These guys can't cut your lumber right Asked them to cut their 16ft 2x4 red wood by 4 feet to fit in my car. They said they could only do 8 feet. I said ok and they apparently don't know how to cut 8 feet . Looks like they eyeballed 8 feet down the middle . Wont be going back after spending almost 60 dollars on that. Awesome customer service! I came here yesterday after work to get crown moulding and baseboards for our new house and I was immediately helped out by a young man (forgot his name but he has a shaved head and is very knowledgeable of the products). They have a wide selection of products and the price is phenomenally cheap for their elegant design! We ordered with Yesica and purchased our special order of crown moulding with Monica. These ladies were great, helpful and quick with our purchase. Please don't waste your time here. I made several calls to see if they could cut my wood that i purchased in store. They said yes and that it would be a dollar per cut. So, i go buy the wood and the guy that cuts the wood is not there (they said he would). I wait for the next time they said he would be there. I show up and he's not there again. Next they tell me it will cost $36 for 3 cuts. Spoke to several people with different answers. Wasted so much time and now i have to try to cut these 1x4 on a table saw. Very dissapointed. read more

Went there on a Saturday afternoon, thinking that a smaller place would give me better service than Home Depot as I needed help with a plumbing problem. Store was practically empty, which was great thinking I would have no problem getting help. There were two employees just talking to one another behind the counter and I asked them if they could help me. They said no and called for a aisle clerk to help me. Up came a teenage kid who knew absolutely nothing about plumbing. I asked if he could show me a sleeve and a coupling, and he said "let's just look at the parts and see what we find". Everything I was told to buy had to be returned. I will stay with Home Depot or Crown Hardware going forward. I recommend the same. read more

I've never done a yelp review but I had to make one on the customer service experience I received here I went to the Ganahl on lake forest usually I go to the Capistrano Beach one just because it's a lot closer to where I live.. it's was my first time and last time here.. so I walked in and first one I saw was a short girl with weird red hair and asked her if she can point me into the paint counter which she did. Waited a bit then I went back to see if someone was available to help me and she said to give her a min with some attitude and rolled her eyes at me and as I turned around I'm not sure if it was towards me or another customer she said "stupid customer" which left me speech less what type of customer service is this?!? So I left and I'm never stepping a foot on this Ganahl hopefully her manager can set this straight!! read more

I was not going to make a complaint but the guy named Ruben at the lumber section was very rude and changed my mind...This guy just sit at the lumber carrier truck and didnt help to carry the lumbers to my van.... I have been to several ganahl stores and always get help by the employees but this guy was just repeated saying "i dont know" when i asked him if this were part of his job. He was just asking about my racial background which i dont understand why he asked.... Good thing there was a guy named 'Taylor'(Looks like somewhere between Justin Turner & Conan O'Brien) was very kind and helped me to find the right lumbers and cut out for me.
