I saw Daniel and his company, TruBlue of Allen, got great reviews everywhere I looked so I reached out. He agreed to meet me the next day and came and always had a smile on his face and a "can-do" attitude. He showed confidence and I could tell he has done this many times. We agreed on his very reasonable estimate and the project began! I wanted to completely remove our existing shower and tub and make the tub are our new shower and the previous shower would become a an area for storage. He showed up to help me get tile and we got a great mix of tiles for our bathroom and we couldn't be happier! Fernando helped with all the tiling and a separate group of guys helped with the finishings and drywalls. Daniel's plumber is fantastic and you can tell that all these workers pay attention to detail and have worked in nice homes and do great work. This was so different than my previous experience which was mediocre. As the project finished, we were just so happy and I don't think you could get a better result in the very reasonable price range that Daniel offers. Nothing but great things to say about our experience. As with all things, stay in communication and make sure you are talking to the day-to-day workers as well as Daniel. From the very beginning they rush you, make you sign something to only work with them (sketchy, red flag) and then they do mediocre work. They're going to take advantage of you and your home when you're in an emergency type situation. As immoral as they come. They messed up my bathroom tile, then made me feel bad when I asked them to do it right. As if I was asking too much when they didn't do it right in the first place? They also installed a random circular silver drain in the shower, when I asked for and ordered a square gold drain. Hello? The owner, Michael, simply chalked it up to "hiring workers that don't speak English." If that doesn't tell you all you need to know... The attention to detail and doing a decent, not even good, job is just not there. They didn't finish caulking behind the toilet or on top of the counter. They scratched the paint off of 3 doors, and refused to compensate or correct. They got dirt all over the walls and even got paint on my front door and hallway tile. They littered cigarette butts and a giant sponge (???) in my front yard. They left an entire garbage can of trash in my front yard. They even messed up my garage door, when that is an area of the house they were NOT authorized to do ANY work in. Who knows where else they were messing around while I wasn't home? When I asked them to remove the master toilet, I specifically and repeatedly asked them to cover the hole in the ground. When I arrived home two days later, I walked in to find the sewage hole completely gaping open, releasing toxic sewage fumes into my home and bedroom. Unbelievably thoughtless, careless, and downright hazardous/dangerous. They started trying to charge us hundreds of dollars at the end for things we already discussed, and then when we tried to talk to the owner, he basically said he'd just hand us over to his lawyer. He knows he is taking advantage of us, so he didn't want to discuss the money details with us. You can see in the attached videos/photos that they also threaten to take legal action against us, should we post an honest review. They don't have any basis to do so, but just want to scare customers into silence. That's why they don't have any other bad reviews on here. It's too late for me, but please, save yourself. Find another company.

He set up an appt. within days, arrived on time, listened to my project. Tuesday reviewed project (it's a small job but to us it's major undertaking). I figured it would take weeks (big box said). The installation of counters (in a world of uneven things) - I don't know where to begin - care was taken to demo, and install new counters and you cannot tell there was work done. I asked them to remove several sick shrubs, design and install new shrubbery and an irrigation system, and put down new sod on most of my yard. They kept me informed about scheduling and worked quickly. All of their employees were professional, friendly, and eager to please. There work was great. Greg lives by the principle of overpromise and underdeliver, which is the opposite of the customer…read moreservice provided by most businesses. When we first met him he promised his main guy (Carlos) would be the one doing the project but in actuality he has Carlos's son and daughter (both untrained, don't speak English and clearly still learning how to do basic contracting work such as tile work and painting) do 90-95% of the work in an unsupervised fashion. Greg or Carlos did not oversee or check the work each day thus we were left with a poor paint job (no tape was placed on baseboards or crown molding around doors such that there are splotches of gray paint on our white crown molding), uneven laying of tile (you can clearly see that in the pics posted), a trim that Greg chose on his own without asking what we wanted because he was too impatient, holes in our bedroom and bathroom walls that were not repaired, huge gaps behind the trim around the shower and areas that weren't retextured, a lack of waterproofing of the shower which many well respected contractors consider industry standard to prevent water leaking into walls and foundation, and just a poor job aesthetically overall. Greg had the audacity to charge me over $10,000 for work that will need to be redone including $3500 which I paid for custom cabinets that he cancelled and is now keeping the money for himself. If you read his other Yelp reviews you can clearly see that Greg has a pattern of losing his temper, not having good communication and of overcharging for shoddy work that is unsupervised and performed by low cost laborers who are not well trained and only speak Spanish. You will find that the issues in many of his reviews are the same. Greg's mood would vacillate from day to day and from hour to hour. He chewed out the gentleman helping us out at the tile shop on several occasions. My fiancé also observed him yelling at his own workers at the top of his lungs when they mistakenly tried to get something out of his truck meant for another job. He also did not confirm our tile order as he promised he would do thus leaving us without grout and trim which he then purchased himself without consulting us thus choosing trim which did not match anything in our bathroom. He actually charged us a $550 design fee though we did all the design ourselves. He did not offer any advice or expertise in the area of design whatsoever. Because Greg himself doesn't speak Spanish (but his laborers only speak Spanish) many things had to be redone though we had clearly told him what we wanted. He then charged us for these "redos" because of his own inability to communicate with his workers. His workers had to re-paint and re-patch several times even though things were clearly communicated to Greg initially by my fiancé. His predictable response whenever he forgets things is to blame the customer and say that he was never told. We detailed the issues we had with the work performed and even had Greg sign a sheet but Greg did not choose to rectify them and instead chose to abandon the job. He later told me he signed the sheet with a fake signature so that he could plausibly deny having promised anything. Greg only cares about getting paid on the back of labor performed by others while doing a sub par job. His lack of integrity is apparent the longer you work with him because you will catch him in lies and inconsistencies and the version of Greg that you will get once he has money in his hands is very different than the version you get in the beginning. Greg is a con artist. He does not have any expertise in the work he has others perform. He also does not like to admit when he's made a mistake and gets defensive and blames others (the customer, his workers etc). Where there is so much smoke, there has to be fire. Greg is so predictable that he will invariably have a defensive response to this review as he did to all of his other poor reviews. Many of the attached pics speak for themselves.

Then, when I went back and asked for a new estimate - they literally just shot a number back. When I asked for a breakdown, they ignored me. Poor communication, and intentionally overcharging.
