July we were told that new management was coming that following Monday. I show up Monday no one there lights off doors locked. No explanation try reaching out to D1 no response for about 2-3 weeks. Finally we get a call stating that their new management and they will be starting class back up and that we would have the weeks missed added to the end of the contract. Well everything was fine until December 12 when I get a text message telling me classes were canceled. I called and spoke with Corey and he stated that the facility was going to be closing for renovations. I already knew something was up. The space is small what more can they do to it. Well, he told me that we will be getting an email from corporate about what going on and that we will be getting refunds. I did receive an email from corporate that Sunday night telling me another lie about what they're doing and how they plan to reopen in 6 weeks but that we were going to be getting a refund by the end of the week. That was December 15 and today is Jan 16 and I still have yet to receive anything from D1. I have sent emails with no response. I called the Frisco location which is were Corey from Firewheel D1 went to. He told me that refunds had been refunded, but after talking to some the other clients that also attended D1 Firewheel they have not yet received their refund either. I've reached out to corporate no response the number for corporate on the website for immediate assistance goes straight to voicemail. I really thought highly of D1 the trainers were all great. But, the owners they don't care about us. They only care about lining their pockets.

I met the owner/trainer, Travis, and was very impressed. I have had a trainer of my own and can tell Travis knew what he was doing. There is a very simplistic feel to this gym...there may not be fancy equipment but everything they do is very effective. Travis is pretty hands on and makes sure you are doing exercises correctly to get the best results. He showed me how to improve my squat so that they were less harmful to my knees! I was also able to see some of his success stories there and these folks are inspiring! Sarah and Melody are very friendly and helpful, a real blessing. Everything inside is sparkling clean which is very encouraging and gives a sense of safety when it comes to getting infected by germs and bacteria, etc. The location is excellent for me, and the fact that the gym is located in a very safe area of Wylie (right across from the Fire Station) enhances the security of anyone adventuring in the middle of the night. I enjoy 24/7 access, and member safety is enhanced by 24/7 monitoring. If someone is looking for training assistance, licensed trainers are available for consultation. Unlike any gym I have ever joined, there is also a licensed physical therapist, Russell Darrington of Phoenix Osteopractic Physical Therapy, located onsite. This is not a "Big Box" fitness center, so like anything else, you get what you pay for. The gym is not overcrowded, and all the members here are friendly and courteous.

(This is not reflective of the stretchologist - she was great - the service just isn't worth what I'm payong for it. I realized that I can get the same service at Massage Envy for a LOT less money). I waited 3 months, as the contract states, and cancelled as soon as my 3rd month was charged. I paid for the 3rd month and scheduled my appointments for the 3rd month. They did not confirm, so when I went in for my next appointment, I asked if they got my email, and they had. I asked them to please send a confirmation, so the girl at the front figured out how to do that and sent it while I was there. I went in today for my next appointment, and they had, according to the guy at the front, "done you a favor and cancelled everything so you didn't have to pay another month." I followed their guidelines and cancelled so I didn't have to pay a 4th month. I had already paid for the current month. When I explained that they cancelled the appointments I'd already paid for, he gave me a condescending smile (those of us from the south know that FU smile) and told me he could get me in later today. I have a job and manage other people. I can't just take off willy nilly and reschedule. (BTW this is not the only time they have cancelled my appointments and tried to reschedule and blamed the ap although now I'm questioning that). There were people coming in behind me, so I just decided to leave and give this review and suck up the $300 they just stole from me. So, if you are unemployed and have money to waste, then by all means, spend it here.
