I am so happy with Diego and his shop. I saw the review about the shop not being open when someone stopped by. He runs a small shop and explained to me that sometimes he works offsite, so he asked me to always text him when I want to come in. He seems to be in more often than not and he's very quick to answer texts and schedule a time to meet. My story: my husband and I have a contract with Geek Squad. I've been very unhappy with their service. I spilled just a tiny bit of coffee on my laptop keyboard (I coughed unexpectedly and fortunately didn't have a full mouth). I wiped it up right away but it didn't matter. It made some of the keypad keys unusable. Geek Squad was fortunately able to back up all the data on my hard drive. They warned that further damage might occur due to the spill. I took it home and the next time I tried to power up, it didn't recognize the other SSD drive. I took it back in, and after looking at it for about 10 minutes the employee came out and told me my laptop was dead. He said they couldn't work on it further because it involved a liquid spill. Then he said it's completely dead--he advised me not to have anyone else work on it, either. (I thought that was strange, but figured he was right about the continuing problem). The laptop is a business one that costs around $2,000, and is the best one I've ever had. It was only 3 years old. It's NOT what I wanted to hear. Next thing I did was to try fixing it myself. I replaced the keyboard. Great. I replaced the hard drive (which I found was still under warranty). Great. I ordered a new SSD drive but that's where my good luck stopped. I installed it, but the computer wouldn't recognize it. In the meantime, I was using the computer with a Western Digital external drive where I was saving all my current work. This went on for about 4 weeks or so. One day, the external drive failed!!! I couldn't believe it! I couldn't access any data. I needed a recovery because I'm writing a book and one very important chapter was on there that I hadn't backed up. I called several local places about data recovery and one place on the east coast recommended by Western Digital. I wasn't sure what to do. For one chapter, I didn't feel like spending "a minimum of $300" which one other Temecula company quoted me. He also said no one else locally could do the job--he ends up getting all the jobs from them when they fail. But Diego quoted less than $100 because I only needed to recover part of the data on the drive. I didn't know whether to trust him--I almost went to the other guy--but I'm SO glad I gave him a shot. Diego recovered all the data on the drive and gave me more data back than I asked for. He continued to save the data for awhile on his computer in case I forgot to tell him about something I needed. I told him about what happened at Geek Squad and also that I couldn't get my SSD drive to work. He was not concerned about damage done by the spill. He checked out the SSD drive and showed me that it was burnt out (I may have done that by putting it in the wrong way--I discovered that later while trying to find out why the new one didn't work--it didn't come with instructions, shame on SanDisk!). Diego then installed a new 1 terabyte hard drive for me to give me more storage since I couldn't get an SSD to work (the slots are bad, too--I can't just install another one). He explained that I shouldn't trust the WD easystore drive I had been using--he sees them breaking all the time. He explained that SSD drives are nice but it costs a fortune for data recovery on them if they crash. He kept me informed about everything he was doing with the laptop and when he would be done with the job. He was done when he said he would be done. When I asked him about the Geek Squad telling me not try to have it repaired (since I was still concerned about that), he told me why he didn't believe that was valid. He didn't see any reason not to install the new 1 T hard drive. He was right. I now have my laptop back and it's working better than ever because the new drive is solid state--faster. I know very little about computers. I didn't even know what a hard drive looked like before all this happened. I didn't know what an SSD was. I just learned how to try to work with it using Youtube videos. I'll never try to repair a computer again after what happened with the SSD (either I burnt it out or the coffee did or both--not sure). I will always take my computers to Diego as long as he's around. I trust him completely. A friend was with me the 2nd time I went to his shop and even she thought he was great. She commented that he took so much time to help me and he was so friendly and positive the whole time (I accidentally knocked my external drive off his counter while it was backing up after 20 hours and he didn't even get mad. He just started it over and said accidents happen (I was mortified)! His pricing is excellent. I trust him completely. read more

I only write reviews for places that are outstanding so I wanted to write one for here. My old computer was a mess so I bought myself a new one and decided to give the old one to my 7yo. The guys here diagnosed the problem fast, upgraded it and had it working better than new and for a fraction of the price of a new computer. Flash forward a year and my now 8yo knocked it off a counter on to a tile floor. Great set of guys running the store! Transparent and they listen. Went in and told them exactly what was wrong with my Mac. Apple was a 2 hour wait and did not feel like waiting. Got here, they had the laptop opened within 5 minutes of walking in the door. They popped it open adjusted the flex cable for the screen and it worked again! (Had this issue a previous time which Apple claimed to fix - so I knew the cable just needed adjustment). Super friendly and even though I did not need a repair, I asked for pricing. I was looking for someone who can fix my 15 year old Mac Pro. They replaced my hard drive, and they were able to transfer some of my files. When I p-icked up my computer, I was having a problem logging into my computer. I called them up, I was told to bring my computer in. My grandson spilled water on my MacBook Pro a couple of months ago so I saw the awesome reviews. So I had my grandson drop the MacBook Pro off to these guys. After two failed logic boards and a month later I get my computer back and it still does not work. They told me they put new parts into my computer buy, I later found out that they were used parts that came with a 90 day warranty. I then took it to Apple and what would have been almost $800 at Temecula laptop repair cost me $575 at Apple and, a one year warranty. Apple had it done in 4 days. These guys had it for 2 weeks. I am not impressed by their customer service. On the positive side, they seem to know about other computers but, I would not recommend this place for your apple products. They are not the quickest for repairs either. Update regarding Temecula laptop repair: if this is the computer repair shop across from Target, then I have the right place! I may be 80 but, my mind still works fine. You should be ashamed of yourself for acting like you have no idea about your ill work and customer service. read more
