Initially I thought the value of the service if you have their plan is pretty good. They repaired my water damaged MacBook for only $80 (technically 2 months of a $40 subscription to their insurance) when Apple likely would have charged me $300+. Although it now had physical malfunctions occurring that they never informed me, of I was still appreciative of the repair. After returning for what I thought would be good service is where the nightmare began. I brought in a pair of headphones since it's in their list of repairables yet immediately the guy turns me away. He says that they don't do work on AirPod Max's and to go to a different store. He wasn't willing to tell me which store to try or why they can't work on it; he seemed like he wanted me to leave so he could go back on his phone. Afterwards, I tried to get a free PC tune up. I scheduled an appointment and when I arrived instead of being treated properly the guy wanted to argue with me and try to explain to me that my appointment isn't showing up in his system while I'm showing him my confirmation messages. I understand technical difficulties but the guy was just being a weirdo. He snatched my phone out of my hand and then took it to the back multiple times. Eventually it popped up. If the guy could pick up on any social cues it could've went so much smoother. On the receipt is a pickup date, so I return 2 days after it. The laptop still isn't ready. It shouldn't take 7+ days to tune up a PC...The same guy from before helped me and he just blankly told me that they're still working on and it's not ready. They didn't even do a whole lot to the laptop I have no clue why it took them over 7 days to return it. It didn't even look like they wiped it down after using it nor did they remove their barcode sticker. Just terrible service I realized that after 1 positive experience, I got lucky and this place sucks. If you're looking for good customer service. If you enjoy helped at their convenience and lowkey screwed over this place is for you (ex. They will offer you a non-oem quality screen replacement for your iPhone.). Do NOT use ubreakifix or the assurian insurance. It is all a total waste of time, money and they will ruin your equipment. I brought in a 2022 mackbook pro, never opened, having screen issues. 3 weeks later, tech called and said some one had stripped out internal screws (level 1 tech dudes did that) level 2 tech could not repair initially, replaced screen and batt, said was completed and fixed. Shipped home and would not operate for 3 mins without force shutdown and over heating. (Never happened before) Took to apple who stated screen improperly replaced and ruined mother board. I scheduled an appointment to replace the screen on my iPhone 16 Pro Max and specifically asked two different employees whether the replacement screen was OEM. Both assured me that it was. When I asked the second employee how I could verify it was truly OEM, he responded with a generic explanation about "noticeable differences" and said their parts were Apple-approved replacements. At that point, it became clear that the screen was not OEM, and either the staff are not properly trained to explain the difference or they knowingly misled me. Had I known the screen wasn't an actual Apple OEM part, I would not have proceeded with the replacement. Rude customer service. Work with zero sense of urgency. Brought in an iPhone to have battery replaced (Asurion insurance case - who they are sponsored by and have on their t shirts). They replaced the battery after 2 hours, then told me that the insurance company was closed since it was Saturday and couldn't file a ticket with them, so they had to put my old battery back in which took another 30 minutes and give it back to me. The guy in the front blamed "my" insurance (which is their company/ sponsor) and was rude about it. I called asurion on my way home and they were open and answered the phone. I can see why most of these locations around the city have closed. Service? What service. They accepted my phone for repair on a Thursday and stated it would be ready in 4 hours. No word from them by close of business on Thursday. So by Saturday I sent an email asking for the status. I checked my email and notice an email with details about my phone from Samsung saying it was submitted for repair. So then I questioned did they send it to Samsung for repair because it wasn't an Asurion ticket number. Status on Samsung.com stated in process. So I finally attempted to reach them by phone. I was bounced 6 times to different Asurion agents before finding one smart enough to understand that I needed to speak to someone at the store. When the person at the store checked the status he stated it could not be repaired because the touch screen did not work. When I dropped my phone off it had a small crack in the corner and was working as is. When I asked to speak to the tech he said they attempted to install 2 screens and they did not work. Mysteriously my phone was returned in the exact condition i dropped it off in and is working. What I find suspicious is that if my phone's screen had been removed