This CVS is a small and humble location but the staff are what make this location the best. John is so warm and friendly when you come into the store. Michelle and Kim at the pharmacy were quick to acknowledge me when I had a random question. Special mention to James who has been super friendly from start to finish. Best of all, when a personal belonging went missing, he was quick to keep the item safe until I got back to the store. I trust James very much and I believe you can too. read more

Went in for an appt to get COVID vaccine. Sat for 15 minutes with people coming and going, vaccinator leaving the little booth to talk to someone, finally someone who showed up 15 minutes after my appointment gets called. Ask pharmacist "am I supposed to check in somewhere? Where is the sign? Where are the instructions in the automated email I received that I need to do anything besides show up and let the vaccinator know I'm here?" Where is the sign "ARE YOU HERE FOR A VACCINE? DO X, Y and Z" Total incompetence. read more

Pharmacy assistants lack professionalism and communication skills over the phone. I called to inquire when my prescription would be ready since I was in the area. Instead of informing me they hadn't yet received a prescription yet, the pharmacy assistant spoke to me as if we were in high school saying she didn't know, in the tone of "how am I supposed to know?!". She spoke as if I was bothering her, I could practically hear her rolling her eyes. I had my phone on speaker and the person I was with was even surprised at her uncalled for and unnecessary rudeness. read more

I dropped by earlier today as I was looking for a product called Bag Balm, and did a search on my phone and was directed to this CVS store. I had trouble finding it but the two younger guys working together found it for me and just wanted to say thanks for the service and for me not having to go somewhere else to find it. Just moved to the community and have been a long time customer of Walgreens. Thought I give this place a try since a Walgreens is not close by. Being new to this place, I began to walk towards the back where the pharmacy is located. Prior to this I took the steps of advising Walgreens of my intentions of moving and trying out CVS. So I made the necessary changes to start receiving my prescriptions at CVS. As I began to look to see the operation, I noticed that there were approximately two people who were being helped. No problem right? Wrong! Instead of being greeted, a loud firm voice asked, "Sir are you here for a flu shot!?" I guess that was an indirect indication to me or another way of saying, "Why are you standing here?!" I replied , No to her assumption. I told her I was waiting for a prescription pick up. I guess my bad for being new and more observant to where I should have been standing. Perhaps, after giving the pharmacy tech that answer, an appropriate response would have been. "Ok sir, could I get you to stand over there?" I do want to commend the cashier who initially helped me. Although she was trying to help, there were some items that I had plenty of., I didn't need extra meds if not necessary. I guess this is where some employees and techs get triggered. It's kind of saying, " Please don't tell me that! Your making my job harder!" Well I'm sorry, I don't need items that I already have, maybe Walgreens made an error? I guess things started to get hard so the cashier needed an expert tip by the tech. So the thing that I really dislike is when someone is trying to give some advise how to resolve the problem and instead of asking a question directly to you they say...."Did you ask him this that or another!" While I'm in front of both of them. I would say that if it is a training issue, a teachable moment would be showing the employee by setting the example. In addition, of being ignored when the tech asks a direct question of did you have any questions for the pharmacist? And you say no but have a question for a glucose meter and get no response is downright rude! I'm sorry, the pharm tech did not give me that warm fuzzy feeling but more of I'm dealing with your annoying meds and your being tough on us because your making us work harder. In the end the pharmacy tech did manage to answer the question and how to resolve my problem. First impressions are golden. I'll wait to see if I get more warm and fuzzy feelings about this place. read more

This review is for COVID-19 testing at this location. I booked an appt here rather than the city on 7/16. The drive-thru testing process itself was fine, the gentleman at the window was clear and nice about the whole thing. He gets 5 stars. My complain is that today is 7/28 and I still haven't received any results. When I booked the appt it said results in 3-4 days, then after the test I was told it was going to take 4-7 days. I called CVS for info and followed the 800 number they gave for Minute Clinic and the lady told me 6-10 business days. I understand that a lot of people of getting tested right now so they can be a little backed up but waiting for more than 2 wks is really agonizing. I probably could have booked another test somewhere in the city and gotten results by now. Just super frustrated with the turn around rate. read more

Noticed the reviews are fairly dated so the bad experiences are probably few and far between. I've been getting my prescription meds here for the past few years and haven't had any issues. Prescriptions seem to get filled promptly and the people working here are all friendly. From a general store perspective it's pretty small so I wouldn't expect so I don't do too much shopping here. They have the basics and with Safeway being right across the parking lot I really just come here for my prescription meds and OTC meds when things are on sale. All in all, there's no reason I see why they should have a 2-star rating. read more

This drugstore is so tiny it's often difficult to find what I need. Occasionally it's come in handy having a pharmacy in the Crystal Springs Shopping Center, but for the most part, it's too small of a drugstore to be very useful. It also seems like one slow customer can overwhelm the cashier here, so I've left empty-handed even if I've found what I needed when I haven't had time to wait. read more

Best CVS ever! The staff is amazing,friendly,knowledgeable and helpful. They are welcoming especially Tiffany and Michele. Tiffany does a great job with customer service and Michele is great support staff tech for the pharmacist. I believe the two Asian woman who are pharmacists are the best I have ever encountered. It's a small CVS and doesn't have the selection and quantity of big CVS and I am grateful to have this resource in my neighborhood. They are all so kind to my husband, my dog Winston and me. Try it. Since I'm a fan of certain Aveeno products, I've been known to stock up when I see a good deal. The current one is 25% off on the entire line so I did a pretty good house cleaning on my tried and true. As I looked at the sign when I was packing my stuff in the trunk I realized that it actually said : Longs Pharmacy. Huh? I've never seen that before! It's always been Longs Drugs. Drive to appointment 5-10 minutes early at drive through window. Little or no wait line. Test is self administered. Process took a few minutes. That is how I like it. I had a PCR visit at the drive through window at the CVS on Delaware Ave. in San Mateo. The reservation process was easy, the sample collection in the car was well explained and thorough, the communication about the status of my sample and accessing my results was excellent and quick. All were done using my smart phone I highly recommend this place for testing. I did find having a small scissors handy due to my deteriorating small motor skills. read more

