The red bean was good but it was a little too sweet for me. I have occasionally visit a few times over the years. It was pretty busy almost all the time. They had a 2 for $10 deal on certain drinks and so my sister and I decided to try 2 new drinks. We got the Iced caramel milk tea and iced apple oolong tea. The iced apple oolong tea basically tasted just like apple juice and the iced caramel milk tea was really good! It had a unique taste I've never tried before which was interesting. Both drinks didn't come with any toppings of their own so you had to pay extra if you wanted any. They also had a self-serve kiosk which is new and I think newly implemented as I've never seen it before. read more

I sometimes visit TenRen's Tea for a refreshing drink, so I decided to stop by this location, but it was a big disappointment. I ordered the Largo Hokkaido Milk Tea with grass jelly, which turned out to be very watery with hardly any flavour. Towards the end, I tasted something resembling milk jelly, which was definitely not what I ordered. This strange addition made the drink even less enjoyable. I ended up throwing it away without finishing it. The service was also lacking, and there was no seating area in the shop. I would think twice before visiting this location again. read more

Highly reccomend for good slush boba! This is my sister and i's fave boba location! Ever since i started working in Square one, i always get bubble tea here. We ended up being obsessed haha! They were not in service majority of the pandemic which i understand and because they are inside the mall. They recently opened along with other businesses for stage 2. We couldn't be any more than happy! I was able to order our favorite aka strawberry slush. It was just that day, i noticed that strawberry slush is caffeine free when i was ordering! What, that's so cool?! I also asked for extra tapioca because that's how my sister liked it. Surprising they gave in a cute reusuable cup and i regret i didn't buy myself either when i was getting one for my sister haha! If you have a tenren's app or associate with benefit program, they give you a receipt and stamp a code. You keep it until you come back next time, so you can fill your points in. I thought this place was pretty good. I drink specialty drinks like water. So I went through it pretty quickly and it's been a while since I had it. So I cannot review it very accurately apart from my memory. What I will share is, I do enjoy how Ten Ren is a mix of specialty tea retailer that sells sets of cups and iron kettles and teas, as well as tea drinks. Incredibly generic boba, nothing special whatsoever. I ordered the Hokkaido milk tea which was pretty standard. Not quite sure what made it Hokkaido milk tea since it tasted like a normal original milk tea. Boba was honestly crunchy in the middle, absolutely horrific! I'm also not used to boba cups being paper? That doesn't affect flavor, but a friend commented and said it looked like a gas station cup! My family liked their taros however, which is why I'm giving it three stars instead of two. If you're pressed for boba and time, maybe stop by and get a drink, but don't get toppings. And don't expect great service either. The employees all looked miserable and it translated to their service and drinks. read more

This Ten Ren is located inside square one shopping centre in Mississauga. Only location in the west end. I usually have to come to this location if I'm craving for bubble tea. Parking at square one is a disaster! Seems to be a lot of work to get my bubble tea but it's worth it. The service at this location is terrible. There's always a huge line even when there's 3 people making the bubble teas and it takes forever. I waited 40 minutes that's waiting in line to order and then getting my tea. Sadly enough I have no choice but to suck it up and wait. I'm addicted to Ten Rens! Quality wise, it's amazing. read more

The first legit bubble tea shop that was open in Square One. It's got a couple more rivals within the mall now. They don't market as much as the others and tend to focus more on selling authentic tea. The prices are average (~$5 for a small). I tried the Iron Goddess Milk Tea, which I felt was overly sweet (would recommend getting less sugar for sure). It was a strong tea flavor, so if you're not into that, skip this one. Was kinda disappointed that there wasn't as much tea, they added a bit more ice in it than I'd like. They seem to have more staff than customers, so service was quick (compared to their competitors within the mall). Despite this shop being at Sq One for a while, this was only my first time getting bbt there so I'm not sure how the rest of their drinks are, but I will update when I try more. read more

was my go-to place for the longest time as they have so many drinks that I can't really order in other bubble tea places. The service was always great and they were always so fast. However, for my last recent visits, it has been a hit or miss. They have been getting my order wrong, they are taking a lot longer even on a quiet day and the drink options seem to be less now. I used to get either taro(which I can't seem to get from this place anymore, doesn't taste right) and black tea smoothie (something like 'hokkaido?' but somehow they always get it wrong in my recent visits. I literally sought out Ten Ren's Tea after see their bubble tea iceream on instagram! I've never actually tried their boba tea before but I may have to after this experience. This small location in Square One has no seating within the store, but it is a mall after all so you will find some elsewhere. When I ordered the crushed oreo and tapioca ice cream, the Tearista looked really confused and actually had to look at the menu to see what I was talking about. Turns out I am the first to order it at this location, lol. I was a little surprised because I saw it on instagram like a dozen times, but I am sure they were taken at different locations. The dessert was actually really good, but mainly the milk tea flavored icecream and the tapioca. I could have lived without the crushed oreo. The only downsides is the incredibly small size for the price, but that may be due to the Tearista's lack of experience with the dessert. read more

