The people's champ! Did orders take long when they were a pop up? Yes! Were there times when I showed up after a long drive and they were out of burgers? Yes! Were these issues disappointing? Hell yes! But, what do you/I expect? These folks were handling massive crowds out of a tent and a griddle. Even so, no doubt they had one of, if not the, best burgers in town. Well, these issues have for the most part gone away. Now that they have a brick and mortar, waits are typically not that long, and they almost always have every item on the menu. I'm not gonna lie, I stopped showing up to the pop up because it was just too much of a gamble with the wait and potential inventory shortage. So glad I gave the new location a try. The prior disappointments are no longer a thing. The burger is simply the best smash in town - hands down! This is coming from a burger family that has tried almost every burger miami has to offer. Cute little burger spot in Wynwood. IT has been on my list forever since they had a pop up at the brewery. I knew I had to come experditiously once their brick and mortar. The line moved very quickly, we came on a sunday. Most of the tables were filled but people moved in and out quickly. The man who took our order was friendly. I had the single OG burger. It was very tasty especially with the fried onions. However, they arent lying when they say its a smash burger. It is literally as thin as a parmesan crisp! My go-to is the American classic: a perfectly smashed beef patty with melty American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles, and diced onions on a soft Martin's potato roll. Simple burger perfection! I also love the OKC (Oklahoma Fried Onion Burger). It's made with a smash beef patty, American cheese, sweet caramelized onions, and their signature "T" sauce, on a Martin's potato roll. Thanks to Mr.Eats305 we decided to stop by J Wakefield Brewing today to try Ted's Burgers. They open at 3 and we got here a little before that to find a line already forming. By the time they got the grill on and orders started going in it was almost 4. The line was pretty long behind us by then so I do recommend getting there early and be prepared to stand in line. These are smashed burgers, and you can get a single or double burger (I recommend a double). They're very simple but pack a punch of flavor. The burgers are great, the chips are great, drink options are great, the line is not great. Shout out to Ted's Burgers ig page for letting us know a line was eminent so we got there early and expected to wait. I had the double okc burger which was the sweet onion burger option, which came topped American cheese and their special "t" sauce and it was delicious! My bf had both an okc and the amc which was a more traditionally topped burger with diced raw onions, and it came with American cheese and ketchup. He enjoyed both but liked the AMC a little more if he had to choose. All in all, if you like a good burger, this pop up is definitely worth checking out. I finally had the opportunity to try Ted's Burgers. They recently had a pop-up on Bird Road in Miami. The burger might be one of the best I've had locally. It was truly delicious. Looking forward when they get their official home up and running which I heard may be in Wynwood. My only criticisms: 1. Wait time was a little over an hour but I understand it's a pop up so I expected to wait and talk with friends. However this could bother many people. I saw a few frustrated patrons. 2. I saw people getting food before me that came way after I did. I thought that was a little weird 3. Use a local bakery for buns, Martins potato rolls are not good, bread should not have so many ingredients. Stay organic with bread, buns. I'm picky about that tho. Give customers good ingredients. It's important. Martins ain't it. Just read their ingredients next time you go to the supermarket. Other than that the burgers were very good! Cheers read more

Wowww. It really is the most delicious smash burger out there! We waited around 45 burgers - 20 minutes to get ours but it really truly was worth the wait. But while you wait, the Wakefield brewery is right there and you can grab a beer and drink it right outside. Perfect combo. They have two options, the OKC burger or the American burger. Single patty is $10 and double is $15. I'd probably recommend the double since the potato roll that the burger is on, is very thick. If you get a single patty, it feels like you're eating potato roll with a side of burger. I ended up trying both burgers and I'd say the American burger is just so much more flavorful and better. Not sure if it's the added ketchup, mustard, pickles, etc. But it's full of flavor, well cooked, and served perfectly! I can't wait to come back and have this again!
