Our friend Pablo says that J&W Lumber is the way Home Depot and Lowe's used to be. It's a real lumber yard. We were able to find things at J&W that are not even available anywhere else around Murrieta. We were assisted by Shawn, who was knowledgeable, courteous and on top of it all. Very pleased! .

He spent as much time as I needed in selecting a little over 95 linear feet of wood. It is for door casings and baseboards with the finished wood to be the star of the detail. They had what I was looking for when all of my normal haunts in LA County didn't. It was worth the two hour drive (one way) to get it. However, they no longer will "rip" the wood for you. Also when I arrived too late on a Saturday and left a voice message, someone was kind enough to return my call. I was there about 3 hours.
