Thrilled I finally got to try out Love Song. I've walked past daily; always busy with a charming vibe. They didn't disappoint! Sitting at the bar felt like having a culinary front row seat; no barrier between kitchen and guest, just pure energy and creativity on display. The bartender was a delight, with plenty of good recommendations to guide the night. Every dish was created with intentionality had flavor in abundance (sometimes a little too much, looking at you Dijon-packed clams ) Luckily the baguette balanced things out some. But the star of the evening? The duck breast. Perfectly cooked rice, rich au poivre, and just the right amount of indulgence. Something I'd easily order again. Great music. Beautiful vibes. Delish food. Superb wine selection. And truly wonderful people. What more can you ask for? Would definitely come back.

One of my top spots in Virginia Beach, even in Hampton Roads. Food is always fantastic and high quality. They have really great, underrated happy hour, as well. Service is welcoming and efficient, cocktails are good and I love the atmosphere. Get the duck, the cod fritters and definitely the beef tartare if they have it!

I went to love song earlier this week for drinks and appetizers, and it is a true gem in Virginia Beach! it was very cute on the inside, it would be perfect for a date night or if you go to the back of the restaurant to the bar, it would be perfect for fun, casual drinks with friends. The menu is well curated, we got the fish dip and it was so good! All of the cocktails were great, I will be going back!

Second visit here. Food is unique but creative and delicious. Tried out their happy hour today. The $8 happy hour drink of the day had waterman's strawberry vodka and was very good and HH smoked fish dip was delicious for a great value

Super cute place to attend with friends! I love the moodiness and the staff is kind and so helpful with questions.

Nice place. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout our dinner. The menu is small compared to other places, which I can appreciate. A smaller menu often means better food. Which was the case here. Everything was good, but the clear winners were the 1/2 roasted chicken and the olive cake. Give it a try if you're in the mood for a unique experience!

Super warm greeting when we entered and it is much larger inside than I expected. We were easily sat at a nice table off the bar and reviewed the limited menu. Loads of drinks and a huge wine list - but food options are short. I like that our server said the food changes out often bc they try to only use what they can locally source. My diet is somewhat limited right now and I can't eat raw fish or fish eggs and limiting mercury and such so most of the fish, duck, etc. dishes weren't for me. I didn't see a salad aside from a beet salad and I hate beets. So we went with a toast, cheese and peach jam option and a few drinks as apps before we went on with our night somewhere else. I, a non-drinker for my entire life, saw a limited non-alcoholic menu but appreciated the effort to include two mocktails and NA options. I decided to go with a grapefruit, cinnamon agave, and lime soda drink and it was STELLAR. Not too sweet, minimal carbonation, loved the grapefruit and cinnamon - probably the best mocktail I've had in a while. In the end, we loved it and will be back again to try entrees. Service was excellent and they were pretty busy on a Wednesday at around 7pm. We saw the back room where they feature parties and special events and were equally as impressed by that. A small gem in the area for sure.

Absolutely love Love Song! The drinks are fantastic, and it's my go-to spot on Friday and Saturday nights for a laid-back bar vibe. I especially enjoy when they host events, like the vintage pop-ups from Moon and Skye Co.--always a blast and such a fun experience! You really can't beat this place for happy hour. The staff is incredibly kind and consistently amazing. 10/10 every time

I've had my eye on Love Song for quite awhile and I am so happy I made it there for my birthday. We were seated immediately at a cute table against the wall. I was immediately in love with the vibe. Our server was knowledgeable and cheery, we really enjoyed her service. I started the evening with an "Everything's Fine" Cocktail. Let me tell you...that was a well made drink. Well balanced with a complexity that stays with you after every sip. Amazing! To share, my Fiancé and I ordered the Cod Fritters. MMM MMM MMM. Hella good. Battered and fried to perfection, the cod literally tasted heavenly. I ordered the NY Strip with potatoes & kale. Yes Love Song, sing it to me, that steak was amazing. Nye' ordered the clams and although she didn't love them, she reports that the dish was great, just not for her. I love LOVE SONG. I will be back very soon!

