One prescription was stolen because it was left in the mail room of my apartment with just the first name on it. Very in frequent about delivery consistency, they want a signature but call ten minutes before arriving and won't schedule the delivery. People on the other phone when you call in can be very rude. Anyone with medical in the county will probably be pushed to try to get their scripts sent through them. read more

Ted's consistently goes above and beyond for my patients. They deliver quickly. They actually answer the phone. I can speak with the pharmacist easily if I have a question. If there is an issue with a medication, the communicate thoroughly and promptly. As a psychiatrist working with people with complex situations, I tremendously value the service Ted's provides. It makes a meaningful impact on my patient's lives, at the same time as making things easier on me logistically. I would never go back to Ted's Village again, they profile you. Because of my career situation I sometimes have to get an early refill. Philip Sam, if that's his real name told me straight up which I have on phone recording that he doesn't believe why I have to get an early refill. I've had several issues with them before and thought maybe I should go one last time. But this last time, I felt very disrespected and profiled. The whole staff will give you issues. And I am one to understand what a Pharmacy goes through, but you should never treat your customers like how I've been treated. read more

My 94 year old mother's controlled prescription she needed immediately was not delivered. Instead she received someone else's prescriptions. They only deliver to Foster City at 5:30. The Ted's delivery was made after 6:00 at which time they were closed and not available. This seems so wrong. read more

If I could, I would be giving this pharmacy no stars. They rarely have the medication you need on the day that a prescription is sent to them, causing for a CONSTANT delay in receiving the medication you need. Although, on occasion, they do have the common decency to call you and inform you that the prescription is not there - most of the time you are left in the dark. The staff is HORRIBLE over the phone. They expect you to know absolutely everything about your new prescriptions, and act annoyed when you ask questions about it. I want to support a local pharmacy and have been going to Ted's for years. I love that they deliver. But enough is enough. Last night, in DESPERATE need of a medication, the pharmacist misinformed me over the phone what prescription I would need to have transferred to CVS and by the time I realized the error, Teds was closed. I'm tired of subpar service, the lack of medication and snotty attitude of the pharmacy staff. I cannot tell you how many times I've been rudely interrupted on the phone to be told they have "never heard of that medication before." Bye Teds, I won't miss you. read more

I have to agree with the other posters on the positives of Ted's the local pharmacy. They are kind and friendly (very). Like most businesses if you phone in ahead to get something they will let you know the time or if it's available. They know their medications and are helpful if you have a health question. Go to any other pharmaceuticals and they will not nearly be as friendly. The lady at the front desk is one of the most caring people you'll ever meet at a drug store. read more

