I brought in my Prada sneakers for a light cleaning -- they were only two months old and had a few minor scuff marks. Because of their value ($1,200), I wanted to ensure they were professionally cared for. Sadly, that decision completely ruined my shoes. When I picked them up, the leather was stiff and plastic-like, completely losing the soft, high-quality feel that made them special. The owner admitted that he did not know that was going to happen and tried convincing me that the shoes would loosen up. But loosening up will not bring back the quality that was destroyed. To give an idea of how bad it is -- if I tap on the shoe, it actually makes a hard knocking sound, like plastic. And if you're familiar with Prada, you know their leather is buttery soft. The shoes have also shrunk so much that I can't even wear them anymore. When I tried to discuss a resolution, the only offer was a $150 store credit "because I was a nice lady." That's hardly acceptable for such a costly and disappointing outcome. I will never return to this business and strongly advise anyone with luxury or designer shoes to avoid this place entirely.

When I told the employee you only fixed part of the sole, he said my colleague told me only this part. I will not be returning and if you go please make sure to get details about what exactly they are fixing. When I spoke to the lady I told her to have the sole fixed.

My boots (pictured) had an incredibly worn down heel and sole that was peeling at the edges. I was assured they could fix it and was offered a flexible pickup date and time depending on my needs. We talked through new sole options and what I specifically wanted. I walked about feeling optimistic about the outcome, only to have my expectations exceeded upon pickup. The heel and sole may actually be of better quality than how I purchased them and the newly oiled leather make the pair look brand new. This location is nowhere near where I live, but if I need to repair any more shows, I'll make the trek out here again.

I tried to pick them up today and upon inspection, he had gotten black dye on $850 camel colored boots. They do not look like they are coming out. I am a very upset that these shoes are now ruined. I am expecting Alex to remedy this situation by paying for the shoes, or paying a different cobbler to remedy the situation. I expect this shop to take this experience as a learning lesson to not rush their shoe jobs and also to communicate.
