Great food, lousy service. We were given a number and told it would be about 10 minutes until we get a table. While waiting the door would not stop beeping while my girl friend and I waited by it. The beeping made the wait near unbearable. Then about 13 minutes later we were seated. The food came in bursts. We found it hard to keep track of what came. We remembered ordering 4 shrimp tempura the first round but they never came so we proceeded to order 2 more. We got those with out next order. While after ordering our dessert and asking for the bill i was handed 4 shrimp tempura. I was forced to eat them with my ice cream and banana tempora. Aside from the lack im quality of service the food is darn good and worth the money. Would go again read more

My first time there-- and my last Ordering on the Ipad is convenient, as long as they get your order right. We ordered a combination of items, and they came out piece-meal and then not at all. We were waiting on two simple sushi rolls that never came. Eventually we started ordering appetizers just to get some food, but after 45 mins we had to ask about our order to 3 separate servers before our food came. Ordered a separate dish that only came after the dessert that we finally ordered came. Tempura shrimp doesn't exactly finish a meal the way a dessert should. I took longer to write this review because I wanted to visit this place multiple time at lunch and dinner time to check consistency. I honestly think this restaurant is one of the best AYCE sushi in Ottawa. Au pair if not a bit better than Fuji SUSHI that I believe to be there absolute best. TEN SUSHI delivers a great sushi experience as well as a superb Asian cuisine mix. Here you can find amazing Maki rolls as well as tasty chicken plates (my favourite if the sesame chicken) or beef plates. One of the few sushi buffet that has chinese dumplings and that taste decent. Also some very interesting delicatessen such as deep fried milk, a mouth watering dessert experience you can't miss! (Just make sure you eat them warm or hot). I was on my way to drive my sister to the airport and we were both craving for some sushi. We checked out online to see what was nearby on the way to the airport and found Ten Sushi on Yelp. As we walked in it the service was super quick we were sat at our table got our drink orders and was taught how to use the iPad for ordering. They have a variety of dishes from sushi to Korean, dim sum, and Chinese dishes. We ordered some Sashimi, sushi rolls and teriyaki dishes. Overall the food tasted pretty good however the low rating is due to the sashimi being not very fresh. Other than that would definetly come back if in the area. read more

Good choice for the hungry family sushi dinner. Quality food. Both sushi and prepared food is uniformly good. Rolls are slightly rice-heavy but tasty. Worn-looking ambiance, probably because the place is always packed. Can get noisy. Fast service with tablet-based ordering. And, for me, the fried milk was a big miss. Our dinner there on Feb 7th was the 3rd time I have eaten at 10 Sushi. We came here after not being served at another resto for an hour and 15. The sashimi/nigiri/maki are good and the cooked food tasty, not bland like in other buffet type resto I've tried here in Ottawa. The staff were friendly, the iPad for ordering food was easy, but sometimes difficult to tell if you order 1 of something whether it is 1 set of 4 or 6 pieces or 1 piece. 4 orders of tempura eggplant was not 4 pieces but 16 pieces. My bad! They need to clean the iPad more often! The only complaint is that the floor was very slippery, like someone had mopped the floor with oil. The mop was in plain sight at the middle of the restaurant. Sigh....Other than that, I would still come back. read more

Went there twice at night, service was terrible. We ordered more food but the server cut our order and only gave us two more entrees because they were 'closing'. When we were trying to enjoy the food, server was standing right across our booth just watching us eat and rushing us. I understand that we came in a little late, however, that does not give them the right to cut our order in half stand right beside our booth with a unpleasant glare. Server took away our soy sauce, wasabi and ginger while we were still eating, with significant time left until closing. Food is pretty good, but service is crap. Never going back there again. (They need to be more cautious on it! FOOD SAFETY!) We ordered 2pc sushi at first time, they gave 1 pc; and then we ordered 4pc, they gave 8pc, something like that... So we've left some rice in the plate(no more than 6pc), the "owner" (probably, seems like) blamed us about rice and threatened to charge dinner's price(we have 4 ppl and just ordered no more than 20pc sushi in total), and a girl in our group has apologized and asked what should we do now about the discarded rice? I go to this place to take out and lunch all the time. The lunch buffet is reasonably priced for what you get and they have an 18 piece lunch takeout combo thats pretty filling (California, Shrimp tempura, Spicy Crispy Salmon my fave) for 12.95. I've been there pretty often since they opened, surely over 25 times. They know me by name. But sometimes I'll eat from there and the food does not agree with me at all. This doesn't happen all the time, maybe 2 or 3 times but it's something you should know about. Big Warning: The parking situation is park. Like real bad. There are a bunch of other stores in this same plaza and the sushi places gets really busy. They put up designated parking signs for the other stores but people would just ignore them. Now there is this guy who polices the lot making sure you don't park where your not suppose to. My advice: Park in the farmboy lot and walk. It's really not that far. Or get there early. read more

