What a beautiful place. Seriously, it's really well decorated and put together. The food was pretty good. Not outstanding, but still really good. Had vegetarian nachos and guacamole for apps. The nachos were generous, hot, fast, crisp and delicious. I never thought to put portobello on nachos. Damn, that was good. The guacamole was fresh, lively, and well seasoned. It went down fast. The skirt steak tacos were pretty good. Didn't care for the sweetness of the marinade but it wasn't a deal breaker The churros are with a visit alone. Crisp outside, kinda doughy inside. The brownies was just ok. I must try their flan. The cocktails are the real selling point. Bright, fresh, and flavorful with what seemed like a generous pour. Attractive interior decor, nice friendly service, dishes have great presentation - yet nevertheless, the flavors were muted and missing the brightness and liveliness you would expect from a high-end and purportedly authentic Mexican restaurant. The complimentary tortilla chips tasted stale and the salsas, although fresh-tasting, were bland and bite-less (no heat). We started off with promisingly described appetizers of tuna tartare and shrimp seviche but they were surprisingly lacking in flavor. The good: nice ambiance. Chips served with choice of 3 dips. All quite tasty!! The bad: I dislike cilantro (I am the 10% of population for who cilantro tastes like soap). Ordered tacos and specified to skip anything which has cilantro in my tacos. Got served tacos will all cilantro toppings so had to return it. The waitress couldn't provide me anything to eat without cilantro... I left the place hungry... The ugly: complete lack of empathy from the server. "I don't know what u mean when u said no cilantro" Wish I was notified about the lack of food options when we placed the order. This place was such a let down. Service is awful. Our waiter was annoyed we had even walked in. He didn't even greet us, just put water on the table and left. Came back and asked for our order and then left again. Never checked in on us and we had to literally get up and find staff to get a refill. Beyond the service the food is sub par and expensive. Get the Plantains! My husband suggested this place because it was easy to get too and looked pretty. I ordered the carnitas off the the appetizer menu and the plantains and with the amazing chips walked away plenty full. I really loved the carnitas. Still can't used to the pricing of Mexican food here, being from the west I'm used to the best food from taco trucks and tacos are $1 apiece. But again, I get it. Rents high, and it's a chain... and rents high. I took away one star because I ordered a margarita and was rather disappointed in the size of said margarita. Mexican joints are known for the gallon sized margaritas and they gave me a rocks glass and it was $12. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. Knowing it's a "hot new business" decided we should make a reservation. Could not get a reservation for 4 at 6 on Open Table. Had to make it 6:15. When the first one arrived at 5:50, the place was empty, an argument pursued about whether she could sit in an empty restaurant without the rest of the party. The hostess finally relented. When we were finally all there at 5:15, the restaurant was still half empty. Service sucked. Waitress had no idea what brand sparkling water they had, and kept forgetting to check. So I ended up without a beverage for half the evening. The food was horrible. I ordered the chorizo spinach salad. Which arrived without the sweet potato, garbanzo beans, and pepitas $14 is a lot for just some spinach on a plate. The fajitas were just an over cooked mess of peppers and onions. With a few shrimp. The nachos did not look appetizing and the quesadilla was an odd fluorescent red color. It ended up being expensive. Granted we were 4 people - but it was only 2 had alcohol - 2 margaritas, 2 appetizers, a salad and 1 meal. Which is more like dinner for 2. All for $100. read more

This restaurant is fairly new. I recommend going early because it gets packed fast and you may have to wait for seating. The drinks are awesome. The margaritas are even better! Top shelf tequila is available with dozens of the best brands on hand. Top shelf tequila can be expensive keep in mind.. The chips and salsa are excellent and even have corn chips as a gluten free option. There is also a cilantro lime salsa, red chili salsa, and a black bean dip for your chips also. The food is fresh and good portioned. They will make the food as you like. Service was excellent and very kind. There was no rush to turn our table. My wife and I would return. I went to Temazcal last night with a reservation although there were a number of tables open for walk-in's. My parents have gone closer to their opening on a weekend, and they said the wait was too long for them to stay. I love how they have changed the restaurant decorations from what it used to use to be at Paparazzi. We got sat at a booth, which was tight but felt enclosed from the rest of the noise around. We split the chicken nachos, which were great, but I wish there was more guacamole. We all got margaritas, which were all a little too strong for our tastes, but great if you like tequila! I got the picante margarita, which had properly balanced flavors. A little spicy but nice to slowly pace my eating! The tacos mechados was my favorite thing of all that we ordered. The braised short ribs were cooked and seasoned perfectly and complemented nicely by green cabbage and avocado. read more

