Great place overall , we loved our server, and the bar staff were friendly with great service. The drinks were amazing too. However, I do think the management needs to take a closer look at the deeper areas of the building. At first glance, the place appears clean and up to par, but on multiple occasions I noticed what looked like mice/rats roaming around (no typo). The first time was on my way to the bathroom. Another guest saw it too and even asked me, "Did you see that?" I could hardly believe it myself. The second incident happened when I was walking back to my table; near a plant, a small one was moving around, which really disgusted my date. Fortunately, we had only ordered drinks, but the cleanliness in this location truly needs to be addressed. For my review I'm adding 2 stars for that cause fellow people should not expect this, otherwise this would have been a 4 star if not for that experience. read more

The atmosphere was modern and inviting and I felt it is reasonably priced with decent portion sizes. The service however was not great. I sat at the bar and I don't think my sever said 5 words to me other than "are you ready to order". No hello, no thank you, no mid meal check in or to offer to refill my empty beverage. Pretty solid Mexican food. I came here late night for a quick bite, and had a pretty decent time. The service was honestly what stuck out to me - the server was super friendly and prompt despite the late hour. That said, the food itself wasn't much to write home about: the fajitas I got were just OK (heavy on the onions, overly sauced, only a few tortillas) and the side dishes weren't much to write home about. The vibe here is a bit interesting - I got the vibe it leans hard into the bar, and in particular tequila flights. I could see it being a fun place for drinks and a quick snack, but have doubts that I'd come here for a full meal. read more

Christina, the Director of Catering & Events, was very responsive, and answered my many questions kindly & promptly! Antonio, the General Manager, was very welcoming and accommodating to us the day of our event. He made himself available from start-to-finish. Food was excellent. Service was horrible. Incredibly slow (just keep the drinks and chips coming at least!) and most times we had to actually stop staff in their tracks to get any help. My impression was they didn't have enough wait staff. Finally getting around to writing a review for Temazcal in Framingham. Tonight was perhaps our tenth visit there. Frankly, I'm having a hard time understanding the relatively mediocre (3.1, as of September, 2024) rating I see for this restaurant, because we've enjoyed it quite a bit over the years. Note that this isn't a review of Temescal (with an "es" instead of an "az") in Framingham, because that's a marijuana dispensary. If you want Mexican food, go to Temazcal. If you want pot, go to Temescal, and then after the munchies kick in you can drift over to Temazcal if you have a designated driver. We've tried many dishes over the years, and were never disappointed. The only negatives were that: a) the fish tacos are hard to pick up and eat; b) The prices are somewhat high, especially considering that there hasn't been a reduced-price lunch menu. $16 for a guacamole appetizer? I don't think so. Our visits were primarily at lunch, often at off-hours, and the restaurant is spacious and never very crowded, which was great during Covid days. Generally, a rather relaxing atmosphere. Eating outside has actually been less relaxing due to vehicular noise (hey, it's a parking lot), and somewhat intrusive music. The pre-meal chips and salsa are great, especially the bean dip. Some people could easily fill up on the chips and/or supplement with an appetizer instead of getting a main course (hint: my wife can do that, but it doesn't work that way with me). One thing I cannot speak to is authenticity; I'd not be surprised if these dishes are highly Americanized. But they taste good, so that's excellent compensation IMO. We also haven't tried the beverages, so no opinion on those. The main courses have been generous, and we never leave hungry. I've been partial to the fajitas, since I feel like I'm exercising as I assemble each portion. But we've enjoyed enchiladas, fish tacos, camarones al ajillo, chicken mole, and a few other dishes that I've forgotten. Perhaps because of too much Temescal. :-( The service has always been pleasant, so no complaints there. If you live south of Route 9 there are likely to be more affordable, authentic Mexican restaurants that you'd pass on your way to Temazcal (though perhaps not matching its ambiance). But we live north a ways, and plan on continuing to visit Temazcal from time to time. read more