All things considered, this is a nice store... I still call it "the Little Longs" even though it's been CVS for a while now. In a certain sense, it's more like a convenience store than a full-fledged drugstore. They may - or may not - have exactly what you're looking for, but you WILL find a decent selection of candy, shampoo, makeup, Hallmark cards, snacks, and health care items... Convenient, but not where you could do every single bit of your shopping. Line at the front can get long but it does seem to move... Usually. Pharmacy is efficient. Can get busy especially right around 5, but they do seem to keep things running efficiently. read more

I used to think CVS was just the SoCal version of Longs, kinda like how Vons is the SoCal version of Safeway. I loved CVS when I was in SD for college - open 24hr for those late night beer runs and snackies :] So in high school, I actually worked at this place for a year when it used to be Longs. It was actually nice that it was such a small store because we could only carry "normal" drugstore and personal care items. And who needs all the other stuff when you have Safeway in the same plaza? But when Longs turned into CVS, I noticed that CVS' prices were a lot higher and it really turned me off. Their deals weren't as good as Longs either. Instead of just selling one thing for 15% off, they only offered buy 1 get 1 50% off deals. Some people might like the idea of getting more stuff, but it only puts me into a tizzy because, being the Queen of Indecisiville, I end up spending the next 40 minutes deciding what my second thing is going to be. Also, when it used to be Longs, they didn't sell any tobacco product - not even zigzags or lighters. But now, they have a whole wall of of cigarettes! Boy, am I glad I don't work there now. The only reason why I still come here is because they carry more personal care items than Safeway and because it's so close to my house. But when I need to pick up more than a couple things, I don't mind taking the mini drive to Target. read more

Came to this CVS because it's right by my work. I was going through their ad and noticed the dog foods were on sale. I asked the associates where they were, and they said they didn't carry pet care in their store. I was very disappointed! I started to walk around and notice they didn't have a lot of things. Their selection is very minimum. This store should get an upgrade since it is in a big plaza with lots of shoppers. The customer service is really good though. Friendly and helpful. read more

This place is on the small side and I use that typically as a second resort to getting personal items. Since the store isn't big, I can expect that they may not have everything I am looking for, which half the time is true in my experience. As people have said, the service is slow at the front. I have learned to just go to the pharmacy and they will ring you up no problem. I have adopted that method of checking out and has saved me from being frustrated waiting for the front cashier. read more

This review is specifically regarding the flu shot service offered by the pharmacy. We live close by and use this store as our main pharmacy for medications and most of our drug store needs. We received an e-mail soliciting their flu shot service so we followed the instructions made a 1:15pm appointment at this location the day before using their online service and even received a reminder confirming the time and date. Upon arrival we were told that the pharmacist had gone on lunch and wouldn't be available for at least 30 minutes and they couldn't do anything because they had to give them a lunch break. They apologized but stated that lunch is taken between 1:00 to 2:00pm daily and no flu shots are given at that time. When told about the appointment they stated it was the corporate system and that they didn't get notified of the appointment. One of the employees stated "this happens all the time". When asked about what their process with the online system was the representative speaking to us did not answer the question and seemed unclear of what the procedure was. She did apologize several times and referred us to the manager. He apologized and stated he would escalate the problem to corporate. We were not able to stay and wait so was not able to get the shot. At best their system is broken and communication is poor between the employees, the management and the corporate level. It appears this was not the first occurrence but nothing was done to fix this. read more

I use the pharmacy intensively and throughout the years, I have had only superb experiences with the staff. Courteous, problem solving, and they deliver on time. They also communicate well with phone calls and in person. They call me whenever there is a question and give me very personalized service. Perhaps this is because I am a heavy user, but I appreciate it. Once, when I was locked out of my house, a staff member took his break to come up to my house and "break-in". Pretty good, huh. As a side note: They will keep a set of your house keys in case you lose them. I don't like CVS as a store - the coupons drive me crazy, although I have encountered only friendliness on the part of the staff. I didn't pay attention when I got my refill prescription at the beginning of the month on how many pills were there. But when I got back to get another refill, they told me I had to wait 10 days otherwise the assurance won't cover it. I came back with the bottle and prove to them that they only supplied 60 pills not 90. I understand that sometimes error happens, but at least an apology is the least they can provide. Patients don't have the time to count pills or to check that the pharmacist has done correctly her work. read more

Beware, the WORLD's SLOWEST HUMANS work the pharmacy here! The pharmacy staff seem like they'd be extremely challenged tying their own shoes. The drivethrough (which one would ordinarily expect to be a timesaver takes FOREVER. Do they get any training at this pharmacy?? They screw up your prescriptions on a regular basis and are not particularly friendly. Also, the hours here are rediculous for a pharmacy. Close at 8 pm (seriously)? Also, you better get there at least 10 minutes before closing time to pickup your medicine cause these guys are shutting down by then and aren't going to provide you customer service if it means they'll have to stay there 30 seconds beyond close time. Unfortunately CVS is the only pharmacy in the immediate neighborhood, but I would seriously consider driving a mile or two out of the way to go someplace else like Walgreens. read more

I've been coming to this pharmacy for years and it is going downhill fast. No one speaks to one another or documents anything in the computer. Auto refill dates take on new dates every month - even though it should be automatic. The drive thru window takes longer than finding parking and getting out and going in.
