Pizza was fantastic!! Brick oven pizza with great crust and sauce. Pizza is one size, so you can try lots of different linds.

We ordered 2 large pizzas around 8 pm so it was late and we were starving. When you're hungry anything tastes great. Not this pizza. It was tasteless, burned on the bottom (and not just dark but tasted burned) and felt like it needed more of everything, except time in the oven. How can a pizza not be salty enough? No flavor in the sauce and the cheese was some sort of cheap low-moisture part-skim mozzarella imitation blend. The pizzas were SMALL despite having ordered 2 larges and to top it off, they were expensive for what we got. You spend over $40 and you expect larger pies. These were the same size as most smalls you get; can't imagine how small their smalls are. Overall a bad experience, a bad pizza, overpriced and tip suggestions starting at 20% smh. Should've gone to Chesleys right down the street. Much cheaper and much tastier. read more

Tartaglia's Pizza in Compton, NH serves delicious wood-fired pizza with great flavor profiles and a solid variety of choices. The service was super friendly, and our pizza came out quickly. We especially loved the spicy Margherita. Wow! This was such a great experience! We were on our way home from the Ice Castles and stopped in for dinner. Our food came out so fast we were shocked! The speed was impressive. We got the cheese pizza and garlic knots. Both were amazing. We could not stop saying how delicious it was. We also got the cannoli dip as well and that was another winner! As we were finishing that off I told my husband we have to come back and as we were putting out coats on our niece said the same. We even got some deep dish pizzas to take home. The service was fantastic to top it all off! A kitchen full of ladies! I love to see it. They were all friendly and the energy in the building was happy and calm. A confidence. Tartaglia's Pizza is hands down the best pizza in New Hampshire. The brick-oven crust is absolute perfection. It was crispy, chewy, and full of flavor and the ingredients are incredibly fresh and delicious. Every pizza we tried was outstanding. It's a cozy little hole-in-the-wall and we enjoyed chatting with the friendly owner and her staff while waiting for our pickup order. You can tell they truly care about their food and their customers. A quick tip: the pizzas are on the smaller side (I definitely over-ordered, but no one complained about the leftovers!), and since it's a small operation, call well ahead if you're placing a large order. We were staying in an Airbnb nearby, and based on the good reviews decided to order food to go for dinner after hiking. I called in the order on the way and it was ready when we arrived. We drove right past it the first time, missing the unobtrusive building tucked between two gas stations. The space inside is small (4-5 tables for dining in). The outdoor space was not open, being late October. The menu is not large but the pizza was fantastic. The pies are not huge, but possibly the best sauce I've ever tasted! We got pepperoni and chicken/broccoli. The reason there are only a few pieces in the photo is because we were so hungry and devoured it before getting a picture lol. The salads were large and a good value: my husband enjoyed the house salad and I had the burrata. We had more than enough left over to enjoy for breakfast the next morning, as well as taking the final few slices along to eat for lunch on another hike. Highly recommend! read more

These guys are masters of their craft. A little hole in the wall place in Campton, I stopped here on a whim and have a new favorite place. It's a small little place but very cozy inside. Only a few seats so takeout is popular. There is outside seating when the weather is warm. We stopped in and got an Osceola and a Special. The special changes frequently but the one we had was with an olive oil base, mozzarella blend, roasted butternut squash, north country smokehouse bacon, herbed ricotta, cranberries, and hot honey. Words can't describe how delicious it was! Their hours are pretty limited, only open Thurs-Sun, so get your weekend treat! read more

For the past 15 years I have been eating the same pizza in the Thornton/Campton area and it has served its purpose. I was excited that a new pizza place was open this year. I had high hopes for this place but I was disappointed. That's not to say it was bad, I was just really hoping it would be better. I called to place an order and I was happy they told me it would be an hour. I was fine with that. The order was just finishing up when I got there, perfect timing on their end and mine. Seven minute ride back to the condo and we have cold pizza and garlic knots. The sauce served with the knots, also cold. The pizza was fine. I like my crust crispy, this was not crispy but is had great flavor. Sauce was very good but there was something off with the cheese. Not sure if they used too much or the texture was just weird. Might have better luck if you eat the pizza at the restaurant. I have had much worse pizza than this place. The pizza is tasty and it is a big upgrade for the area. read more

What a great experience. Looked up a pizza place near where a large group of friends were staying to ski and decided to order here. It was a big order and they got everything spot on, pizzas were hot and fresh ready quickly. We also got some salads and garlic knots which we all enjoyed. We arrived and noticed the size of the pizzas was a little on the smaller side (so keep that in mind!) and decided to add on a couple of pies and they got them cooked quickly with zero issues. Exceptional pizza! I am a Pizza Snob and we were very impressed and can not wait to go back for more. We had the Margherita and a Veggie and both were excellent, well crafted with very fresh ingredients, spot-on seasoning and just the right amount of cheese and veggies. We passed five other pizza restaurants on our way to Tartaglia's and will happily pass them all again on our next trip as well. Finding pizza this good in New Hampshire is difficult at best. This place is just ok. The pizza crust was cooked nicely but the dough was flavorless . It was crisp just like wood fired pizza should be. The sauce I thought was real good. I was disappointed when I got my Margherita pizza and there was hardly any cheese on it. It was placed wherever there was basil... Which there wasn't much of that either. I posted a pic of the pizza. I also got their special pizza of the day. Onions, pesto and bacon. Really lacked flavor and was way overpriced. This pizza was 17 bucks and maybe 12 inches across. I wanted to love this pizza, but it was a little disappointing. I think the two pies we ordered were maybe undercooked because the crust was droopy, not crisp at all. However, we took home leftovers and reheated them in the oven and the crust crisped up and it was much better that way. The crust itself had good flavor and the toppings were abundant, I just prefer a crisp crust. Super pizza and service. We went there a few weeks ago when visiting. We called ahead to let them know we were coming, since we were on a tight schedule. We did have a short wait, but the service was excellent. The pizza, while not quite Hoboken or Brooklyn level, was excellent. Their cheese and sauce were top quality. Very good pizza. We got the Margherita and the Osseola. Great crust, yummy tomato, fresh basil, wish there had been more mozzarella on the margherita. Really liked the sausage, peppers, and onions one. Nicely balanced flavors. We also got the salad which was plentiful and fresh. We enjoyed the dressing. Only word of caution is that the pizzas were small -- a bit bigger than a personal size. We ordered 2 with the salad for a family of four, and it wasn't quite enough. We were comfortable, but not satisfied. My 14 year old, especially, could have eaten another half pie on his own...and my husband and I would have finished the rest! read more