I searched out a delivery pharmacy because the lines at CVS were going out the door. Takes forever to check out, etc. I found Ted'sVillagePharmacy, and the business is wonderful to it's customers. I usually have many, many,medications to manage for my husband and having online reorder and delivery is truly life saving to me! New management or just a bad day that's taken out on a customer? I have been using Ted's for over a year until now. My meds hsve always been delivered without fail, if I'm not available the driver would deliver next door without fail. Not sure what happened this time around however. I had not reveived my meds in a week, much needed meds. I contacted Teds to find out the issue. I was shocked when I was told the driver had made 5 attempts to no avail. I inquired as to whether it was a new driver or what not because they have always gone to my neighbor and vice versa or called. I was told there was no notation of that and for some reason my old number was in their system even though I had updated a year ago. Fine, no problem I provided the instructions and number again and was told the meds would be delivered after 6. Great, if I dont answer I'll be at my neighbors and call if necessary. Well, no delivery. I call the following day, inquired and again, phone number not updated, no notation regarding neighbor, as a matter of fact was told they do not do that. Confused I explain they have for over a year and for several neighbors in my building. I get transferred to some man who only allowed me to speak for about ren seconds before interupting me and talking over me. Literally I said hi, I'm just trying to figure out my delivery situation, I called last night, uodated my information a.....didnt even get out the and. This guy starts berating me. He tells me very sternly we don't deliver to alternative places (My neighbors door btw is about 5ft next to mine) he continues to tell me I haven't even bothered to give an accurate phone number, etc and I'm trying to speak the entire time but he just would not stop, I literally said I'm begging you to stop and hear me, please be respectful to another human being, this is not customer service, and he just raises his voice going on a tangent trying his hardest not to hear me at all. He literally sad you are irritating and aggravating me so you know what, we aren't going to deliver meds to you ever again, we are done with you, if you want meds from us you have to come pick them up (I'm not capable hence the deliveries and if he played any attention to my meds it may have given him that clue, mind you if it were narcotics, restrictive meds I'd understand but again, me at neighbors who's door is 5 ft away) and I'm still not able to get a word in edge wise he continues in the same breathe/sentence as a matter of fact you're done with Ted's, you can't even come pick them up, you are banned and need to find a new pharmacy(mind you I'm in shock and in tears at this point by being treated the way he was) and he hangs up. And call back, spoke to the same girl who answered, who never gave a name nor did he. I asked to speak to someone higher, I was told he was the manager, won't give a name though. I ask about the owner and am told his name is Steve, what's his last name, ma'am I don't want to get involved in this, please can you give me his last name I'm not telling at you, cursing at you or being rude and don't deserve this treatment from my pharmacy when I was trying to come up with a solution. She told me I could call "Steve " and ask him. Seriously. So in tears I tell my neighbor, she calls. The guy who went off on me answers, no name. She tries to talk to him, explain everything. He does the same, doesn't want to hear her, interrupts over speaks and says he has made his final decision, it's done there's no point in talking about it and at this point all you two are doing is aggravating me. What kind of service is this? It's certainly not customer oriented, not even human oriented and pushing people to tears is not acceptable. Little did he know calls on our phones are recorded so hopefully I will find "Steve" and let him know how his employees treat customers. read more

Ted's is a great pharmacy but John is the worst pharm tech there. I have had had to fill prescriptions with him on multiple occasions and he is a poor representation for the establishment. He has a bad attitude and slips back handed comments into conversation. Also always sounds like he's in a rush and not very willing to be helpful. Probably needs more training in his position and customer service if it seems to fluster him so much. Try opting for a different pharmacy technician to help you. read more

I wanted to support a local pharmacy and was even willing to compromise on the business hours, which are fewer than CVS or Walgreens. But I was struck by how shop-worn and dingy the place looked, how uninteresting the selection of products was, and finally that the clerk helping me actually laughed, first when telling me that they weren't likely to carry my prescription and then, when I came back, that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I wish this place could step up and be a real alternative to the big chain places, but it doesn't really seem like they're trying. I read the reviews before I went today, but I missed all of the hidden reviews that more accurately describe the place. If I were the owner I would put in a new floor, a seating area, better lighting and natural health and body care products. read more

I moved my regular prescriptions to Ted's Village Pharmacy thinking I was supporting the little man, the locally owned business. They run ads claiming that they know their customers by name, not by number. In reality, I've been going there for several months, and the staff seems weirdly ... rude. Disinterested in helping me. Annoyed when I call to refill a prescription at 9 a.m. and want to pick it up at, oh, 1 p.m. (How long in advance SHOULD you call in a prescription?) I was willing to deal with Ted's unrealistic hours (9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, closed Sunday) for a little while, but then it got to be a drag. The pharmacy itself is a collection of Drugstore Items From The Past, including mercury thermometers (!) which are illegal to sell in California, and the world's oldest shampoo. I'm going back to Walgreens. At least they're open on Sundays. read more

Great to work with a smaller pharmacy as they are pretty flexible and are always friendly. Their store is not as shiny as other big name pharmacies but they offer great service and always a pleasure to work with. read more

I cant beleive the bad reviews, I find the people there very nice and the big guy wit the curly hair knows my name and my prescriptions, and I find it very honorable that the owner keeps that sweet older women who works the cash register employeed, and when forget to pick up my medication they bring it to my house, yha it looks a little old fashioned in there and could use a little organizing, but the prices are better than the other bigger stores and the service is way better than standing in line forever at CVS, and most pharmacist anywhere are always a little crabby and impatient. read more

