We live a block away and finally tried this place after hearing great things over the past couple years. It was a huge disappointment to say the least. We sat at the bar around 10 PM, despite the bar advertising being open until 2 AM and serving late-night food online. We were served by Cece, who was blatantly annoyed that we asked for and ordered cocktails directly off the bar's menu. She rolled her eyes, made faces, and acted irritated about having to make them, especially when she had to grab ingredients from the kitchen. After setting our cocktails down, she looked at the drinks, then looked back at a group of people she clearly knew sitting next to us. They all said "I know" and scoffed as she rolled her eyes and walked away. It was obvious we were being mocked for ordering. We were told the kitchen was closed, yet 10 minutes later those same people were brought, fries, and mozzarella sticks. During this time, Cece loudly complained about how much she hated working there and her co workers and mocked another customer who was upset about not being served food right in front of us at the bar, all while my drink sat empty for 15+ minutes without being acknowledged. She only checked on us after I stared at her long enough for her to ask if I wanted another drink. We said no and asked for the check. She dropped it face down, visibly annoyed, and walked away. My girlfriend and I have both worked in the service industry for over 10 years, and this was actually the worst, most uncomfortable service we've ever experienced. Came here to celebrate a good friend's birthday and one of our girlfriends had recommended this place. I had been here back on October 6, 2024 to see Radio 80's and had so much fun, the place was packed. This time was for drinks and dinner with my Tribe lol. A nickname my ex had given us girlfriends a very long time ago and it has stuck with us. My friend made a reservation for 7pm and there five of us including myself. We started off with their Espresso Martini that was very delicious and we had quite a few of those and I also had the Dirty Dirty Olive martini as well. We all ordered the following: Wedge salad, spinach salad, coconut shrimp, cajun steak bites, fried flounder tacos, fried fantail tiger shrimp and the prime rib special. I was really excited for the wedge salad and was a bit sad it was not dressed up like in the picture on their site, which was one reason why we ordered this salad. This was still good, but could have used a bit more pralines, tomatoes and bleu cheese. Now the coconut shrimp was soooo good! These were the best coconut shrimp in the area in my opinion. We two plates of four huge pieces that were nicely coated with the coconut batter and the sweet chili aioli was really good. I wish they had given us more on the side but then again the shrimp did not really need it. The flounder tacos were huge!! We had two orders and should have really just shared one order. These were fried nicely and was nicely coated with a delish batter. Definitely want to get this again. Everyone enjoyed their food and then we ended the night with a Brownie sundae that was so rich and good! We enjoyed every bite! Tiffany the owner had stopped by our table a couple of times to check on use and she was so sweet. Taylor was our waitress and she was amazing and was always making sure our waters were filled and if we needed anything. I would so ask for her again! I actually dined in the restaurant for the 1st time. Delicious! There was 3 of us and my mom was in a wheelchair and they were so good to her and accommodating. It was so hard to decide what to choose on the menu. It all sounded so good. We ended up sharing a Tempt Salad, Margherita Pizza and some bread. So good and it was the perfect amount of food for 3 people without getting the dreaded food coma. The Tempt salad was simple and fresh with dressing on the side that was soooo good. We all commented on the dressing. The pizza had 6 slices and was delicious and pretty. Fresh basil on every slice and perfectly cooked. Even the bread was good. I was super impressed on this first visit to Tempt. We stopped in around 10:30pm for late night eats after a 2.5 hour movie at the Beach Cinema. Larger inside than I expected with a large bustling bar area (loud and crowded on a Saturday night) and a small seating area on the right with a pizza oven. The menu is huge and the kitchen is open until 11pm. I saw several things I'd love to try on later visits. Which is always a plus! This time we went with several smaller things - wedge salad, side of fries, a slice of cheese pizza, and the Tuna Pad Thai entree. The bartenders proceeded to take TWO of my coworkers IDs and refuse to give them back claiming they were fake. After multiple attempts to prove identification, they finally served them... a non alcoholic drink and lied saying it was alcoholic and tried to charge as such. Steak and key lime pie was really good! They have a brick oven for pizzas. Crazy to say, but they have the best filtered water. Server was awesome and sweet. My only complaint was how noisy it gets. Which is why I didn't give 5 stars . The bar side is super noisy. And the restaurant side started to fill up and was pretty noisy as we were getting ready to pay. I can't believe it took us so long to finally come here. My husband and I are plant based/vegan and at first we thought all we could have was the chimichurri pasta, which was fantastic by the way! Then we saw we could get their stone oven pizza with the choice of vegan cheese. My husband opted to not do the vegan