I came, I paid, I drank. Service oriented and chatty the staff is not but this is one of the few places for coffee in Mountain Village so I came here a couple of times. I ordered boring drinks like an Americano and iced coffee so nothing fancy and they filled my cup up to the brim so I felt like I got my moneys worth. I wouldn't come here expecting to chat it up with the staff, they didn't really say anything and seemed to be more concerned with what they were listening to on their own. I stopped into this coffee shop a couple times on our recent trip to Telluride. It's a perfect stop for an afternoon brew (or latte, as it were) or a coffee cocktail. I loved that they had cocktails at this very unassuming little spot. We ate breakfast here on our way out of town and it was the perfect "see ya next time, Telluride" meal. The brekkie options are between $13 and $18, so not super cheap, but very conveniently located, great options, and good tasting food. Treat yourself to a cinnamon role (ask them to warm it up) if they have any left. It's the kind of place where you order at the front and take a number to your table. Seating is limited but it never seemed totally slammed (though I didn't see them during peak lunch hours on a weekend). If you're looking for a quicker brekkie that gives you the option to booze it up, and has great coffee to boot, this is a pretty solid little place. read more

Unapologetic indignant counter person who screwed up our order-- and left us waiting for 30+ minutes before bringing half our order (incorrect) , and then having to go in 15 minutes later to ask about the second part of our order (a bagel and cream cheese. This coffee and breakfast shop is located in mountain village. We were staying at the Fairmont and it was literally less than 100 yards from our room. They had an extensive hot and cold drink menu and a nice assortment of breakfast options. They did have gluten free bread. The workers were very nice and helpful. I ordered a latte with almond milk and an egg and cheese sandwich. We ordered and sat outside near the fire pit. The latte and food wasn't anything extraordinary but was exactly as expected. They definitely were talking Covid precautions. They required face masks , social distancing and limited the amount of patrons. I felt comfortable getting food here. Probably would be really cozy to eat here during ski season. Would recommend for a quick coffee and breakfast. Masks, social distancing and outdoor dining. read more

Super bummed that we missed out on having some waffles or pancakes here bc we ate at our hotel before riding the gondolas into the village for the day! We got some coffees (lattes) and spoke to the friendly staff for a while and I also purchased a banana nut muffin for later that was HUGE and ate it the next day after a hike and found it to be moist and absolutely delicious. The food looked wonderful coming out of the kitchen and I like their location centrally in the village close to all the shopping and rentals so you can get a coffee and snack before or after your skiing or exploring and people watch if you want to. The coffee was just OK - but the muffin was delicious and the other pastries looked huge and delicious - and the menu and food we saw going out was on point. Instead of 5 stars I'm doing 4 because the coffee was only OK and the uncharges for other milks were SO high. read more

Nice place in Mountain Village to grab a cup of coffee. Telluride Coffee is located in the plaza area. It is somewhat hidden, but not too far from the gondola. It's nice to have a local coffee shop in the area. In addition to gourmet coffee and espresso drinks, they have pastries, breakfast and lunch. There is also a grab-in-go section with items like yogurt, sandwiches and granola bars. I have only visited here a couple times for coffee since I have been coming to Telluride. Getting a hot latte is always a nice way to warm up after a long day of skiing. Customer service has been a hit-or-miss for me and seating is mostly outdoors on the patio. They do have heaters, but they aren't the greatest. read more

Good coffee, but MAN it's pricey! I know this is a vacation spot, but whew, I couldn't believe that my regular sized iced latte with oat milk and a dash of hazelnut was almost $10. I took it to-go, but wouldn't drink or eat here anyway because it was pretty cluttered and didn't feel clean. They have restaurant supplies out in the public sitting next to tables which I didn't think was a good look. The dog owner works there and/or manages the place. Mangers: Tips for ya: when your dog almost mauls someone 1) how about apologizing? 2) take it home and don't bring it back. 3) realize that there are small children around and this would be a horrible situation if one gets bit. I usually try to only leave reviews if they're going to be 4 or 5 stars - there are always enough negative reviews that I don't feel the need to add to them. But this place is in a resort destination where people really rely on reviews to know where to go, so I think adding my experience to the mix can be valuable. I'll also say that I very much wavered between 2 and 3 stars for this review. I came here wanting to support the local coffee shop over going to Starbucks while staying in Mountain Village. I'll lead with the good: I really enjoyed my spicy chai latte (I like that you can choose spicy or sweet or both), and was happy that they offered gluten free bread. The majority of the space inside the shop is being used for storage. They very clearly are not concerned with the atmosphere here. Not the cute coffee shop vibe I was hoping for at all. The service started off as passable but not very pleasant, and then ended on a very sour note for me when I asked where I could find utensils for my meal and the associate simply opened the box to show me that they were inside, then closed the box and walked away - not a word spoken to me, not a response when I said "oh, thank you!" - it came across as extremely rude. I waited about 20 minutes for an order of avocado toast (they have a sign near the kitchen area that says "our food is made with love, and love takes time" - see previous paragraph for the "love" I experienced). Since they aren't currently offering indoor seating, I took my order back to my hotel to eat. There is a patio outside but it's not really sufficiently heated for my comfort. You can eat in one of the cute little heated gondolas in the square if needed, though. The biggest disappointment of all was the food itself. Nothing was seasoned. Not at all. No salt on the hash browns (diner style, cooked ok but pretty greasy for my taste), eggs, nothing. The avocado toast was just a few slices of avocado with some tomato, eggs and some goat cheese spread on the bread. The eggs were nicely cooked, though. In summary - it might be worthwhile coming here for just a coffee drink. But the rude service made me feel hesitant even to do that. Sad to me that the only local coffee shop in the area has now made me favor Starbucks for the rest of my stay. read more

Had a really bad experience on a quick visit in July. 1. 30 minute wait for any hot prepared food. 2. Oatmeal packs that expired 7 months ago. 3. Recalled Pepperidge Farm goldfish on shelves. When we alerted two employees separately about the national recall the assured us they would address it. We went back a day or so later and they were still offered for sale. Look at the national recall and the risks if consumed. Careless. 4. Prepared an oatmeal that was not expired by filling it to the brim with scalding hot water. When we opened it, it spilled and scalded my little girl's thigh. Apparently they didn't have much experience preparing the oatmeal as another employee had to tell the guy how to prepare it correctly the second time. This place is an example of having a great location but not having enough employees to handle demand and keep the quality high. read more