Despite being a long time customer of Ted's Pharmacy, I have had the unfortunate experience of suffering it's DECLINE! I list my scripts and fax them in to the store every month, have done so for several years now. As of late, I am not receiving my meds, getting no feed-back as to what is happening. It is easier for me to call my Doctor and ask them to send another script request in than it is to get any help from Ted's now feeble staff. It is now the 11th of the month and I still do not have my meds as needed, as prescribed, as requested. The manager on site is of no help, all he could tell me was that my 'profile was extensive'. I told him 'I fax you a list of my meds every month specifying what I need.' Well i t looks like there was no refills for one but we sent a request....NOT, my doctor received nothing from them. I would not write a review of this kind if this had not been a repeated experience month after month for at least the last six months!!! read more

Do not, I mean do NOT go to this pharmacy. They are extremely rude and unprofessional, especially the lolita Chica Mexican bambina. I had a prescription from my Dr. I tried to get filled and because it was one day early on my insurance she would not allow me to even pay $160 cash price without using my insurance. When someone's Dr. Gives them meds early because I'm leaving to go out of town, there should not be an issue. I have been using this pharmacy for about 3 years and all the sudden the pharmacy staff have been extremely rude, lie about actual delivery time or saying I already got my medicine and I didn't. and have just been more of a pain in the butt then any other pharmacy I been to, so I hate Walgreen's and Longs drugs but rather use them now then teds only thing I will miss is the delivery of my medicine since I hate driving to go get my medicine, so not being able to have delivery will kinda suck but I rather have a caring pharmacy then a staff that don't give a damn.. read more

I wrote a 5 star review for Ted's Pharmacy. I have used them over and over for the last 2 years. I have severe lower back pain; and yes, I take schedule 3 medication for it so I can get out of bed and go to work to support my 10 year old girl. I went in with my prescription on a Saturday to have it refilled. My medical card came up "inoperative" and I had just usded the card two days before. From time to time that can happen especilly if I was late with medical's monthly report. I understood that can happen and since my father had passed just two weeks ago, I knew I could have easily forgotten the monthly paperwork; so I knew not to cause a big fuss. I told them I would just write a check like I had done two or three times before. Ted's Pharmacy knew where I lived, as they had delivered to me several times in the past. They absolutely knew where I worked, as well. Imagine my suprise when they denied me the solution of just writing a check for my prescription. I told them I could get cash and they also said that I was not going to be back in time because they closed at 2pm. I was amazed, hurt and down right confused. Where these really the same people that had no trouble with me for 2 years and now I had somehow turned into some kind of person that did not deserve the right to be trusted? Never a bad check, you know where I work and live and you know I am picking up important pain medication. I was almost in tears and realized no one really cared, they all just wanted to go home. Wow, I swore at the rude jerk that was talking to me like someone he had never seen before. It was no suprise that he could yell much louder than I. I was asked to leave, naturally. I headed off to Walgreen's, and was confronted with the exact same scenario, except this time there was curtiousy . In fact, the fellow that waited on me (and they actually had alot of customers) noticed that my card's information and dates should not have been suspended and he concurred with my own theory. They filled the prescription in 15 minutes, took my check and told me that I could have the money reimbursed within 7 days after I took care of the problem with my medical worker. I thought to myself why are these crazy people over at Ted's acting so rude when they are lossing customers left and right? Now I understood why so many other people would not go there. . Oh well, Looks like Ted's Pharmacy can kiss my....business good-bye. I don't really think they like to wait on anyone. read more

Whatever you do.....do not use this pharmacy!!!! I have never delt with such an unprofessional pharmacy. If you need your medication...bet that you will not get it. If your Dr. calls in your meds and you are told you NEED to begin your medication that very day--this pharmacy may hinder that instruction. I think it is dangerous and rude for a business that is suppose to provide a health service to the community to behave in such a manner. read more
