We got a pizza with anchovies. At first, it looked like they hadn't put any anchovies on the pizza, but that was because the anchovies were placed under the cheese. And not only was there a lot of cheese (even though we had not ordered extra cheese), but there were a lot more anchovies than one usually sees on a pizza. I'll have to try Nick's Place again, but it's contending to be my go-to place for pizza in the Newmarket area. read more

We ordered takeout from Nick's place and there were two bowls. The first was the fajita rice bowl with shrimp and the second was the gobbler bowl. I The fajita bowl was fantastic. Great flavor, fresh vegetables. The shrimp was delicious. I would rate this as a five-star. Gobbler was the worst turkey bowl I've ever had. The vegetables tasteless and old the turkey tough and hard. We ate about a quarter of it and threw it away. The The people are nice and the food was almost on time so there's that and it's just a normal pizza place so nothing about ambiance. We will get a five-star and a one star and everything else is average that tells me it's about a three-star place. We will give it another chance and update this if the future food goes one way or the other. read more

A year or two into operation in Newmarket, it feels like Nick's has hit its stride and worked out the bugs in the back of house. The food is really good. It's pricey compared to Gepetto's, but the portions are larger and I think the food is better. Definitely order early around the lunch and dinner rushes as they can get busy. The atmosphere in the kitchen feels a bit chaotic, but I've never had them get my order wrong. read more

Nick's Place opened a location in Newmarket, in the former McDonald's building with drive-thru. There are several Nick's Place locations in MA (north of Boston) and in Southeast NH. I believe each location is independently operated since the menu and specials vary by location. I did not see the crazy good Wednesday pasta specials offered at this location, but offered at the Raymond location. Their menu offerings are quite extensive offering traditional & specialty pizzas, pizza calzones, pasta dinners, hot & cold subs, roast beef sandwiches, salads, chicken, seafood (baskets, dinners, rolls), fried foods, Mediterranean fare, combo meals, brownies, baklava, and cooler drinks (Coke products). They also offer limited time offerings here. The place is order at the counter and there are a few tables and booths for eating in this former cozy McD space. This location also uses the drive-thru window for takeout and pickup orders. You can also see the menu online and online order through Toast. Just make sure you are ordering from the correct location. I placed an online order while I was still in Portsmouth. I ordered the Fried Clam Strips Basket ($14.99 plus tax) with choice of one side (chose mac & cheese) and a Kids Chicken Tenders with Fries ($10.75 plus tax). My order was bagged and ready for pickup by the time I drove over to Newmarket. The breaded fried clam strips were tender and slightly chewy, tartar sauce provided for dipping. The mac & cheese was the standard al dente cavatappi pasta with an orange cheese sauce. The breaded fried chicken tenders (4) not greasy and pretty good with the sweet duck sauce for dipping. The golden fries were hot and soft. This was a good change from pizza and pasta, which is what I usually order from Nick's Place. The Melezana Pizza is still my favorite. read more

Nick's is part of our food delivery rotation. The menu is huge! Prices are little higher than other places but the portions reflect it. Sometimes the grilled chicken can be a little dry or the nachos greasy, but we're overall pleased with the quality and service. My favorite dish is probably the chicken steak bomb sandwich. Ya know, having a drive up window to get your pizza is such a convenience- one you didn't know you needed but now you have it, you can't go back to getting out of your car to pick up a pie anymore. Solid pizza. A simple pepperoni is my favorite. The pepperoni does that char-cup thing so you get those crispy, salty, greasy bites you so desire. If I'm ordering more toppings I opt for the "well done" option but on a single item pie just go for regular bake. Salad, fried seafood, steak tips, all good. Haven't tried everything (that would take YEARS) but my faves are the Pepperoni Pizza, greek salad, fried shrimp, and Roast Beef. RB has good flavor and texture. I'm from the north shore and I rank Nick's pretty high up there. PLUS I CAN ORDER FROM MY PHONE WHILE IM AT THE GYM AND PICKUP ON MY WAY HOME WITHOUT A TRIP INSIDE ON WOBBLY POST-LEG DAY GAMS. The restaurant itself is not very big, but the menu is huge! We ordered at the counter, and the food was delivered to our table. The employees were all very friendly and attentive throughout. Everything we had was very good with large portions. They make some of their own desserts, which we had to try but take to go since we were all full. Have only tried their delivery or take out service but wow. No matter the location (Newmarket, Raymond, or Seabrook) their food is spot on, big portions , and tastes great. I was skeptical at first just from the sheer size of the menu because of quality or consistency but as I said everything me and my family has tried has been top notch... the easily sub a couple meals a month for us. my son ordered the triple decker sandwiche and was very upset the back was old back very dry. the burger was not 2 burgers but one cut in half and was also very dry the only thing that was good in his meal was the french fries I ordered the honey glased chicken finger sub and I have yet to have it I did end up giving my son half my sandwich cause of his sandwich was very bad I will tell you nicks place is very good and we are not always disappointed just today his sandwich/cheeseburger could of been a lot better read more

I am a newmarket resident and im so happy nicks place has come here. Everything about nicks is amazing the food is so good huge portions and always fast service. All the employees are so pleasent and very polite. I have tried a good amount of items and every one of them have been so delicious.
