This place just isn't good. I feel like I go here when I feel sorry for myself. The pizza is just regular pizza dough seems like it was premade or frozen and the cheese is just too much. The Italian grinder consisted of various meats that should have just been called bologna, sliced way too thick. When I got home at had to add more vinegar to it. Also no onions which I find weird for an Italian grinder combo. I guess I could've asked. I moved closed by I'll be back, but just cause it's convenient. After trying to eat somewhere on the beach it was a disaster but I had this gem saved on here just encase. So we came right on over since we wanted to eat dinner tonight. Pizza was actually really good. Our son had fun eating here or I should say being here. Outside, divey kind of place, he could dance, play and bother no one lol. To bad he doesn't eat pizza and he's picky with his pasta so he didn't eat much but he had fun. You order from a window and get your food, simple. We're from Long Island so us liking pizza here is a huge compliment. I'd definitely recommend this place. read more

I Grew up in old Lyme eating, and hanging with my friends at the Pizza Palace. Teddy and his family were always very friendly to us local kids. They would let us chill there for hours on the cold winter days/evenings. Many times it would be 2-4 kids on a single large order of fries, and always using way more ketchup than should be consumed in one sitting. Wings are soooo good! We love crispy, not wet wings and these were perfectly cooked! Pizza has a nice crisp (not droopy) crust and tasted amazing! Everyone who ordered a grinder said they were good as well-they ordered Meatball, Italian & Eggplant-Ordering is quick and easy on the app. It's all take out -which is fine. I tried teddys for the first time today. The pizza is solid greek pizza, but really small for a large. I thought they gave me the wrong order when i picked it up. The small salad was pretty small and basic, but they did have good creamy Italian. It's a shame the portion sizes aren't bigger. You would need 2 large pizzas to feed a family of 4 and probably have very little leftovers if any. It's also in a very tun down area, so many other businesses around it are shut down or dingy looking. read more

Stopped in for an impromptu dinner on the road. Interior is super cute. Warm, diner-like atmosphere decorated with flags from European soccer teams. Staff was very friendly and there seemed to be a lot of regulars there. The food was ok. Meatballs were pretty basic. Not anything special. Roast beef salad was pretty disappointing. Am I insane to be surprised when white iceberg lettuce forms the basis of a salad? It was also unexpectedly covered in cheese. Fries were decent but your standard frozen crinkle cuts. My husband got the 12" pepper steak grinder which he said was delicious and positively stuffed with meat. You can definitely do better for the money. read more

It isn't the fact that I live probably less than a mile from here that I gave it 5 stars. Nope, that's not it at all! Honestly? One of the best pizzas I've had since I moved from Chicago to the East (sadly no positive pizza experiences in Pennsylvania yet). Two things that make this pizza great: the cheese and the crust. The cheese: gooey, stretchy and just salty enough. Everything you expect from cheese on a pizza. The crust: definitely on the crunchy side, with a nice yeasty, bready flavor. Not too thick and not too thin. (If you like soft, doughy pizzas, this one is not for you.) The menu overall is pretty straightfoward: pizza, grinders and pasta. Grinders are pretty good too, but don't get the large unless you are sharing or HUNGRY. The interior is nothing fancy - there's an old school counter and stool set-up, booths and tables, and it all feels a little like a diner/dive. There is beer on tap - looked like 3 or 4 - and several bottles to choose from, some mainstream, some microbrew. The quality of the food was unexpected given how inexpensive it was. About $10 for a small pizza, which would have been enough to feed two adults (unless you're both really hungry, then split the grinder). read more

Just stopped in on the way through for pizza to take home. Our first time here. The staff were very friendly and the place looked clean from what I could see in the short time I was there. We paid about $27 for a 3 topping large pizza and one topping small which seems to be about average price. Pizza was okay. It wasn't my favorite but it wasn't bad either. I just thought it could use a little more flavor and I didn't care for the crust at all. It was nice and cheesy for the most part but needed some more around the edges as it was mostly sauce by the crust. The didn't skimp on the toppings which is always a plus. I would go there again if I was driving through but wouldn't go out of my way. read more

Rich with herbs and seasoning, so unique! Ask to have the dressing pre mixed, delicious! You can add on Teddy's famous grilled chicken for extra protein. I had a meatball grinder (which I learned is pretty much a sub) and my boyfriend had a loaded salad with like ham, mozzerella, tomato, etc. My bread was very fresh and our service was good. I've been coming to Teddy's for about 18 years. My grandfather used to take my cousins and I here for lunch in the summers to enjoy some great food and even better atmosphere.
