I was super-happy about finding this business with such a good reviews in Yelp. Chase came to my place to help me install my audio system. I felt like he failed to remember why he was there and the first ten minutes of our conversation was spent on his attempts to convince me what I bought (very reputable brands) were not good and the fact that I should just return them and buy what he has in his shop which was about 3-4 thousands dollars more expensive and way above my budget. I kept interrupting to remind him about my budget limit, the fact that I am not an audio-junky and the reason he is there (installment) but he would quickly default back to his sales-person mode. We are still investigating this business. But my recommendation, as a former Macintosh repair technician is DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS SERVICE. I had an old client call me and beg me to come over and clean up the mess that Chase of Tech Related made. Client was switching from Time Warner to Verizon and could not send email. Classic tech support issue 101 - you can't send from a Time Warner account through Verizon. Chase did not know this. Rather than understanding the problem, they needlessly replaced wireless equipment and overcharged. If you are not a tech savvy person please beware. What a trooper! Chase came by on Super Bowl Sunday to get my house & studio buildings all wi-fied up. And he did a great job. Chase even dealt with the a*sses at Verizon "tech support" for an hour. And after those phone calls it was apparent he knew more than ANY of them and resolved the issue himself. Thank goodness for Chase and tech related! My Macbook Pro stopped working and I freaked out, I depend on my computer for a LOT of things. I took it to Apple and they wanted to charge me an arm and a leg to get most of the "water" damage fixed. I had a feeling that I needed to look elsewhere, and I am so glad that I did! I found Tech Related on yelp and am so happy that I did. I spoke with Chase, who is super nice and was extremely helpful. The team was able to completely fix my laptop in about a week (not so long considering they had a large work load) and it even cost LESS than apple and they fixed MORE than apple would. Honestly, I would much rather support a company like Tech Support than Apple any day. These are honest, hard working people, and even though Apple is also awesome, smaller businesses rock! My husband and I have FINALLY made the switch from our old PC's that continuously lockup, freeze, get viruses, etc. I called up Tech Related to help with not only ordering the new MacBook but walk us through some basic understanding of all the nice features that PC's never offered. They actually moved and backed up all of our data (we were kinda lazy with that) and showed us where it was now located on the MacBook. You could say I am a computer retard! I've contacted them a few times later when I had questions and they always made it SO simple to understand and never make me feel like a stupid girl. We are so incredibly happy we used Tech Related to make the move from PC to Apple. They are always quick with response and have very flexible hours when I tend to call for much needed help! I even called them this last weekend cause I wanted to organize and make slideshows with our pics that I've been meaning to do for quite some time. It only took us one afternoon with their help and I've got all my online photos ready for albums and slideshows!! We should have done it long ago! I was and still am extremely disappointed with this company. They came over to do an estimate and sold me on a wireless router which then did not work. I requested that you take back his router and I was not interested anymore in his services and once he took the router it's now been over two months and I still haven't been paid back for the wireless router he took back. Chase was amazing inseeting up my entire home entertainment center...and it was a lot. He encouraged me to consolidate the 20 remotes I had scattered about my home into one which was the Harmony remote. This remote is like a spaceship... it does everything including reducing my stress level from trying to figure out my old remotes! My system has never sounded better and adding in Apple TV, Pandora and Netflix was only a bonus to my Home Entertainment Collection. LAC, Los Angeles, CA In the Spring of 2013, I employed Echo Tech ( Chase Newell) to provide me with a home audio/visual system. I was in the midst of home renovation and upgrading my existing system was on the list of things to do. We had several meetings and developed a plan of action. The plan was to include purchase of a TV mount for a flat screen television, instillation of wiring needed to support the system, and eventually purchase and instillation of receiver, DVD recorder with Blu-Ray capacity, speakers, etc. A initial distribution of funds, $500, was given to Mr. Newell on May 10, 2013. The funds were to be used for the purchase and instillation of the needed electrical wiring and TV Mount. Completing these two tasks was a priority because I wouldn't be able to move forward with the other parts of the renovation project before the wiring and TV mount instillation was completed. Mr, Newell and his assistant were scheduled to come to the job site on June 10, 2013 to install the wiring and with the TV mount. Mr. Newell and his assistant didn't show up and I never received an explanation for this lapse. Three days later, I called Mr. Newell and asked him why he wasn't able to keep his scheduled appointment. He told me that he forgot and that he would like to reschedule. I told Mr Newell that I needed to work with contractors who are responsible and that our business relationship was now over. Also, I expected him to return to my account $400 of the $500 provided for initial costs. We'll, I never received any of the money that I provided to Chase Newell and Tech Related back. And I made several attempts to notify Chase Newell of this: -On August 2, 2013, I called and asked him to reimburse me for the monies owed. -On August 4, 2013 I sent a text message to the same telephone number again asking to be reimbursed for monies owed. -On August 16, 2013, I wrote a letter to the address provided for this company. This letter listed the chronology of events and my expectation that Mr. Newell have the courtesy to respond to my query and return monies owed. Several weeks later the post office returned this letter to my address with the following notation: "Return to Sender", "Insufficient Address", "Unable to Forward" read more

I have used yelp for a long time to find reliable companies for whatever I need, however I am so pleased with tech|related that I finally decided to sign up and leave a review. This is my favorite company of all time. All of my apple stuff was broken. I spilled soda on the keyboard of my macbook, which was an emergency. I called tech|related and Chase said he could come down to my house and grab it. He came in and worked on it for about 10 minutes and got it up and running. He took my computer and added RAM, updated my OS and fixed the cracked trackpad, as well as took my iPad to take off the cracked screen and replace it. I just got my stuff back today and the iPad looks brand new, while the computer now looks as good and runs as fast as the day I got it! Additionally, my computer was really dirty and beaten up and I'm pretty sure he cleaned it up so it looks nice and pretty again. Their prices were incredibly fair and reasonable and their work was really fast. On top of that, Chase gave great customer service. He called every step of the way to update me on what was going on. He's friendly, funny and professional. I really can't even tell you just how happy I am with tech|related and Chase. The whole thing was really painless and smooth. read more

Tech Related is an awesome company for many reasons. I first called them to help install My 48 Inch TV above my fire place in my apartment. There were two guys that were very friendly and very professional. One of the installers name was Caleb and he did an extra careful job making sure that the installation looked as clean as possible and that there were no holes or marks showing. Also it turned out that the wall behind my TV they had to put the wires through was extremely difficult and there were a lot of thick boards to cut through. But that was not a problem for them what so ever. They also did a very very good job at hiding all of my cables to all of my appliances with zip ties and making it look extra clean. After I was very satisfied with the T.V. installation they did I decided I would have them help me get my Mac Book pro the way I wanted it. They helped me get certain programs working correctly after I had experienced some trouble. They helped me partition the hard drive on my computer because I had never done it before, I wanted Lion and Snow Leapard so I could run certain programs. Needless to say they are always willing to go the extra step to ensure customer satisfaction. Whether its giving you a free HDMI cable or a free fire wire cable. Or if its as simple as helping you with a quick problem on your computer. I will always call tech related for any Installation and Mac problems. Thanks Guys!!! read more

Chase at TechRelated did a great job installing a new stereo system in our living room, which included brand new new in-ceiling speakers and a new integrated amplifier. We ran into some unanticipated difficulties with the wiring, but Chase went out of his way to make sure that the problem was solved and that the system installed as we had intended. I knew Chase would not rest until the system was installed and working perfectly. I would highly recommend him as he is a pleasure to work with and incredibly knowledgeable.
