I absolutely love pai! I have gone 4 times now to get a full brazilian wax, and everyone on here that said it doesn't hurt, LIED! Pai did do a good job though, she is so easy to talk to; it almost feels like a therapy session every time I go in to see her. You do have to email them saying you want to make an appointment, i've never had a problem getting in touch with them. The first time did hurt, but each time I have gone after that has been better on pain levels. I will never step foot in a European wax center ever again. Ted D Bare is the best place, and they have plenty of parking, plus 45 for a full Brazilian, can it get any better. They are cash only I believe, and they do not accept tips. I've never had an appointment with Jane but from what I have heard she is very good also. I am so glad I found this place on Yelp! I'm always going to get waxed with Pai from now on. Pai just gets straight to it, which Is great because you aren't given time to think about the pain. Plus, I love how I can chat with her while waxing because it helps keep your mind away from the pain/the time goes by quicker. I don't know what was done differently, but when I've gotten waxed, I always need to go back in four weeks. When I got waxed with Pai Hair didn't grow back as fast is it usually does. This review is LONG overdue, as I've been seeing Jane for years now, since she had her one room studio at the hair salon! Now I typically see Pai, and I must say both of these ladies are amazing! Last year I moved to Hollister and I still only see Jane & Pai! I will never switch to a different place, I am dedicated to these ladies that work FAST magic, they're worth the over hour drive! I won't drop names, but I have been to other waxing places, and they could never even come close to being as amazing as these ladies. Let's be honest, no one likes getting waxed, especially down there, but these ladies make it quick (in and out in like 10-15 minutes and only 15 because we're chatting) and somehow less painful (I didn't say no pain because that would be a miracle, but it's a lot damn less). Ted D Bare by far the best place I have been too. I've previously gone to three other locations and always experienced SO MUCH pain. So after reading so many reviews here on yelp i decided to try this place out. I have been hunting for a great place and by far the least painful was Ted D Bare. I mean waxing is painful no one can say it's not, but Pai just made it the least painful as possible! She's very nice makes you feel very comfortable as soon as you meet her! There's certain things they do to help the pain be less, the conversation, the technique, and just the comfort. After searching for so many locations I have finally found my spot! Will definitely be coming here from now on! And of course the prices are very very fair! I definitely wanted to tip her but They don't accept tip either! Just a great great place overall!!! So Pain Jane is amazing. She was the one delivering the pain, and I wish I could give her more than 5 stars! I have never been in an out of a place in less than 10 minutes, unless it was to change my mind, but she had me in and out and back in my car by 1:10 and my appointment was at 1. Couldn't believe it. And also, at my old place, when I would leave and be carrying on about my day, I would find painful wax remnants hanging on for dear life which feel like the entire session all over again, and she somehow managed to avert that as well. This must be magic! I am so sold, and rebooking immediately. Plus the price is less? Which is so weird because it's better service in less time? And then I don't have to budget tips as well? She of all people deserves it, but man, I'm shaving $20 off my monthly budget and adding 50 minutes back to my day, AND she knows the difference between Star Trek and Star Wars? The absolute best waxing experience I've ever had in my life. Walking in, one notices the hip, modern interior design that's both clean and stylish. For my Brazilian, Jane got to work without further ado, informing me that she would complete the whole process within 6 minutes. She encouraged me to curse or even despise her. Her only rules were that screaming was not allowed, and she would absolutely not stop. She warned me that it would be incredibly painful, and, I can assure you, that was nothing short of an understatement. However, she talked me through the procedure with her dry humor and wit, and after six, long, painful minutes, it was all over. The following day, there was no bruising whatsoever, which has happened to me in the past after an experienced at a different salon. There was very minimal bleeding, and almost everything was completely waxed off (I have thick, unruly hair, and I had also trimmed within the past 6 weeks, which is something they recommend to abstain from). My hair did not grow back for another two weeks, which is an absolute miracle for me. I will be frequenting this salon this summer without a doubt! read more

My session with Pai was amazing!! I came in so nervous as I hadn't waxed in about a year or two but she distracted me with conversation and she's soo quick! I didn't even have time to be nervous. I won't say it was painless, but it was bearable and she laughed at my profanities. It was also nice that they had a tv in the room, which was another good distraction. My first time coming to Ted D bare for a Brazilian. I was a regular for another place in Palo alto but I had to find another place since I heard my favorite esthetician quit. Jane is friendly and straight to the point. I arrived at least 5 mins before my appointment, (If its your first time coming here arrive at least 10 to find the place and parking) the process took about 15 mins. Jane was very quick, she makes you feel comfortable but again shes straight to the point. There was no need to feel awkward or shy around her. Shes a professional. Pricing definitely worth the pain, a lot of places are more expensive. Was it painless? Everybody's pain tolerance is different. For me of course it hurt, I'm sensitive down there especially when she needs to use the tweezers. I just deal with it at the time and after the wax I applied a small amount of lidocaine cream. If you have eyebrows (or even if you don't :) you need to see Nicole! She does the best eyebrow waxing: using Anastasia's products to shape your brows, fill them in, and make them look amazing. She helped me to grow out my brows and I go in about every 6 weeks to reshape. Since I've been seeing her I've gotten random complements from strangers wondering how I have such "perfect" brows. I really didn't realize what a difference good brows make - it changes the whole look of your face! I just got my first Brazilian wax ever and i was so scared. They are very honest with you about the pain and the truth is that it hurts. It hurts a lot. But Pai was so quick that it was over very soon. She also kept a conversation going with me that kept me distracted and made the pain bearable. They are super nice and super real. I'm the type of girl that swore by hard wax. I was skeptical to come here because I heard that they use strip wax. However, after reading the good reviews I decided to give it a try. My skin is extremely sensitive and eczema prone. However, I do have a pretty high tolerance for pain. I had my appointment with Jane and let me just say she is hilarious.
