Are you unfortunate enough to own a older used Diesel BMW? And have you had constant…read moreout-of-the-blue issues - and then realized that there are only like 5 legit places in all of the greater Metro area that actually dare to service Diesel BMWs? (shockingly, this includes several of the larger Euro-car shops!). And then - IF you're lucky enough to get an appointment - you get to drive or tow your BMW to one of those few places, all of which are inconveniently scattered around at distances that all but ensure you'll either get stranded on your way there, or your towing bill is more than your mortgage. And then if by some miracle you manage to get to one of those repair shops in one piece, you're left with a repair bill 2-3 times what you'd expected because... BMW Diesels are apparently harder and more expensive to fix to the point where nobody wants to do it anymore? Yes? Poor you. And poor me, because this was exactly me a few days ago. But here's a solution, and I wish I had known about it earlier - Off Grid Diesel Repair. 1) OFF GRID comes to you if needed. They drove over 30 minutes to get to me. Extra charge? NO! 2) Parts availability? Diesel BMW parts are even harder to get than regular BMW parts but Off Grid had 'em. 3) Sneaky over-billing on parts? ? Also no, I compared their parts prices with prices from parts wholesalers. Same prices. 4) Eye-watering labor costs? Also no, reasonable and actually lower than what I was quoted by 2 other places (who don't come to you, btw). For me, I needed an emergency fix for serpentine belt and tensioners installed on a 2014 BMW 328d xDrive. This is a temporary fix for several much larger issues that I simply cannot afford to fix. This temp fix is something not every one of the other places wants to do because it means less money for them than upselling you to a often unnecessary bigger repair project. Off -Grid didn't try any of those sneaky things with me. Came to my home, explained what's gonna happen, did the thing, explained answered my ridiculously uninformed questions without ever making me feel stupid. And that's that, all done. Reasonably priced, very friendly and incredibly knowledgable (I was lucky to get the owner himself, who's like a Diesel deity here). It's your money and sanity but if you want a shortcut to getting your BMW back on the road, hit up Off Grid. NOTE: I'm not paid or in any way incentivized by Off Grid for this review. They didn't even ask me to leave one but I'm so impressed and grateful that I felt that I had to.

He offered to help find me a new car! He asked for my preferences on what car I wanted and took the time to search for a new one. I ended up finding one on my own but the fact that he took time out of his day to help me find a new one was above and beyond service.