cheese (or any other cheese) and instead got the margarita pizza with mushrooms and got a side of the chimichurri sauce to put on top. It was delicious! The only thing prompt about our visit here was being seated to our table. It was a very slow night when we arrived, even on a Saturday as there was only 2 other tables being waited on in our section. We started off with some cocktails, and I enjoyed their seasonal cocktail, which was the apple cider mule. We ordered some oyster rockefeller to start out with and I ordered a side salad and the flat iron chimichurri for my dinner entree. It took a really, really long time for us to get our food. I don't know about the others, but my entree came out rather cold. Because we had already waited so long, I didn't bother saying anything about it. Our server was Cecilia, and although she was friendly she didn't acknowledge the long wait it took for us to get our food. I always drive pass Temp but have never been into this restaurant but finally being able to try this place out because it is one of my boyfriend's favorite place and it is his birthday. When we walked in the bar is on our left side amd it is crowded. The bartender tell us that can can sit ourselves anywhere so we went to the right side of the restaurant which is quite and empty. It's pretty nice that you can pick the left side (bar area) if you want to chill and have some beer, which you can also pick tge right side for a nice dinner with you family/friends/partner(We barely heard people on from the bar area). Our nice and handsome server(sorry boyfriend!) greeted us and we ordered the Flat Iron Chimichurri(Medium on steak) and Oysters Rockefeller x2, and a bottle of William Hill Chardonnay. We didn't order any entrees because we just shared these appetizers since we spent bigh momey on the bottle of wine! The Flat Iron Chumichurri is a bomb. I've never had Chumichurri but it tasted like pesto(which I googled it it isn't but you got the idea of what it tasted like). The steak is flavorful and it fits perfectly with the steak and sweet potato fries(that comes with it). The sauce is too good so we didn't have enough for the fries so I asked our server for mayonnaise to dip the rest of the fries(which my boyfriend judged me about it until he tasted it and likes it haha). The Rockefeller is great too. I'm more a fan of raw oysters so I don't feel much about it but my boyfriend said they are the best Rockefeller he has ever had. Both appetizers are $14 so as most of the other appetizers so it is a really good place to share appetizers with family and friends, and of course your partner. We had a party of 8 and most of us ordered the Flat Iron Chimichurri and all of them were cooked at the wrong temperatures. Some of us wanted medium and ended with medium rare. Others want medium rare and it was over cooked. One person ordered nachos and it was delicious. All in all, it was a nice atmosphere and the server was nice plus did her best to fix everything. I'm giving this spot 3 stars because the food was actually good and the waitress was very kind. The problem was I asked for my salmon to be cooked well done (I had a traumatic experience with under cooked salmon at different restaurant years ago and I mentally can't enjoy undercooked salmon anymore). AMAZING! I hated the Gorgonzola cream that it came with but my boyfriend loved it so different strokes I guess. We came to Tempt that night because I was craving a grilled fish and rice dish. Once we looked over the menu, the salmon and whipped potatoes was the closest I was going to come. I overemphasized that I needed the salmon to be well cooked. I believe our waitress relayed the message but I don't believe the kitchen followed instructions. Now salmon is my favorite fish dish so I literally order it everywhere I go to the point where I have to pep talk myself into "not ordering the salmon this time." I have NEVER had to send back my dish. This time the fish came out grossly undercooked. I tried to eat it anyway but about 4 bites later I felt like I was force feeding myself just to avoid sending it back. I'm a strong believer in NOT sending food back. The waitress offered to "put it back on for a little while longer" but the salmon was already soaking in a bed of avocado cream and whipped potatoes (amazing might I add). Plus, I had already taken a few bites and it just didn't sound sanitary. Needless to say I just sent the food back but didn't get any replacement. My boyfriend enjoyed his fried shrimp and macaroni dish. I am willing to return and order something different because outside of the salmon everything else was perfect. I have been wanting to go here because I've been to the Plant Bar several times, and it's located in the same shopping center just a few blocks from the beach. It looks very cute from the outside, and I made a reservation for a Saturday evening dinner with friends. When we got there, the host couldn't find our reservation, but she quickly adapted and was able to find a seat for us in the lounge area. I liked sitting here because we were at a high-top table right next to the bar. I took a peek at the dining room, and it looks very nice as well. They have a good wine and cocktail list, and I had a glass of Pinot noir while the other people in my group had cocktails. We were all pleased with our drinks. I had the salmon for dinner, which came with two sides. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and I had their sweet potato fries, which were amazing, as well as their black beans and rice, which were also very good.
