-99 stars for the AFL (Arena Football League) for shutting down for the 2009 season, they say that they will return next year, but I have my doubts. (They made some very questionable decisions for expansion locations...) +25 stars for the Saber kittens. Normally not a fan of the cheerleaders, they usually get in the way of the sports, I must say I do like them and appreciate their routines. I think that Golden State should replace their warrior girls with them. +50 stars for the smart ownership, John Fry, (owner of fry electronics) your a awesome owner who made good, smart business practices that entertain the fans night in and night out! The half time shows kick ass! +25 stars for Arena bowl championships in 2002, 2004 and 2007, two conference titles and eight division titles. +25 fun and affordable evenings out for the family and players always gave autographs to the little ones.... And the ladies. Sadly I was neither. +500 stars for the very supportive fans that continually has a very high turn out, 10,000+ at every game! They give such an electric atmosphere! I really, really hope that they come back next year in 2010. It honestly isn't looking to good considering that they are offering full refunds to their 2009 season ticket holders if you call their office. Let's hope they will come back soon, the Sabercats gave me my football fix when the NFL is on vacation. If you haven't seen one in person, you've severally missed out, so make sure that you pray to the football gods that the AFL's return....

As an NFL junkie I'm always going though football withdrawals during the off-season. Some friends and I decided to watch the San Jose Sabercats game to fill the void. While it's not the same as watching NFL games it was still somewhat exciting. This is the best way I can explain watching the Sabercats play or any arena football games. While watching the game is fun I can't take it seriously. I don't know any of the players so I can't root for them and while I might have a general sense of the rules I still don't know all the rules in detail. Overall, it was a good experience and I'm glad I went. My friends and I are already planning on going to the next home game.

I've been to many earthquakes games over the last ten years. I also watch almost every game on tv…read more It's the local professional soccer team in the Bay Area. They are one of the original mls teams from the beginning in the 90s. Chris Wondolowski is the legendary local player. The stadium is open and modern with food trucks, open air bar and a great atmosphere. The fans are passionate and make the environment fun. It's a family friendly environment. Tickets are reasonable for sports games. The reason I give 3 stars is because the owners and management have turned this team into one of the worst in the league. The owners refuse to keep up with investment in players like other teams. It makes being a supportive fan very difficult. The good news is that they recently fired the awful general manager and things will hopefully improve.

The San Jose Earthquakes are one of the original nine MLS members that began play in 1996. Over…read morethat time, the Quakes have qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs nine times and won two of them (2001 and 2003). In addition to those two championships, the team was very successful in the early 2000s, making the playoffs five straight years from 2001 to 2005. Probably the most well-known person to play for the Quakes is retired American soccer star Landon Donovan. The MLS MVP award is named after him after all. Donovan won a record six MLS Cups during his playing career. He was a member of both the 2001 and 2003 San Jose championship teams. While he was the team's top goalscorer in 2003 (12 goals), Salvadoran striker Ronald Cerritos was actually the team's top scorer in 2001 (11 goals). In 2001, Quakes coach Frank Yallop was named MLS Coach of the Year and players Jeff Agoos and Troy Dayak won the Defender of the Year and Comeback Player of the Year awards, respectively. In 2003, Quakes goalkeeper Pat Onstad was the league's Goalkeeper of the Year. Due to a combination of stadium, ownership, trademark, and other related issues, the San Jose Earthquakes were inactive for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. The team really hasn't been the same since, failing to qualify for the playoffs most years. Over the past decade, San Jose has routinely finished sixth or worst in the Western Conference. On the bright side, the Earthquakes are one of only a handful of MLS teams to win the MLS Cup multiple times. They've also won the Supporters' Shield twice for having the best regular season record in 2005 and 2012. San Jose is currently led by All-Star veteran forward Chris Wondolowski whose present stint with the team began in 2009. Wondolowski led the league in scoring two times (2010, 2012) and was MVP in 2012. He is, by far, the franchise's all-time leader in games played and goals scored. His records would be even greater if his stats from his time with the Houston Dynamo (2006-2009) somehow counted, but that is another story.

Bang Bang Niner Gang!…read more Been a fan since forever. Most always a solid product put forth. Props to Eddie D. for bankrolling some phenomenal years. Bill Walsh was in my opinion the best head coach ever in the NFL! It's been a while since the last bb Super Bowl trophy. I remain faithful that another will come our way bb soon.

I am devastated. After 60 years of being an ultimate Niner fan, I must admit they way they handled…read moretaking seats away from me was horrible. Legal yes, terribly mismanaged, also yes. Here is my story. I saw my first game at Kezar Stadium in 1967. I have followed the niners closely my entire life. I have watched a couple hundred niner games on TV both home and away. I never liked Candlestick for football, so did not become a season ticket holder until Levi's was built. I have had two tickets in the club section, 50-yard line since 2014. I paid license fees for those seats. Our first few years there we found the sun was a bit much on that side and began looking for more tickets. In 2021 we added 4 seats into a new section called Owners Patio. We stayed there for a few years, when again the sun was an issue so we tried the North Owners Patio which was worse for sun and terrible for watching the game, too many rowdy , drunk fans in that area. We moved back to the South Owners Patio, purchasing 4 seats last season. Typically, each year the team would send us an email in early June asking if we were going to renew our seats, and for the past 4 years we have. This year we did not get an email, so we sent one to the team asking about renewing our 4 seats again and we got this surprising response: From 49ER SALES PERSONNEL: "I figured it would be easier to converse over the phone but happy to work through via email. Your South Owners Patio seats from last season are not available to the public for this upcoming season, so I have 2 renewal options for you: North Owners Patio * Row 2, seats 3 to 5 - 3 seats total * Row 1, seats 9 & 10 - 2 seats total "Please note, your seats prior was on the South Owners Patio, and these are on the North Owners Patio. Please also note you can purchase both blocks above (5 total) or purchase either single block - 3 seats total or 2 seats total" Notice neither of these options include 4 seats, which is what I had and what I was expecting to renew. I subsequently found out our seats were taken by "Ownership". Meaning The 49ers took on some minority owners during the offseason and they needed 10 more seats because there was no more room in Jed York's suite. Now it's correct to say that these seats were not guaranteed as no license fee was required to purchase them, so the 49ERS had the right to take those seats. Using the terms not available to the public this year, implies something one off happened and maybe you can get them back next year. It's pretty doubtful the seats taken by new minority owners are going to be available next year. NOT SURE WHY THEY EVEN BOTHERED TO SAY ANYTHING WOULD BE AVAILABLE WHY NOT TELL THE TRUTH HERE AS YOU ARE SCREWING OVER YOUR CUSTOMERS ANYWAYS. You would think however that maybe they shouldn't just nab them without having replacement seats available, no? I have spent over $ 400,000 for tickets in the past 5 years, you would have thought that mattered, but alas it did not. I have owned and operated a business for the past 37 years, and I can assure you this is no way to treat a loyal longtime customer. Sadly, disappointed my seats were taken from me, I will now work to disengage from my other tickets and determined not to financially support anything 49ers. Suffice it to say, THE NINERS SUCK.