I have been to Ten Sushi a few times. The food has always been really good but service has always been bad. Staff rude, getting our food/order wrong, service slows I had my birthday dinner there (we were a party of 10) and service was awful. They never cleared away the dishes, we had to ask three times for more water and they got some of our orders wrong. Two of my guests did not want to do All You Can Eat, but do A la carte, and the waitress said that these two guest had to sit at the table behind us because they (the manager) did not want these two guests to eat off/nibble food from the All You Can Eat plates. They were rude about it so I spoke up about it so then my friends could join. Even though we were all paying separately, they put us down as one bill so that we had to pay automatically the 18% tip (even though service was crap) but the tip was added to the taxes so they got something like a 27% tip for bad service and making myself and some of my friends upset. I have been to Ten Sushi with mixed experiences but will not be going back again. This past time for dinner my 11 yr old daughter was charged as an adult even though she was charged as a child a few months previous. The server said they changed the age range..... the food this time was substandard. Hot items were cold including Luke warm Miso.... gross. The stir fry item looked like slop and the sushi was poorly made. When we complained about the "child" price and the food quality, the server quickly dismissed our concerns and walked away in mid sentence. $87 for two adults and a child one drink is way too much for rude service and poor food. The food is only average. But i have to say the rosted duck sushi roll is quit good. There's nothing very outstanding. When this place just opened it was quit good, nice environment, nice food and nice service. But right now.... the servixe quality is getting worse and worse. Then one girl came and told us the table beside us complained about how I was wasting food , they saw me spiting the mussels! I don't know if this real or not, but highly concerned it. So I asked why would they complain about us, because as far as I know we didn't spend their money plus I do hav a good reason for my actions. I asked they girl if she can call them back I want to talk to them. The girl rudly rejected me and told me I can go outside and find them myself NOW! I was really upset, the manager came over and told me if Im don't know if the food will be good or not then DON'T ORDER IT! As me and the manager was talking the girl waitress interupted me twice. Finally I had enough of it, and told her to be respectful and do not interupt. She glared at me and told me that I'm not respectful! After the argument, they took away the dishes and the girl complained to me that she was going to take away the dishes and I told her not to.... Honestly, I don't know what to say about that. I myself once worked in a japaness buffet and met all kinds of customers and not once I talked to one customer like that even when mistreated. Personally I think that just basic work ethics, if you can't do that maybe you are just not fitted for this job. I don't think I'm gonna go to that restaurant anymore. Afterwards, I walked around the place and saw some table are even more wastful then me yet they didn't say anything about it. Btw, I order all of my food when we just sat down. They did not serve my 1 order of chicken wings until we r about to go. That's a one and half hour wait for two small pieces of chicken wing! Good sushi, slow service :(. It took 15 minutes for them to deliver one serving of sharing tempura, which is wayy too long for an All You Can Eat sushi restaurant. They have a really good selection of sushi and rolls, including some special menu items that came in limited quantities (octopus sashimi, red tuna sushi). The iPads were a bit slow but it's the same with every sushi restaurant. They also have a wide selection of soups, pad thai, appetizers (edamame, salads...) and dessert (ice cream, banana tempura). This restaurant visit was going ok a goodbye party of sorts for my sister. My cousin and I both received chicken dishes that were rock hard and instead of complaining we set them aside to be removed. Many of the items were appetizing and delicious so we figured they overlooked the cook time for the chicken balls and lemon chicken dish and were not going to make a big deal about it. A woman came to our table not sure if she was the manager or a hostess but she was not our server. She glared at us and pushed the dishes back to the middle of our table setting and rudely scoffed "what's wrong with these foods!" her exact words). We told her they were too hard to chew and we disliked them and she told us we better do better and eat more of them. Two very small plate sampling's of over cooked (like break a tooth or scrape up your mouth hard) various chicken. I have never in my life seen a restaurant staff member act so rude or confrontational in my life. We dine out often. Usually we don't complain but it was so offensive. Was our fifth time there this year and we won't be returning ever again. This woman works the front area and if you see her hide any scraps in your napkin if you don't like something - if you wish to not be accosted by her in a very shameful embarrassing way that's uncomfortable for all guests you dine out with. read more

I've always enjoyed Ten Sushi - it's an ok place. However, this time with a group of colleagues at lunchtime, one of the servers dropped soups all over one of my coworkers, including sweet and sour soup. They even refused to give us a free lunch for the lady (who spent 10 minutes in the bathroom cleaning herself up), they ended up giving her a stamp card so that after 10 lunches she can get a free lunch. Apparently, no managers on staff and nobody able to do anything. Shame on you ten sushi! Customer service is important... Guess we won't go back. read more

I've been here twice, the first time was okay but was horrified with the service today! I arrived with 3 other people and we ordered a tempura shrimp roll. When we received it, it was just filled with breadcrumb, no shrimp at all. When we told the server, he didn't speak english and directed us to the other server. She acknowledged it and took it away. Nothing else. Then when one of my friends had to leave early, and was stopped on the way out as the waitress was serving another table and asked if they had paid. After explaining she left her money on the table to be paid with ours when we were done, she was allowed to leave. When we were all done we paid in cash and the same server came with the tab and counted out all the bills in front of us on the table as we watched. Disrespectful. read more

Awesome place. Great food! I've officially switched my loyalty from Hokkaido. The only issue may be customer service. A lot of the waiters don't speak english which is very frustrating. Terrible service experience. I surely do not recommend it. We were a big group. They only give one iPad per table. Asked for another one, they said policy is one per table. Extremely unfriendly staff. We wanted coke fountain drinks for four people they gave us cans so that we don't get refills. To get a fountain drink, every person at the table must get one!! Staff very slow to respond to requests. Asked for extra napkins, got three napkins!! What about the rest? They don't take American Express. Service was great - we took our time getting our first order sent in on the iPad and had someone come over to make sure we didn't have issues with the iPad ordering system.
