How anyone can give Denim & Diamonds less than five stars is beyond me. Okay... I'll give you an out. If you hate dancing, don't come! If you hate friendly people, don't come! If you hate cheap drinks, don't come! If you hate country music, don't come! Otherwise, go there!!! This place reminds me of old-school fun bars back in the eighties where dancing--and a bit of drinking--are the highlight of your week! All ages are there from 5:30 to 9:30! Seriously!!! From 21 to 99!!! After 9:30, it gets a bit too loud and busy for me, but that's not the club's fault. I just can't take too much partying anymore. lol' Highlights!!! No cover before eight--unless it's a holiday. Drinks are crazy cheap before eight. Free two-step, country swing classes Wednesday and Saturday at 6:30 Free line dancing classes all night--just watch and learn. People are so fun and friendly. They'll help you. There's also pool tables off to the side...and get this--barstools and tables!!! Yep, they actually allow you to sit down unlike all those clubs in Scottsdale that charge you to rent a table. I visited last night and unfortunately noticed that I was charged twice for my tab. I'm hoping it was an honest mistake, but it was frustrating to discover. The overall experience there last night was good. One experience that was not great at all was I was trying to get a drink from the bartender. I believe her name was Brianna right when you walk in the door, she asked what I want. I let her know and as I'm getting my wallet out even before she gets the bottle out she tells me to hurry up we have people waiting and I turn around and there's only one person behind me. Drinks were 50 cents each but does require a $6 minimum to use a credit or debit card for your tab. I grew up in the area but moved before I was 21...so last night was my first time there. I unfortunately left my debit card on the clip board they hand back to you with the receipt. Since the hours say that they open at 6.i walked in and was met with a super rude manager who gave off queen in a small pond vibes. She said, "I don't have time for this shit, how did you even get in here, you're gonna have to just wait until we open"...I waited patiently for her (literally just stood there) to get my card. About 10 minutes later she walked towards me but it was not to address my concern or to help me..it was to let everyone in line in...she gave me a smirk and walked away. eventually she called the host to give her the okay to assist me... the host handed me my card that apparently was behind the counter the whole time. It wasn't inconveniently in an office or behind the bar, it wasn't a time consuming effort to go find my card. Idk I worked in the food industry for 10 years and I've worked in bars too. The people that would come in and hope their card was there were always so relieved and already felt stupid for leaving it. It was a weird and unnecessary experience....people need to do better read more

I had an absolutely amazing time dancing and learning steps with my Dad. Its his favorite place. The instructor was kind, the other patrons also helped us learn - we just wish it was more old country music instead of changing into a dance club at 10pm.. Wow, this night club and lounge is FIRE. Me and my girl do not do the night club scene often, but when we do, we have fun and get our grooves on. I drink and she doesn't, which is cool. But I only drink when going out. We were in Mesa recently , and we wanted to go out. She is still really younger than I am. Mesa is a city full of college young people neat her age. So we wanted to go out and socialize with strangers and all. People are friendly at this nightclub. You don't see lots of fights and drunk people being kicked out, like you would in Phoenix, Gilbert, and Scottsdale. Cops are vigilant here, and observant. Love the drinks and music they play here. Great dancing place, it can get crowded so go early if you want space. They offer free dancing lessons at 6:30. Dan, one of the instructors, is a great teacher and is super helpful regardless of your skill level. Staff is friendly. Overall good vibes. I wish they'd open the back more often, but I understand why they don't as it would likely require more security that they are restrained by. read more

There's no food except the food truck outside. So take that into account before you arrive. Otherwise, this is a just a great place to come and enjoy yourself with some line dancing, beers and good company. The crowd is great and the dance floor is fantastic. Had a great time on our trip out West. We live in Arkansas and a comfortable night club for Dancing is getting hard to find. We always try to include dancing as a major part of our trip. We arrived early , Got a great table. We got a couple waltzes and some 2 steppin in before the Club filled up. Drink specials were awesome. This was our 5th night club within 9 days and 2200 miles. The early crowd was older, Retired middle class. We felt right at home. the vibes are okay... but as someone with any type of diabetes or low blood sugar disorders do not come here. after dancing and spending over $60 bucks in one hour i asked the bartender at the bar in the way back for a little bit of pineapple juice or soda because my blood sugar was dropping and i didn't feel well for her to tell me that i needed to pay for it and i said i get it do they accept apple pay and she said no it was a $6 minimum and asked if i wanted to purchase two additional water bottles for a shots worth of pineapple juice. i will say- the security guard at the front of the building noticed i wasn't feeling great and got me something to drink since my card was at the other bar across the room. read more

It was my first time coming in here on a Friday night. I have to say it was honestly different for someone of my age bracket. The staff was very friendly, product knowledgeable and professional it's a great place to come in and hangout if you're looking for a one night stand no matter what age you are. However it was a little pricey for beer I just don't think this place was for me. We live in az we had guest's visiting took an uber to Denim and diamonds and they wouldn't let my husband in because he was wearing a harley davidson button down shirt with no sleeves ( purchased that way) but girls with their butt cheeks hanging out and boob's were totally fine to enter. If you are young, 20 and 30 something, then this place is for you. I used to come here years ago and my how it's changed. Practically every song is dance. Country songs are few and far between. Line dancing is what most of the dances are and that gets old if you just want to get on the floor and dance without being part of the line. This place has changed and now that I'm older it's not my scene anymore. The ladies used to walk around and go to your table to see if you wanted one of their special shots. Not anymore. Now they just walk in circles hoping someone stops them. Not a fun time in my opinion. read more

Came here because there was a free dance lesson from 6:30-7:30pm on a Wednesday night. The instructor taught us how to East Coast Swing. He was very good at what he was doing and interactive with the class. The dance floor was right in the middle of the place with bars on both sides. I'm not sure if they serve food, but the drinks are cheap and the service is great! Would recommend coming to this country dance bar if you love free dance lessons and Southern feels! Dance lessons are offered every Wednesday and Saturday. People of all ages were present, must be over 21 though. read more

I came here as an out of town guest. The friends I came with were expecting 50 cent drinks until from 8 pm to 10 pm. It was advertised on Facebook. The bartender told us they were only half price and they didnt do the 50 cent special during "event nights". Then I spotted this huge 6 foot long banner on the wall behind us, for an event next week, stating both half price AND 50 cent drinks next week from 8 pm to 10 pm. It seems like someone in this business needs the drink specials clarified. It was really irritating to LITERALLY 100+ people who were expecting the normal Saturday night "early bird" special. I was in line waiting for the doors to open. As the doors opened and everyone walked in I went to the bathroom. Someone walked into the bathroom behind me (normal) but when i was in the stall i heard footsteps stop behind me. I noticed there was a man waiting outside my stall. I waited till he left however when i walked out of the bathroom i was met with an older white man who obviously did not work there tell me I need to leave the manager said so. A couple Meetup groups I'm in have enjoyed coming here for country dancing for awhile so much that I finally made the trek to far-east Mesa for an evening out with friends to (supposedly) do a lot of line dancing. What they fail to advertise is it's mostly couples/two-stepping/West Coast swing which I'm not terribly comfortable doing. After awhile (6-8 couple songs, roughly) they will play one or two line dance songs and go right back to couple songs. One of the guys took me out on the floor and I managed to not make myself look a foo' for too long. It's a fun and diverse crowd all out for a good time though. You can't beat their affordable drink specials on the weekend until ~11pm. One of their bartenders remembered me the entire night and I never had to repeat what I wanted. Closer to midnight they started playing pop & rap songs too as the crowd got younger.... songs that are maybe a little more my style. Probably worth another trip soon! read more
