement. This was my first time at the arena for a hockey game. It was a fun experience and game, without any energy missing from the crowd and players. Intermission breaks were entertaining. I got thirsty around round 2 and went to get a draft beer, during intermission, I went to the concession stand, of it two of them there. The first one ran out of draft beer! The second one didn't though, but still the wait times there take time. Although, I could have went to a bar there, it would have been nice to have the food stand open. I would say the place is well kept and clean. There is enough TV's to know what's going on, when out of your seat. The seats can be on the harder side, if you go to sport venues and bring a seat cushion, bring it here. A parking garage is across the street. Street parking is very limited. Enjoyed my time and keep warm, it can get cold. read more

I've been to plenty of San Jose Sharks games at SAP Center, but this was my first time attending an AHL San Jose Barracuda game at the Tech CU Arena. Note, it's much colder in the Tech CU arena vs. SAP Center so bundle up accordingly. I'm glad I attended a game, but I don't need to come back. Parking is $15. They accept card. 1 EV charging station is available at the front. The concession offerings are meh and pale in comparison to SAP Center. I ordered their Loaded Tater Tots ($14.95) and a Draft Pacifico ($13.45). The chili that comes with the tots is extremely salty. read more

Perfect-sized arena (not a bad seat anywhere), AMAZING food (pulled pork sandwich/fries = must), and hands down the friendliest staff I've ever experienced at a venue. Huge shoutout to Phuong -- helped us park, made sure my husband (wheelchair user) was comfortable, checked in on us inside, and even helped us take a group photo after the game. That level of care? I love attending the Barracudas games with my kiddos. They love it too. It's family friendly, easy to get in and out, and I can't say enough how appreciative I am that they let me bring in my own food. This makes it so much better to enjoy the game and tend to my 8 year olds. Parking across the street is easy peasy. The games are entertaining and I wish I knew how to get my kids as game show contestants! I was invited by the Yelp Elite. Thank you to the Yelp Elite for inviting me. I spontaneously decided to watch it alone. The smell of the ice rink brought back memories for me. I used to go ice skating when I was young. The Yelp Elite taught me about the high-five tunnel. The crowd and I cheered for the players and gave high-fives and fist bumps during the ice hockey game. I had a great time watching it. I also noticed that the ice hockey game was accessible for everyone. Great Arena, great views from all angles. We sat in 107 one night and 116 both great spots. Bathrooms are well maintained/ clean & easy access. The food is ok but the fresh baked cookies are amazing (that was the benefit of sitting in 107). The game is very interactive with the announcers and frenzy going around to each section. They really involve the kids with games. We had a great time watching my son sing with his school the national anthem. Thanks Barracuda's for the fun night. read more

Came here for the first time to support my team at Fight Night at the Tech last weekend. This arena's dope. It's a much cleaner and sleeker version of the SAP center. The outside is a bit dull, but the inside is nice. Bright, easy to navigate, plenty of air conditioning, clean seats. The seat map online was deceivingly (but delightfully) not to scale. I sat in section 116, row 3 and the view was surprisingly great. You get an unobstructed view of the ring and the Jumbotron. Definitely would consider getting tickets here again. I believe the most prime seating would be on the side from 113-111, but you can't go wrong. It's a super small arena so all seats are relatively close. The SJSU South Campus parking garage was vacant across the street and was only $4 for the day. Paid through the ParkMobile app (Zone 9033). Getting in and out was no trouble at all. Closes at midnight. Some knocks: The food options were boring and drink options were very limited. There were no energy drinks or caffeine options at all. The staff, who I assume were employed by SAP based on the blue jackets, had no sense of urgency in regards to drink spills. There were about 3 full beers spilled along the stairs and nobody cleaned it up for hours. With such high foot-traffic to enter the floor area, you'd think they'd have some towels lying around just in case someone falls. Overall, cool venue. Would check it out again. 4/5 read more

I went to my first San Jose Barracuda game last night and I had a really great time! It was my first time at this venue and it was very clean and the entry was very easy. They have a good assortment of drinks and food to enjoy during your game and or show. They also get extra points for having coke zero, my fave soda if I drink one. I'm not a fan of Pepsi and a lot of stadiums carry this product. I ordered a foorlong corn dog and a coke zero. The corn dog was good but I wish the hot dog portion was a bit more. I was definitely still hungry after. I found the seats were very comfortable and with someone who has bigger hips the seats very much accommodated my comfort. Each seat also has a cup holder for your convenience. I didn't get a chance to use their restrooms so I can't comment on the comfort or cleanliness of them but given the stadium is newer, I'm sure they were clean. I'm excited to come back for another hockey game, I had a great time. I recommend it especially for families or if you just want an easy going night with friends or family. read more

Recently watched a Baracuda game at Tech CU Arena and it was a great time! I wasn't sure to expect. I've watched Sharks games at SAP and this is basically a smaller version. It might not be as bright or clean looking (though it is clean, the seats are just dark), but you get a good view no matter where you are in the arena. In fact, from our seats on the corner, I would flinch every time a puck came flying our way and I feel like I could see the hockey players' faces get pushed up on the wall lol. They have a good amount of food choices around the arena and the lines never got too long. Just be prepared to pay game day / arena prices (we're talking like, $20 for 3 tenders and fries). They do have beers and alcohol available for purchase but again, game day prices. They even serve beer in a hockey stick which is really fun. You can walk the loop around the arena pretty quickly as well. Note that there are ~17 sections. So if you're trying to get to section 101 and you're at section 15, go towards the higher sections and not the lower ones (our mistake and we ended up walking around the whole space). Parking is really easy here because they've got quite a few parking lots and we ended up parking at the nearby SJSU garage. Staff was great, especially with dealing with the crowds. Anyways, I'm convinced I'm a hockey fan now. Go Barracuda! read more

