Used to be a great place to eat, then they added the bar. Now, it's noisy and they are trying to be upscale with the menu (not working). Service is lackluster. They are slow to take the order, slow to serve and paying is a chore. read more

Never had such a bad pizza. I,m thinking they put the pepperoni on top of the dough, then sauce, then cheese and baked.... very soggy and pepperoni was pretty much absent. Maybe made this way to use less or hide the pepperoni. Will never visit this pizza shop again. Yick! Jr read more

On my way back from a jobsite in Raymond, I made a dinner stop at the G&P Pizzeria in Chester. The place has three separate doors, Door #1 for Takeout, Door #2 for Family Dining, and Door #3 for the Alitis Lounge. I chose Door #2, since I felt like dining in and someone else does the dishes. The dining room has low and high table seating, salad bar, framed art on the walls, plants, and small Greek decorations. The lounge has seating at the bar, high tables, and TV and the takeout counter area is just that. The dining room was busy around 6PM on a Thursday evening, mostly local families here. I grabbed a takeout menu, took a seat at a high table, and the server brought over a restaurant menu. Some of the prices (especially pizzas & calzones) did not match between menus, with the updated takeout menu having higher prices. The menu offers pizza, pizza calzones, salads, appetizers, subs, pasta dishes, Greek dishes, dinner plates, kids meals, and more. The very basic salad bar had 25 items (greens, garnishes, cold salad) and dressings, with minimal stocking for each item. The Moussaka arrived hot 20 minutes later. This dish was pretty good & tasty, very heavy & filling with a big layers of ground meat, potato, zucchini, & eggplant topped with a Bechemel sauce & lots of tomato sauce, served with large buttered garlic bread slices. The service was attentive with the server checking up on me. I had also ordered a large Ham & Cheese Calzone to go (for later on), which was big and doughy (wheat) on the outside & ham & cheese inside, it was okay and not impressed since I'm a NY calzone (with ricotta inside & sides of sauce) kind of guy. No sides of sauce included so I had to use some sauce I had in my kitchen. If you happen to be traveling on Route 102 between Raymond and Derry, where the options for hot food are very limited, then the G&P Pizzeria is a decent family friendly restaurant to stop for pizza, pasta, and dinners at fair prices. read more

G&P used to be our Go-to restaurant. Living in Chester, NH, there isnt many choices. We would get it once a week. It has slowly, but surely gone downhill. The quality of the food, the forgotten condiments and service. Its run by a bunch of kids who dont give a crap that they messed up your order...again. I have taken into account the state of Bidens America where nobody wants to work, but that only goes so far. They have lost my hard earned money. Theres always McDonald's. OK, whoever is leaving 5 star reviews for this place is out of their mind. I've lived in Chester for over 15 years and have dined in and ordered takeout from this place (on an off) for a long time. Every time I go there I tell myself never again. The owner should be ashamed for the Price Gouging and Shrink-Flation he is perpetrating at this Restaurant. I've personally watched his prices skyrocket since the Scam-demic, and his portions have shrunk drastically. He is practicing some bad voodoo here. Not worth the prices at all. They quit making/selling Stuffed Grape Leaves, and I'm willing to bet he uses low grade hormone and antibiotic loaded Chicken to cut his overhead. What a sham. Please wake up and Go elsewhere. G&P Pizza is just hi-way robbery. The tasteless pizzas are overcooked on an automated machine and have shrunk in size as well. Definitely some clueless Biden voters here as he must be paying his waitstaff $20 per hour to serve mediocre food with ever shrinking portions. read more

While house hunting almost 2 year ago, we came across G&P Pizza. The little lady was whining that she was starving, and so were we... so why not give these guys a try. We both had the lunch special (hot sandwich and fries) and the little girl had chicken fingers with fries. All piping hot and yummy. Well after that initial visit, and purchasing a home 3 miles away... G&P has been a staple in our house. They are our usual Friday night pizza place. I am Italian (my dad is straight off the boat) so trying to find a decent pizza is a challenge for us. Even though this is Greek-style, my dad has given them his blessing. So needless to say we dine here often. Our daughter loves their kids menu. I have been on a salad craze with my second pregnancy (steak tip with feta = YUM!) I have not tried the calzones, but hear those are really good. Most of the meals we have tried at one point or another... and we have no complaints. read more

I have driven by this place for years and I finally thought that I would try it. BIG mistake, first of all the counter girl and I call her that because she did not want to be there and could careless about greeting me or taking my order. I ordered a simple Italian sub with cheese, a little lettuce and hots. I asked her to have it toasted. After paying for it, she then told me it was going to be about 15 to 20 minutes. A half hour later I finally received my sandwich. About 15 minutes later as I was still driving home, I thought that I would give my sub a taste. Well...........when I opened the wrapper there was a wrap filled with ham and cheese with everything on it, onions, pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, mustard and hot. This was not an Italian sub, how can you mess up a simple sandwich? The place was not crowded at all, a few people came in to pickup some pizzas. Do not go here, you will not know what you are going to get. I would have to have driven all the way back, now about 20 minutes back to the place, wait another 1/2 hour to maybe get the right food. No thanks. I could have gone to the convince store at the same location and gotten a pre-made sandwich which would have been a lot better than this sub. read more

