That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.

Candace has changed the whole lashing game for me! My first experience at Tenderoni Lashes was such a pleasure. Enjoyable and relaxing to say the least. As far as first impressions go, she's already won my heart with her warm and welcoming nature. She makes it a point to ensure her clients are comfortable and well informed. She's open enough to take your preferences into consideration as well as add her two cents aka professional expertise. Love that she already had an idea prior to me coming in about what would look and work best with my eye shape (it's required that you send in a pic prior to your appt). Just tells you how much thought and planning she puts into each individual client. Everything from the little details such as the warm blanket she tucks you into, the light music playing in the background, the calm and relaxing environment she provides, all just makes the entire experience! And then to wake up (yes you will fall into a nice little slumber) lookin like she just brought LIFE to your lashes....omg. She brought up my expectations tenfold. She's quick but rest assured, quality was not compromised. She gave me what I was lookin for and more! She's also great about following through, letting you know about any touch ups you may need within the first couple days. I had tried alot of different lash places through out the years in NY and SD and always left feeling discontent. I'd lay in a lash bed for up to 3 hours sometimes and would end up soo disappointment looking at the mirror afterwards. So, when my (only) sister's wedding came up I decided to finally INVEST in a more expensive salon...boy was I happy I ever did. I've been with Candace now for going on 5 years. A couple notable things about what I chose Tenderoni Lashes as my go-to lash salon: 1. Candace and her team use Borboleta Beauty products...they're not cheap. The lashes are matte, jet BLACK and light as a feather. You're getting premium stuff when you're here. 2. She is super good about letting you relax/sleep through your application. Socializing for me can be alot because I deal with customers all day long. 3. LONGEST LASTING LASHES EVER. Every!! Her eyelash extensions last me 5 weeks. Yep I said it. I go in for my volume refills every 5 weeks. All the other salons I'd go to in the past would make me come in every 2! 4. They tailor the lashes to fit your eyeshape. In the past lash artists would slap whatever on me and out the door I'd be. Not here! There hasn't been an eyelash studio that comes to close to this place for me. Finding a great eyelash extension place after moving from New York was a challenge but I'm glad that I took a chance with Tenderoni Lashes. Candace is a PRO! This girl really knows her stuff and after vacationing in the Bahamas for 4 weeks my lashes were still very much in tact!! She is worth every penny. Things to know: -They give complimentary scalp massages if you request one on their intake form!!! Put me right to sleep. -They do not count lashes here. They will apply extensions until there are not more lashes to cover. This will take long but it lasts sooo long. -Eyelash extensions shed per day and this is something that I did not know was natural. She applied over 130 extensions -Bring some music or podcast because Candace and her team work without talking (I brought podcast and fell asleep) -Its a bit hidden so look for the Tenderoni Lashes sign. They're right next to a crossfit gym and Karate place. From start to finish my experience was amazing. Candace knows what she's doing and its clear to me why this salon is ranked so high on Yelp. I have been a client of Candace's for 10 years and have seen her both in San Diego and Los Angeles. She is what I like to call an old school beauty artist: reliable, beyond friendly, personable and professional. You can tell from meeting her that she has been in the lash game for years, there's a comfort about her. I have had my lashes done by her and a couple other lash artists that have worked with her, particularly Olga and Erzhena and they all do beautiful work. The best part is that these lashes do last for up to a month and longer if you get them with a natural length. Free parking is available at the studio in Beverly Hills which I like! Highly recommend!
