Last night, 03/09/2026, we tried Pizza Palace and we were extraordinarily pleased. The pizza was deliciously prepared with quality ingredients. The order of ziti was was bombarded with cheese and the portion size was ENORMOUS! Our table of three shared a bottle of Pinot Grigio to wash it down. Alex was our lovely server. She was personable, friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu. She worked very hard to please us, while she served others and bussed her own tables. I was 45 minutes from home, in Old Saybrook, when I realized the restaurant I was planning to visit was closed for Labor Day. I vaguely remembered that there may have been a CT Visit Pizza Trail Top 20 votegetter based in Old Saybrook. I Googled the Trail, and sure enough, Pizza Palace was number 16. I was there about 5 minutes later. PP serves Greek style pizza, but also has seafood, grinders, apps, etc. They have nice inside and outside seating. Service was very good. I ordered a small Scallop and Bacon pizza. My server asked if I wanted it red or white, and I thought it would be interesting to go half and half. The crust was well executed Greek Style. The bacon was good and crispy without being overcooked. The bay scallops were cooked through and perfectly tender. The cheese was well melted and tasty. The white sauce half seemed to have a Bechamel. It wasn't too assertive and complemented the other flavors well. The red sauce half was also very subtle. Pizza Palace definitely makes one of the better CT Greek style pizzas I've had. I really had a lovely experience and I can see why PP is so popular. 4.5 Stars read more

A cozy restaurant in Old Saybrook. We love the food and the service. Portions are generous and prices are very good.

We've driven by this place many times and it always seems busy. Being part of the pizza tour, we stopped to try it. Its small but bright with outdoor seating. The staff is very welcoming. We ordered 2 small pizzas and my husband got a beer. Prices are nice! We tried the pepperoni pizza and the loaded potato pizza. These are pan baked pizzas with a thicker crust, not a new haven style pizza. We were disappointed with that. Putting that aside, the pizzas were delicious. There were hot and cheesey and tasty. The pepperoni was delicious. The loaded potato was akin to loaded cheese fries on a pizza. Not bad, only different. Im glad we stopped here. We did leave satisfied. Just don't expect a New Haven style thin crust pizza and you'll enjoy you meal! read more

I was not expecting this to be so good! We were looking for somewhere still open late and showed up 10 minutes before they closed. Who would have ever guessed that a Pizza restaurant would have the best whole belly clam dinner we have ever had in our entire lives. Went to Harvey Beach today and the man at the gate suggested this place when we asked for great seafood. I cannot compliment this place enough. The clams literally melted in your mouth. We also ordered the fried Cod dinner which was also delicious. The server, Alex was so friendly and so knowledgeable. Just very pleasant. We had the best experience. This is a family-owned restaurant that does excellent dining and take-out. They are kind and loving people who take care of the Old Saybrook community through sun or storm, and thick and thin. Mirsina's butternut squash soup is literally getting me through a major surgery this week. Their chicken parmigiana dinner is excellent, and their Greek-style pizza is a go-to for us, try the Harvest Pizza for a new white pizza option. My wife and I decided to check out the recent buzz we have been hearing about this place. We went for an early dinner and I had the whole belly clam roll with fries and a side of coleslaw. My wife had the fried shrimp platter. Both dishes were excellent! There were so many clams piled on top of my roll that I had to actually take a pile of remaining whole bellies home with me. My wife's shrimp was fried perfectly and was very crispy and fresh tasting. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. As a New Haven resident I am finicky about my pizza! On every block in New Haven is great Italian Pizza. BUT not many Greek spots and this place blows them out of the water! I hate my pizza charred on the bottom. That burnt taste in my mouth NO! But Steve and his family have figured it out! This place looks tiny from the outside but roomy inside. Proprietors seem to be family and very friendly. I'm fussy about bread and pizza and I found this pizza to be quite tasty with a firm crust where nothing falls off when you pick it up. The salad and Greek dressing was very fresh. This is a little stretch from us but if we order ahead it's just close enough for the food to be ready when we get there. After 3 trips we have made this place our go-to. read more

Nice place, it was a bit slow though. I got a California chicken sandwich and made it into a platter. I absolutely love their onion rings, they're thin and the onion part doesn't slide out of the crust. You get a TON of fries and onion rings when you make it into a platter. It's great.