I like what they've done with the place. The arena feels spacious and very very clean. It's cool to see the team going on and off the ice before warmups inside the concourse. The food is pretty mediocre and really pricey though, I would not come here on an empty stomach, else you'll spend a pretty penny. I also like the wall of jerseys, it's pretty cool. read more

Kind of afraid to share how amazing this place is. We love the San Jose Sharks, but just can't afford to go to their games. Well, their feeder minor league hockey team, The Barracuda is just what the doctor ordered. This is a state of the art, spanking new building next to the Logitech ice rink. Tickets right now as of January 2023 can be purchased for as low as $13! The building has clean bathrooms, food vendors, a couple bars to buy booze, and seriously not a bad seat in the house. My husband and I look forward to going here. If you have a family, I've seen kids dancing their hearts out, so they make it onto the jumbo camera. Most of the time they achieve their mission. We don't have kids, but enjoy people watching. I've seen couples, individuals, and people who just love hockey. Give it a try if you're like me and just want to watch a game. Note: Parking isn't free, it's $10 to park at the garage across the street. We feel for the amount of fun and entertainment we get, it's okay with us. read more

As much as I would like to rate 5 stars I recently attended a playoff game at TCU in San Jose and was met with a very poor culture of hockey fans. Mascot was celebrating a birthday in the row in front of me and set off some confetti at which time it landed in my beer that was only half drank. At which time the community of people who think they are Sharks fans started to bully and laugh at me. At which time I showed the ushers my beer full of confetti and instantly .......I was the problem ..... told not to go back to my seat. This review is for Aramark food service that runs all the stands. All the different food stands in this arena are the most disorganized unmanaged places I have ever seen in any arena. We are season ticket holders to the Barracuda and we're just about done with getting food at this place It's inconsistent. It's disorganized. The people don't know what they're doing that work in the stands because it's different people every game. They run out of crap which I don't understand as somebody who was an executive chef sous chef restaurant manager for over 25 years. I can't even believe some of the stuff I see at these stands. SMH ! I think it all has to do with the management for Aramark. Every single one of those stands there needs to have a manager in it. Last night the one stand that has hamburgers and sausages they run out of hot links that are cooked 45 minutes before the game even starts. Instead of throwing the hot links on the grill with the hamburgers and with the peppers and onions are sauteing they're here waiting to get done sauteing peppers and onions before they put the hot links on which is just ridiculous. The inconsistencies in some stands are unbelievable to pizza stand. One time you'll get a really nice big piece of pizza in the next time they hand you a little tiny piece of pizza and it's a lot of money for that thing inconsistencies. The chicken tenders one time you'll get some that are a nice size and other time you get some that are not a nice size. The way they keep things warm they put too much food up under a warmer and you're lucky to get hot food a lot of the times. We literally have to ask for the food that they're just putting up there to make sure we get hot food. The bar on the club side for the people that have club seats is atrocious. They have no cocktail menu they have hardly any liquor It's just unbelievable. read more

Great new arena! We attended the second game of the season. We had some seats not too far from the ice behind one of the goals. It seems to me that there may not be a bad seat in the house. The venue feels intimate, even though capacity is 4,200. Seating was comfortable, concessions were good, and restrooms plentiful and clean. The building is spectacular! I look forward to attending future Barracuda games. Parking is in a nearby SJSU parking garage. read more

The bay area can always use more hockey rinks with a population of the size. This arena is the perfect size for a minor hockey league team or even a D1 college program. I do chuckle when I walk into the rink as it's a 4000 seat venue, but it still smells like a recreational hockey rink. The parking is located just across the street in the SJSU parking facility and it's 10 bucks for a game. Sadly, there are no EV chargers in this parking structure and I think that's a hugely missed opportunity. Hopefully the coda can put on a better show compared to the sharks and give us sharks fan some hope for the future read more

Nifty little sports arena to watch minor league hockey. Doesn't appear to be a bad spot in the house and we had a great seat to see the action. Place seems well designed, with plenty of shops, concessions and rest rooms. My only gripe is that they didn't have any churros. Other than that, this new arena is close to perfect. read more

Came here last minute to check out a barracuda game and we're not disappointed. They had a bunch of fun little activities to do before the game. My kids especially loved spinning the wheel and getting some free swag. We got a pair of sun glasses, bracelets and a pull string backpack. We also bought some pucks to Chuck after 2nd quarter and my daughter won a face off prize, which was a draw string back pack filled with barracuda swag. She got a baseball cap, bracelets, Sun glasses, pen, and a hand sanitizer with a cool case. The highlight for my son was making it on the jumbo screen!! We also managed to catch a free T-Shirt when they did one of the short tosses!! The food was good as they had quite a bit to choose from like tacos, nachos, pizza, hot dogs or pretzels. Their drinks were good, but just a tad pricey. I just felt bad for the poor bartenders as they're were only 2 and people were unsure where the line started and people were acting BEYOND RUDE to one another.