This charming wine bar is tucked away in an ordinary looking strip mall of sorts on a busy street, perfectly hidden from tourists (unless they are Yelpers lol). The menu offers a tasty mix of reasonably priced food and drinks. Our bartender, Morgan, chatted with us and kindly offered me a sample of a drink before I ordered.

This is hands-down one of the most hidden gems of Virginia Beach. It's a super small location on a tiny strip right next to the beach. Parking is a little bit hard to get because it's only street parking so I did have to go around the block a few times but once I found parking it was definitely worth it. Walking in it felt very welcoming and I loved the lights and colors of the restaurant as well as the open kitchen set up. If you're comfortable with sharing a table they have communal tables and seats at the bar but you can also choose to wait at their dive bar at the back of the restaurant for a table to be open, which is what I decided to do. The dive bar was also super cute and a great waiting area to grab a few drinks. once we got a table, the waitress was very welcoming and the menu was awesome because there were a lot of options for vegetarians, as well as non-vegetarians, because I was with a friend that was vegetarian, we decide to get everything that had no meat and thing in its own way. also, I just want to say that the drinks were amazing as someone that doesn't have alcohol. I really appreciate it that they're mocktails were so delicious and they actually had choices for me. We started with the cheese and olives, and I really liked that. Everything was shareable during the experience. after that we got a mushroom toast and it was phenomenal. The crunch of the bread with the warm seasoned and sautéed mushrooms were divine after that we had a soup and it was so nice that the waitress ahead of time got a separate bowl so that we could share the soup. I do wish that the portion size for the soup was a little bigger since there were four of us sharing, but it was definitely perfect for the cold weather. We also got a salad that was very unique with beets and mint and devoured that. Our last entrée was a gnudi and that was also super delicious with the sauce they made for it. definitely be coming back to try other things based on the season for their menu. we definitely couldn't leave without getting desserts of course so we got the banana pudding cake as well as the olive oil cake and I really enjoyed both especially the olive oil cake because the last place I tried it did not have a good ratio and I haven't had an olive oil cake in over a year but this place definitely did a very good job and I love olive oil cake again so thank you. Highly recommend everyone go try this at least once !

After our tasting, we decided to sit down and order one of our longtime favorites: the short rib with mashed potatoes and vegetables. We hadn't had it in a few months because the last time was an epic fail, but we figured we'd give it another shot. As always, the pretzel bread and butter were a highlight -- that part never misses. The entrée, however, was another disappointment. The vegetables were noticeably undercooked -- still hard and crunchy -- and the dish came out with barely any sauce, even though I specifically asked for extra. For a short rib dish, you expect that rich, flavorful gravy to tie everything together... and it just wasn't there. A manager did come over after I pointed it out, and she genuinely tried to make it right, which I appreciated. We were offered another meal to take home, but at that point we were honestly just over it. To end on a positive note, I tried the Banoffee Pie for the first time (recommended by the manager), and it was actually really good -- rich, sweet, and worth trying. I also ordered their chocolate cake to go (which I usually love), but when I got home, it wasn't in the bag. I had to call for a refund, which they did handle -- but it just added to the overall frustration. At this point, it's become a pattern. When I first started coming here over a year ago, everything was consistently great. Lately, though, the dinner experience has been more miss than hit. We'll absolutely continue coming back for the wine tastings -- those are still top-tier. But for dinner? We're done trying.

We asked where the grapes came from and she explained that some came from Chile, some from California (I believe) and other places, and that she blends them here. (This would be expected with no attached vineyard.) The place was very clean, and the restrooms were easily accessible and spacious. The price of the flights was a mere $5 for six communion cup sized samples -- you choose 6 of I guess 12 - 15. Mulled wine is a welcome option on a winter day. The disappointing: While there is a good assortment of wines, and many were on the good side of okay, none stood out and said BUY A BOTTLE OF ME. The fruity sweet wines were VERY sweet, not really good for dessert wine or sipping. (Sorry.) But again, the reds especially were drinkable and pleasant.