there would be pieces of glass missing or the glass would just crack apart. This is what it looks like. What do you think? Zero stars for this place's customer service. The customer ahead of me was clearly difficult and got aggressive because he had an infestation in his Xbox and refused to leave. He made racist and derogatory remarks to the employee and it continued to escalate. I finally chimed in and said he can't say that, and asked him to leave. He still refuse to, and yet the employees continue to placate him so much so that one of the employees followed him and continued to talk to him. I asked the other employee who I believe was the manager why he continued to stay outside with him instead of service customers and he said "we're afraid of a bad review." I said when someone starts to curse and make remarks like this, you call the cops." Clearly, the employees need training on de-escalation and when to be more firm with someone who's aggressive. I walked out without being serviced because I felt unsafe and when I was walking out, I got blocked going to my car because the same guy was blocking my way . ubreakifix did a great job replacing my cracked iPhone screen. Phone was ready in about an hour. Fortunately I have an Assurion insurance policy through AT&T so it only cost $50 which will be billed on my next AT&T bill. The plaza it's located in seems to be valet during weekends and at nights so it might cost a few dollars to park unless you go during the day on a weekday. read more

I brought my laptop here only for a key replacement and diagnostic. It was fully working and charging before. They kept it for over a month, gave no diagnostic report, and returned it with new problems. Lenovo later confirmed that this shop performed unauthorized internal soldering which voided my manufacturer warranty. The service first denied doing any internal work, then claimed "your son gave permission" - which is illegal and unprofessional. Now my device is damaged and the warranty is lost. I liked this company in the beginning and after that everything went to crap. I brought in my two laptops to get a data transfer done. I dropped them off the day before with the tech telling me I could pick up my laptops at 6:30 pm the next day. I was ok with that, I went to pick up my laptops at 6pm and was told they havent even started on my laptops. I am becoming more aggravated and asked why they didnt even call me about what was going on. I was told that they have large contracts with cell phone companies, and their business comes first before all other repairs. Walked in with my new Logitech backlight keyboard to get it cleaned. I spilled red wine all over it last week, and the backlight got a little messed up. The gentleman cleaned it thoroughly for about 10mins. Unfortunately the backlight didn't improve, and he didn't want to charge me. Terrible service :( I requested a battery change for my phone Mario quoted me $105 if they do it fix/ order the part etc etc.. or $50 if i purchase the part elsewhere and just have them change it So i did that and oredered the part and returned just to have it fitted. Red flag #1 they tested the quoted price, acting as if they didnt know who mario there member of staff was.. and begrudgingly honored the price.. but said in future it would be $80 I left the phone to have the battery replaced.. when returned the following day to pick up they charged me $50.. again saying in future it would be $80.. and i left with my working phone.. Or so i thought. Minutes after leaving the store i realized the power button wasnt working.. which means i cant turn the phone off or on and cant take screengrabs A HUGE PROBLEM... so i went straight back... Red flag #2 they said it may have been to do with the battery being changed.. (which it had been working perfectly before taking their store... ) they then offered to take a look as they may have forgotten to have connected it. Mobile phone repair 101 they would check the on and off button when they have fixed/ repaired your phone.. not wait until the customer leaves then act as if they didnt know....:( Red flag #3 i returned an hour later... my phones on/off button was even more damaged.. and they said they couldnt fix it... but they could do it, if i left it in again overnight and pay more....?! I felt like it was a complete scam... The fact that my phone was more damaged after having it 'fixed' at this store. These 3rd party stores don't help you unless you have insurance. If you have a warranty (1 year warranty) they give you bs excuse that it is physical damage and cannot repair even though it is just a ink blot. Ridiculous and waste of time. Don't bother with these arbitrary guidelines/ stores. I'm honestly disappointed at these money hungry businesses. I provided image below. My screen and everything works fine no cracks no further damage just ink spot. Why they couldn't fix this I don't understand and gave me ridiculous prices for out of pocket fixes.  