I'm a huge fan of bubble tea so I'm always looking for a place to try. I hadn't been to this location in several years. Since it's so conveniently close to the bus terminal in Square One, I find myself coming here more and more. Drinks: They have a good selection to choose from. My usual taro milk tea half sugar and less ice is fairly average. It's definitely not bad but not one of the more unique tastes. They use a powder taro which I prefer much more than the real thing. My husband is a big fan of ginger milk tea and surprisingly it's not that common to find at other bubble tea places. So it was a pleasant surprise to find it today. They only had it in hot but they accommodated my request to make it iced. He said it was decent but probably better hot. Service: They are always really nice when I order. I appreciate that they ask if I want the rewards card but not push it on me. I finally caved today and got one since I've increased my visits lately. The machine was really slow and the lady at cash gave me a receipt to bring back in the future so I can get a reward. Overall: With the reward card plus good taro, I will for sure be back! read more

The tea can be expensive here but the tea here is more authentic than David's and Teavana. This place mostly sells Chinese herbal tea and has a bubble tea counter inside. Pros - this is stronger tea than your normal David's and Teavana tea. If you can't handle some of the stronger tea at those two stores, don't recommend this place, however if you are really into tea like me, you'll love it. Also Ten Ren has been around for ages, as it was a chain in Chinatown since I can remember (so at least 20+ years). Also, the lineup is shorter here than Bubble Tease by the theatre. Cons - It's expensive. Bubble tea is mostly powder. Verdict - come here to buy authentic Chinese tea and if you don't want to bother with the lineup for bubble tea at Bubble Tease. read more

Stopped here with friends over the weekend when we were walking through Square One. I know how much people love bubble tea at the mall - I used to frequent the bubble tea cafe (Bubblelicious) that was located over by Old Navy before the 2016 renovations. It was a pleasant surprise to find this store in the lower level, although the layout leaves much to be desired. I'm not a fan of the way they only accept cash or debit. Neither am I all that impressed with the fact that the "Order" counter faces right out into the mall, and often causes lineups that obstruct people walking by. On the plus side, the cashiers are no-nonsense and speed through customers quickly. The prices are fairly reasonable (most teas run about $5 each) and there's a ton of flavors to choose from. I ended up getting a strawberry-banana slush, and I also tried grape slush from one of my friends. Both solid flavors. I agree with an earlier review that stated that the tea itself is strong, though I'm used to drinking strong brands like Tazo and Teavana, so this didn't really change anything for me. Unfortunately, I had a really bad experience the last time I went there because I found plastic pieces in my drink. The biggest piece I found was half the size of my thumb and I'm honestly terrified. Also, one of the staffs denied that it's their fault and started saying it's my mistake. She said I poke the straw at the plastic cup, causing plastics to fall out?!like seriously how is that possible, know that the plastic cup showed no signs of fallen or missing plastics on its surface. As a foodie that likes to try new things I decided to try TenRen since I have not tried it in a while and needed a break from the other bubble tea places I have been to . I read the earlier reviews and saw the menu hoping to try something new. Based on that I decided to try the ginger milk tea iced, with light ice and light sugar. I also had tapioca added as well. The ginger bubble tea tasted great and natural. I must point out that ginger is an acquired taste and it is something I would try again . The service was really good but i also made sure I went when there was no one in the line. The cashier also recommended that I get their rewards card which lets you redeem beverages once you hit various milestones such as number of purchases. I will make sure I am back now and then to earn some points towards free beverages. Ill try changing up the beverage each time so that I enjoy the variety and avoid the trap of just purchasing the same old item as its boring and foodies have way more fun trying out new items instead of limiting themselves to a select few. While nice, sticking to a few favorites limits us foodies in the long run. read more

Unsanitary, finding shredded plastic bits in your drink. What's even worse was when I came back to ask for a replacement drink which I did discretely cause I understand that it might have just been an accident, they go on trying to make it seem like it wasn't their fault. They were saying how it might have been caused by me poking the straw at the plastic cup, which was impossible cause I never had to poke my straw at the cup as it was given to me as an open lid. They also asked me to show them the bits of plastic, what do you want me to do take a sip of my drink again and spit out the small tiny bits of plastic? Really? Never coming back to this place. The situation wasn't handled professionally and staffs needs more training when it comes to handling their drinks. read more

The service here is phenomenal despite the location always being busy. The staff are friendly, work fast, and never rush a customer even when under pressure. The only reason I gave this place a 4 stars and not a 5 is because the flavour of the bubble tea is quite strong. My go to is always Honeydew Melon no matter where I am getting bubble tea. Here the tea is artificially colour bright green (which I find to be off putting) and much sweeter than I am used to. Other than those small details, this place is fantastic! I like the Ten Ren beverages. I usually get the iced green tea with a floral flavouring and jelly/tapioca. It's pretty pricy but it's no more expensive than Starbucks or David's beverages. There's plenty of sugar in the drink to cure any sweet tooth! Cash only! read more

Favourite place for bubble tea, particularly the mango slushie. Tastes like real fruits and the tapioca is always done well. It's a little bit pricier and can have longer line ups than other locations, but they do decent deals throughout the weeks.