It is the most tender pork chop around, I also love their take on Mac and cheese, so often is it the same Kraft wannabe, this was a refreshing take. Our entree was Skirt Steak Fajitas served on a bed of onions and peppers and fried chorizo strips and avocado with 4 soft tortillas. Kosher Dilemma: We Love Mexican! Now We Love Temazcal too. Kosher Means No Pork, No Lobster, No Shrimp, No Cheese with Chicken or Beef! What can you eat Kosher style at a Mexican Restaurant? Well, with that for our dilemma we decided to give Temazcal Tequila Cantina a try. Yes, there are fish items on the menu, and like so many restaurants they have veggie options as well. But, are these options worth eating? We started with Margarita's and they had so many to pick from. It was the wife's birthday, so she got to pick, and besides maybe a bit more salt on the rim, it was otherwise a darn good drink. The chips and salsa were very good, although the green salsa was a bit on the sweet side, not too sweet as some think. My complaint here would be the little cups for the three salsas are too small for the chips. For appetizers we ordered the veggie nachos. Vegetables were fresh, cheesy goodness, lots of flavor and very filling. We ordered extra guac, but not sure we needed that. There is no such thing as too much guacamole, right? Then we were so full, we split an order of braised short ribs. They made sure there was NO cheese anywhere on the plate. Was that a long enough time between courses? Nummy and well worth the special prep they did for us to try and be Kosher style. We made that selection after asking about so many of the menu options. Through it all, the patience of the server was unbelievable! "We can do that" "Let me check" "Would this work"... SO sweet! Then the manager came over to make sure that our special needs were met! Again, people here really care and go out of their way to please all. Now stuffed, we were presented with desert menus and offered complementary deserts for my wife's birthday. See the picture of the flan. The texture was perfect, delicious, and you can see the presentation. The place was busy, but not too noisy. Upscale and very nice. Since my last notes a few years back, I've been back to the Framingham location several times. Initially with groups and more recently on my/our own. Each time, the experiences have been incrementally better, so I'm obligated to refine the rating. I haven't ordered the skirt steak again and stand behind that it was not good previously. I have gotten through most of the rest of the menu and have been pleasantly surprised all around... food, drinks, service. The ceviche was very well done and plenty of it, although they've since removed from their condensed, COVID menu. The short rib quesadilla was five stars and served with an acidic slaw and guac to cut the richness. The shrimp fajitas were plump, cooked and seasoned well with a great mix of veggies. I'd also tried a scallop dish that also has been removed from the menu but recall being very impressed by it. Either the quality has improved or maybe I just ordered two things that were very sub-par. The drinks are still bordering on national chain level execution but are enjoyable. The issue isn't the concept but that there's just too much qty of mix-ins on top of the alcohol, which doesn't present quality tequila/mezcal well. Have a large house margarita but skinny down the portion for the more specialty ones to nail the ratios. I might be in the minority on that, too. The service has been very good 7with friendly servers and bartenders. The hostesses have been great through the pandemic and very accommodating with takeout orders. I'll definitely be back and again and am happy to have Temazcal as a close-to-home option. read more

I sat at the bar and ordered the beet salad. I eat a lot of salads and it was unique and delicious. I would have rated the food 5 stars but I have one complaint. The salads have a choice of protein and I chose shrimp. The shrimp were seasoned really well and the flavor was great. The only thing was their texture-they were dry, overcooked and chewy. I don't know if they pre cook the protein for salads and have them sitting around waiting for salad orders, but there's got to be a way to expedite orders while at the same time ensure that the shrimp are plump, moist and tender. read more

First visit here and, overall, we like the place! We went for lunch and were seated promptly. The decor is almost the same as the old Paparazzi at the same venue, with small changes to the upholstery. The complementary tortilla chips and three dips were delish, especially the red salsa!!! They should sell that stuff in jars, I'd happily buy it. We ordered Chicken Fajitas, Fish tacos, Nachos with chicken and kid's Quesadilla. The kid's meals are $7 for 1 Entrée, a side, dessert and a drink. We liked all the dishes we ordered. Two of us shared the fajitas. It was the right quantity for sharing as we are foodies but not big eaters Service(by Cici) was great! One of us has a food allergy and she took it very seriously and checked every dish she was serving us for that allergen/cross-contamination. Will definitely return. read more

Honestly this place was not great. They call themselves a "from scratch" kitchen but I received rice that was clearly leftover and recooked. Also beware- They also used VERY hot peppers as garnish and serve them without warning. When we shared our experience with the GM he told us he "usually pushed the garnish the side." Not very helpful. I had the veggie tacos and they were mostly cabbage. Extremely disappointing. Also, the waiter was unsure of whether the (cold) beans were vegetarian or cooked with bacon. Like somebody said, I'd give it 2,5 starts but 2 is enough. First, on a warm day when we asked to sit outside, they told us that they are not seating anybody out because it will rain. So we sat inside. As we were leaving the rest 2 hour later, there were 3 tables seated outside! So we started off with a lie. Then, the salsa that came with the chips were not good. The green one is weirdly sweet, we didn't touch it at all. The red one is meh. My margarita was okay but I definitely had much better margaritas for cheaper. The tortilla soup was too salty and was mediocre at best. The rest of the food was okay. The enchiladas were dry and didn't have much of a taste. We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm, after a minor delay we were seated a nice booth. And there we sat, for about ten minutes while other servers walked by us without noticing. We finally flagged someone down, who said, "they were just about to stop by" and "they were training" and asked if we wanted chips. She took our drink and appetizer order; the drink took a little long, but the appetizer came out in a good time. We had to flag her down again, to order our entrees. It was about 45 minutes into the meal at this time. She took our order and never came back, we again had to flag her down to order more margaritas and ask for more water. So far, the trainer has not checked in on us. I wasn't until after the food was ordered that the trainer stopped by, and they stopped by once after the food had been delivered. By this time, we were ready to leave, so we again had to flag down the server to get the check. About 15 minutes before we left, a table sat next to ours and the trainer and trainee greeted them immediately and seemed to pay close attention to them. We finally left at 7:45pm. Almost two hours to have some queso, and two entrees on a slow night. The food was pretty good, but is it worth risking horrible service? Probably not. read more

Had a great dining experience here at the bar. The restaurant was fully staffed, drinks were great and the food was delicious. Also, I was EXTREMELY impressed by one of the managers. Despite it being extremely busy he noticed a man at the bar that was over served. He approached the man, told him he couldn't have any more to drink, offered him food and water to absorb the alcohol, and offered to call an Uber for him. Was extremely professional and handled the situation in the perfect way. Kudos! read more