We live in Chester, so we've eaten at this little place a few times. On the weekends, you can get a nice meal -- the selection may be limited, but what you get is hot and tasty. I also like the Greek offerings on the salad bar, such as olives, mushrooms, little mozzarella cheese balls. However, one Tuesday night we decided to stop in. Big mistake. They had specials listed on the board, but they were out of them. (We could have gotten pizza or one of their pasta dishes, but I wanted the chicken special.) The poor waitress had to keep coming to our table to tell us she was out of things; no baked potatoes, no broccoli, and only one serving of chicken. My husband and I ended up sharing the chicken. It was quite tasty. They also have some tables with tall chairs, which I find uncomfortable. The moral of the story: G&P on the weekends, but not on weeknights. read more

Yes, I love the Nachos Grande with chicken, loaded and delicious! They are very accommodating here and will add extra hots if you like it that way! Very good pizza and the staff works their butts off! The Nachos are way better than T-Bones and Applebees..don't even waste your time at those places. I've learned even the smallest of places can have the best food, like a diamond in the rough but worth the drive into Chester, NH! If you don't want to sit in the noisy pub area on a game night then sit on the resturaunt side and enjoy a family atmosphere! Very Good! read more

Meh... this place is so so. I saw this waitress eating fries off the plate she handed me. Also their pizzas are very small and a little overpriced. Cool names tho but I won't be back Also mr. George E? Why you gotta be so damn salty. People are allowed to give their personal feedback so get over the criticism and either do something positive about it or either don't listen to them and politely disagree. I have been here twice now, and look forward to going back! NH small town local restaurant. There are two sides, the bar and a restaurant side. Both times, I have been on the bar side at a small side table with a friend. The ambiance is dark and cozy on the bar side. The draft beer selection is outstanding. The service is prompt and very nice. The food is typical pub fare. We had wings and calamari for starters. The wings were very good. I would not recommend the calamari. Too deep fried. We also ordered a small pizza, which was good. It was thicker than I expected, which I like. This is definitely a local hang out in rural NH. The bar seats were full at 6pm. The "restaurant " side only had one young family seated. Basic tables and chairs. Not as much character as the bar side. I will be back! read more

I took away a star from my original review because one of the owners was really mean to me. I haven't been back since and will probably not ever go back, even though I really liked that veggie pizza. Not good. The french fries and chicken wings were straqight from the freezer and the greek style pizza was a routine non-descript pie at best. The italian sub was edible but not noteworthy. They did have homemade dolmas and large wedges of baklava on display, I did not sample either of these two items but they did look promising. The owner was very nice in pointing out that their supplier had made a mistake with their wing order and the flavor was different. We use to eat there before if we were driving through.Havn't in a while because the last time the food wasn't good.Ordered a bowl and a cup of French onion soup for my kid,we get 2 bowls and it wasn't even hot. Actually it was pretty gross,luke warm and didn't taste right.We both ordered club sandwiches.Maybe it is a new way of doing it,but i suspect just the lazy way,but they put the fries all over the sandwich...don't get it.If you chance going there,play it safe,just get a pizza...kind if hard to screw that up.If you get the soup take some tums,or you will have gas for 3 days. read more

We have been there 4 or 5 times. Warm weather NO air conditioning last year , went back yesterday 5-12-14 to find air conditioning STILL broken. 90 degrees inside for the dining room. Food is good but you can't sit to enjoy it. We asked to have our food packaged and left. I don't prefer to eating my pizza in a sauna. This is a mainly a locals spot with a great bar but not much else. The cleanliness of the kitchen area is certainly questionable but after a few drinks nobody seems to care. This is the only watering hole is Chester and seems to always be doing very well when I pass by but I would definitely suggest hitting the bar heavily before ingesting any of the food here. This establishment has standard takeout pizzeria fare that is tasty but nothing to rave about. I would suggest trying it for yourself and basing your own opinion on it. read more

Wow! What a gem! Stumbled upon this place on a weekend drive and couldn't have been happier. They had an excellent menu and the prices seemed reasonable. They even had a super cheap special on a small cheese pizza. We ended up getting the small cheese and a sandwich and it was delicious! The pizza was so flavorful, the sauce was excellent, great proportions and it was almost unreal for how cheap it was! The sandwich was also very delicious and I ordered it with chips, expecting just regular chips but got a plate full of delicious homemade chips! Such a great find, a hidden gem! Although the drinks were good, with a nice beer selection and decent service, the food was sub-par. Shrimp scampi had an odd frozen aftertaste, as did the fish and chips. If you eat here, stick to the Greek food or pizza. read more