I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the level of customer service provided by these sub-companies and the implementation of what I perceive to be unfair assessment of the guidelines in the 1-year warranty. First and foremost, despite numerous attempts to seek assistance, I have encountered significant difficulties in obtaining adequate support from your customer service team. The lack of efficiency and willingness to assist in addressing inquiries and resolving issues has been profoundly disappointing and reflects poorly on your company's commitment to customer satisfaction.   To note: I visited 3 different Samsung customer service stores (Samsung Experience store located in the Americana, 10932 Magnolia Blvd Los Angeles, CA location (ubreakifix store), and 555 Western Ave store (ubreakifx store). All of which denied assistance due to the fact they were unfairly making conclusions about my cell phone issue and blamed it on the warranty factors listed. They also advised to visit other stores which may be lenient on these conditions, but it is just a way to get the customer out of their store (as you can see, I visited 3 different stores on different dates and they referred me back to Samsung Experience store but they are no help and referred me back to other Samsung locations. Just RIDICULOUS!) If there is leniency option, why was it not offered to all customers? They advised me that the Samsung Company will charge them of the matter if they were to help me. The reasons they provided, not only do not make sense but are unreasonable and unjust. These staff analyze the warranty in accordance to their benefit and leaves it up to the assessment of individuals who are in fact unfairly making arbitrary judgements. If you refer to the images provided, they denied me assistance since there is a slight indentation on the outer black lining of the phone (top right), but my issue was the ink spot on the fold portion (left side fold portion) of the phone which has nothing to do with the indentation on the top right of my phone. My phone, my screen, everything works there are no cracks whatsoever; therefore, these conclusions are just absurd.  Let's see if you receive the same help you offered me how you would feel? read more

Not sure if it was bad luck or what, but this time when my phone fell, it just had to fall in the worst place possible and the hinge on my Samsung Flip 4 broke! (Samsung will cover the charges and this company accepts it and nothing from my pocket!! wooohooo!! Fantastic repair shop that can fit any of your repair needs. I came here to fix my PC a few weeks ago and they had it diagnosed repaired in less than 2 weeks during the holiday! The customer service is exceptional. They called me a few times along the way to update me of their diagnosis and progress. Great service at uBreakiFix in Koreatown! Finding this location: My husband's Samsung S21 screen suddenly stopped working, thankfully it was within warranty. However, we tried to find places that could take it, and T-Mobile or other Samsung branded shops had waitlists weeks long, and other uBreakiFix locations throughout Los Angeles were missing one part or another (note: the color of the phone matters for screen replacement), until we found this location. Calling ahead: The person who picked up the phone was professional, friendly, and straightforward, asking the precise questions to help pinpoint what issue we might be having. Samsung S21, screen is broken, seems to reset OK but no response, "is the screen broken?" "just black, no cracks", "what color is the phone?", "white", "Can you make it here by 5?" "Yes!" Service: We dropped off our phone later than expected, closer to 5:35pm so due to the timing they would be able to fix by the next day, which was totally understandable. Service counter was neatly arranged with arrows on the floor for COVID social distancing, waiting seats were provided, and the gentleman we spoke to was polite and diagnosed the issue swiftly. We received a text the next day, promptly and ahead of schedule, notifying us that the phone was ready for pickup and that we could come by during business hours 10:00-19:00; perfect! It was good that we could text in response to confirm. Parking and pickup: There is a parking lot for this location, uBreakiFix is on the second floor of its plaza, but shares the parking lot with a restaurant which in the evenings requires a valet, so parking is tight if you're visiting during prime mealtime hours. You can always explain to the valet folks that you're just here to pick up and they've been understanding! Great experience here, would definitely bring our phones here in the future. read more

This was my second time here and first time they got my samsung screen fixed in just few hours, and this second time which was more complex issue, they communicated with me throughout the process openly and honestly. They really care about customers and their jobs to be able to fix customers problems and the level of service I received was something I haven't seen in a long time in places like LA. I know I wouldn't have gotten that from elsewhere. The only thing I wish was better is parking. It shares parking lot with restaurants and even during day time have to deal with the valet.
