We didn't know this, but lucky for us, Elevated Coffee Company was one of two businesses that were open. We had popped into town after snowshoeing and were craving some hot chocolate. We were not put off as we were on vacation and therefore could relax and enjoy. We chatted a bit about the time when she owned the large restaurant next door and used to have all sorts of Au Pair coming form Europe to work the season in Silverton as servers. It was nice to meet a friendly shop owner as this does not seem to be always the case in this tourist Mecca :) We ordered a Strawberry Smoothie, a Chocolate filled croissant and an iced Coconut Latte. Everything was delicious, refreshing and it was great that the shop had a few benches outside where to relax and enjoy the cold drinks while gazing at the mountains.

The cinnamon rolls and peach turnovers had just come out of the oven! Wow. Got one of each plus a cup of coffee to go. It's s good thing we didn't start eating them until we were out of town or I'd have gone back and bought the full tray of each. Superior. A Silverton must-stop for us.
