Teds is a small cute old diner that has been around for decades, it has not changed through out the years, which is chronicled on the pictures on the wall. They have a few servers that are always working and the food is pretty decent for a place that has not changed much in the last 30 years. The building is located on a comer and is pretty cool from the inside. It is like a diner from a retro old timey movie. I have tried the breakfast, and also the party melt burger which I actually enjoyed. The food isn't exactly five star stuff however for the price it is not bad. This movie has been featured in a John Travolta movie back in the day, I want to say pulp fiction, there are pictures with him eating in the wall. Which gives this this little diners charm. I would suggest giving this place a chance at least once and you be the judge. read more

I LOVE TED'S, I was on vacation from Pittsburgh PA in Lago/Clearwater area. Friend in the area turned me on to Ted's. We ate there 4 or 5 times that week. The food was always fresh and good. Almost average spot that we've wanted to try for a long time while enjoying amazing pizza at untouchables across the street. On the positive side, seating was quick since it was seat your self. Pricing was fair enough for breakfast food. Took an hour before food came out after ordering. A little longer than it should take for breakfast (by about 40 minutes). Coffee is very weak and thin. Cheese grits are instant grits with a cheese slice on them. Toast was toast. Whoever the cook was must love onions. There was an excessive amount in all the omelettes. On the plus side, the eggs were cooked properly. Service wise they have a bunch of people passing by. Some were happy to refill others looked like we were bothering them with questions. Inside is very... old. It's clean but very dated and not in the cute diner way. If the food and service was better, it would have been easy to overlook. We won't come back based off our experience here. Too many other places out there that are average or better. read more

Did brunch today about 1045, walk in and sit anywhere and get a welcome Good Morning from one of the young waitresses. Another one comes to my table immediately and asks what to drink and if I needed a minute. Menus are folded at the side of every table, along with a kleenex dispenser, a stack of jellies and a metal cup full of cream. Ordered coffee, which was reloaded at least once every five minutes. Ordered my usual ham omelet with home fries and rye toast, which magically appears less than a minute later. Generous size filled me well. These people know how to please. Artistic fountain in the middle of the dining floor, featuring a female figure alongside two jars as water flows from one to the other. Unique item never seen before. Red counter by cash register with about eight round seats. Wood table-seat units throughout, with double-wides along the long glass window facing Rosary Road and one-person seats along the middle of the dining floor. More customers came in as it got closer to lunch time. Bay-window entrance on the corner plus rear parking lot entrance. Garden landscaping on the outside, with a short white picket fence along edge of the sidewalk, and a long planter with tall plants along the window glass. My wife and I always drove by saying someday we should stop. Well we stopped I. On a Saturday. The place was not busy, so more options to sit as we seat ourselves. The atmosphere was not fancy but far from dumpy. They had a nice selection of breakfast and lunch items. As for the prices.. 5 Stars. Great prices.. I decided to get the steak and eggs. My wife sausage gravy over biscuits and eggs. The food came pretty fast. A different person from who took the order drop tot off. My wife before the food got there was refilled on her coffee, I still had half of glass of MNt. Dew. Ok so the food the steak was just thrown in a frying pan. I asked for med rare... It was well done. It was so tuff I could not chew and swallow most of it( I have good teeth) The eggs were cooked good. The sausage gravy tasted like four. Will the taste of food and constant chewing I finished my soda, my wife her coffee was empty. I went to set it on the edge so they could see I needed a refill, and the check was already there. No one person came back to ask how everything was, refill our Drinks, doggy bags. Nothing. My wife went up and paid the bill, I saw the lady who took our order(it's a small place) and asked Her if she was ever gonna come back to see how things were and refill our drinks. She stated that she is not the only one to wait on our table, or any table.. The waitresses all work together with all the tables.. With that said I just shook my head and left. Good breakfast. Had omelettes and French toast. Good prices. Waitstaff was nice. Bathroom was less than desirable. I bet if they remodeled it, people wouldn't think what I was thinking... if the bathroom is that gross, what's the kitchen like? We arrived for the first time at 2:00. We were not aware, or realized that Teds closed at 2:30, until after we ordered. We felt bad because I never want to be "that person" so we spoke to the waitress and told her we were so sorry we didn't realize they closed so soon we decided we would take it to go. She seemed happy I paid and also tipped her 50% before we got our food. We left and took our food to a park not far away, come to find out we received no napkins or condiments. I realize it doesn't seem much to complain about but We did her a favor by not eating in and I tipped her very well and she didn't make sure we had everything we needed to eat our meal. The food was ok, the sandwiches were good, though would have been better on deli bread instead of regular sandwich bread, the soup we ordered seemed like store bought, so was average, might have been better with salt and pepper, but she didn't give us any so I couldn't tell you. I would return it a friend wanted to go but wouldn't go back on my own. read more

Ordered a roast beef sub and grilled chicken salad via DoorDash. Food arrived on time but the sandwich was soggy and gross while the salad was not as advertised. Called the restaurant to complain, was accused of making up the whole story because according to the manager "we don't work with any sort of delivery service at all." Funny because DoorDash had no problem issuing a full refund while the same manager had no problem talking to my wife like she was a dog that had messed on the carpet, to the point where she was in tears. They also saw fit to respond to a bad review and request for an apology on their Facebook page by blocking both of our accounts. Complete unprofessionalism on every level, and terrible food to top it off. You're better off nuking a TV dinner. read more

There are some real serving issues with this restaurant. All the girls run around like chickens without heads and there's no structure whatsoever to how they wait tables. The tables are packed in like sardines. The food was a 30 minute wait and food was alright but not spectacular. Only reason they got two stars was the price was somewhat lower than most diners. read more

We were in town for only a few days and we ate breakfast there twice! Looks a little questionable from the outside, but inside it looked clean, the service was quick and the food was good! You seat yourself, but the servers were there instantly, more impressive was their teamwork! I think we saw all 4 waitresses, that says a lot! It's like stepping into the past, Nice Young Women Working there, the Hamburgers are out of this world, fresh and on great Kaiser Rolls, they are open until 2PM, You can have lunch for 2 for about 10 bucks. The coffee is also amazing, I can't help but Highly recommned this little diner. read more

A new low in customer service was achieved yesterday on my visit with my mother for lunch.It wasn't the server but no other than the manager/owner od duty at the time...Mom ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered the turkey rueben.The sandwiches arrived and I noticed that my cell phone was ringing, it was Wendy's calling ""where's the beef!!!" the bun to beef patty ratio was 3:1. I then took a bite out of my sandwich. I know that there was a bird flu that infected the turkey population earlier this year and we will all pay a little more for turkey but a think I had SOME turkey on it. But get this, it was diced!!!!! Huh??? In addition, there was very little sauerkraut and a scant amount of thousand island and no swiss cheese!!!??? Sandwich making 101 is not adhered to here. I then deconstructed the sandwich to explain to the server why I was disappointed. She offered something else I declined. Mom was done with her bunburger I mean cheeseburger. I expected an adjustment on my bill I did eat the fries. The sandwich price was $5.90. My bill was adjusted $2.80.... Half off for a sandwich I didn't eat!!! I guess the manager/owner needed $2.80 more than my mother and I as well as at least 11 people I will tell and however many will read this post. My recommendation is to not support a service oriented business that doesn't recognize they were wrong and the customer was right.DON'T ORDER THE TURKEY RUEBEN read more