So, I roll up there, and it's super crowded--I have no idea why. Then, I find out they gave away my table. I was honestly shocked because I had eight people with me! I finally get a table, sit down, and wait for two and a half hours. When I get up to go to the bathroom, this random guy bumps into me while carrying some random stuff, and I head to the bathroom only to find myself with the worst diarrhea ever. Five hungry guys descended on Temazcal Tequila Cantina in Framingham. We were promptly seated, and our pleasant waitress arrived quickly. We tried a couple of starters, as we always seem to arrive in a somewhat ravenous state. Chips with sauces arrived swiftly, and as we munched on those, we ordered: * Guacamole tomato, onion, cilantro, serrano chile $12 * Queso Fundido mexican cheese fondue, grilled flour tortilla $10 add: chorizo $2 These were fairly good, and not too spicy for my palette. I'd be fine ordering, or not ordering these again. They were neither memorable nor avoidable. For our dinners we ordered several different meals, and I tasted the following two: * Temazcal Mixtas Grill tenderloin*, shrimp, chicken, chorizo, cipollini onion, jalapeno, sweet mashed $25 * Adobo braised Short Ribs asparagus, sweet mashed, adobo cazuela $23 The mixed grill was much too spicy for me. After a few bites, I wondered if they offered different levels of spiciness here but remained uncertain as I was not asked. When our waitress checked in on how we like our dinners, I said mine was too spicy, but was not offered any response to this. Since I was dining with a group, I didn't voice anything further. My shrimp was very poorly cooked, soggy, limp and very unappealing. It remained on the dish. I would not order this dish again. One of my friends traded some short ribs for my chicken. I found the ribs to be a little dry and tough. Several of my friends thought their dinners were fairly good, one of whom can eat the spiciest food known on the planet. So I'm providing a three-star review, for a dinner experience with mixed results. In general, I was underwhelmed by this visit. Would I give it another try? My BF and I went in for a quick lunch and no one was around for quite a few minutes when it opened. Finally the manager came over and we ordered diet cokes. The table was not cleaned from the night before as there were food particles all over as well as on the seats. The chips were stale and the three sauces looked like the bowl was not cleaned thoroughly. I ordered the steak fajitas and my bf ordered the enchiladas. I just wanna leave a review about my horrible experience at this place, I was out for a birthday dinner for my brothers birthday with my family we get seated we place our order both me and my brother order the same plate "mole enchiladas" we got our food and we both take a bite out of it and start to notice instant itch in our throat so we stopped eating we call the waiter over to ask if our plate contained any nuts and he says it does as we are both allergic to nut we instantly start getting ready to go to nearest ER, the manager comes over first thing he says is "why didn't you inform the waiter of the nut allergy" doesn't even ask if we are okay or need ambulance or any help, he then brings the bill over of our food and still decided to charge us for our plate that we took two bites out of, not once did he feel sorry or showed that he cared, yes I understand we should've informed the waiter of the allergy but last time I ate there our waiter asked before we even placed our order if the table had any food allergies which I feel like is the most proper way to do it cause who would've thought a chicken and rice plate would contain nuts! Temazcal in Framingham is a nice replacement to the old Paparazzi restaurant building. Went on a busy Saturday night a few weeks after grand opening. No reservations, so our party of six waited about 45 minutes for a table. We observed wait staff, front desk, and what appeared to be management at work. It seemed to be frantic and a bit disorganized. Several parties were waiting to be seated, but a dozen or so tables went unoccupied. After we were seated, our wait person Cece announced her training was complete and we were her first table as a waitress. She was friendly and attentive for being a busy night. She made a couple of minor errors which we pointed out, but we liked her. The food was more gourmet Mexican and overall very good. We started with guacamole and salsa with chips. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. Two salsas and a bean dip provided a variety of flavors. Chips were nicely salted, but cold and a bit stale. Dinner included poblano stuffed chicken with mole sauce, short rib tacos, verde enchiladas, carnitas quesadillas and plantains. We fished with flan and churros. I have been here years ago and liked it. Last night we had a pretty bad experience. First, we waited for a good 5 minutes while the front desk staff waited to find us a table in a restaurant with numerous open seats. They placed us next to a larger party, with a chair in the aisle that waitstaff kept slamming into as they walked past us. The waitress took forever to come get our order. The drinks took forever to come. We asked for a water refill and the waitress forgot. We ordered two soup appetizers, one without cheese on the side. They only brought one, and the waitress clearly forgot to put the order in as the second soup came out with the meal. They didn't bring cheese for either soup, which my husband wanted, and they didn't bring it out until he was done with the app. I ordered the salmon tacos as they were tastless and slimey and feel apart while I ate them. My husband did like his fish tacos. The waitress was rude and acted like us asking for the food we paid for was a huge problem to her. When you pay the bill they stand next to you to watch your tip - we wanted to leave a poor tip for poor food and service, but felt pressured which was odd. The nachos were generous, hot, fast, crisp and delicious. I never thought to put portobello on nachos. Damn, that was good. The guacamole was fresh, lively, and well seasoned. It went down fast. The skirt steak tacos were pretty good. Didn't care for the sweetness of the marinade but it wasn't a deal breaker The churros are with a visit alone. Crisp outside, kinda doughy inside. The brownies was just ok. I must try their flan. The cocktails are the real selling point. Bright, fresh, and flavorful with what seemed like a generous pour.
