I've been getting my eye lash perm from Calma for years. She's been great to work with. Very honest and up to date with her services. I'm a pretty simple person so I always felt nervous about going dramatic with eyelash extensions. I finally decided to give it a try and have Calma introduce me to what's been trending. I'm not a very picky person so I left it up to her to recommend the most suitable lashes for my "not so dramatic" stipulation. Since she's been working on my lashes, she knew that my eyes were sensitive so decided to change the glue to avoid any redness to my eyes. I was quoted around 2h to work on my lashes, but she thought I needed a fuller set of lashes. She worked on it for another 45min and the final results looked beautiful. I've included a collage pic of what it looks like. Also, I like the fact that she uses xtreme lashes (I've done research and it seems like they xtreme lashes is one of the top lash brand to use) and to confirm I went to the website to confirm she was certified as a professional - she is! The lashes are individually placed and are not clumped together - which is a total plus! She offers products at her little cute place and I'm glad she didn't pressure me to purchase anything. Instructions were given on how to maintain the lashes and she went over the products that would help. I was so sure she was gonna pressure me to purchase, but she left it as an introduction. I ended up purchasing some products since I invested so much into the lashes. The remover is great and the lint free swabs and sponges help remove the eyeliner pretty easy. I had the Laura Mercier long lasting eyeliner on so it's difficult to remove without the oil based. But the remover managed to take it off. I also decided to try the xtreme glide liner out bc I'm always looking for a good eyeliner that won't smudge off. So far, I'm liking it! After a few hours, I don't have any rings yet. Good luck with your lashes. It's expensive, but I rather pay more and make sure that it's done professionally and with the best quality. My recommendation is that if something isn't the way you want it, let Calma know. She's very open to feedback and tries to accommodate to all her customers. read more

So I've been going to Calma for almost 10 years now. It all started when I was looking for someone to do my makeup for my wedding. She made me and my wedding party look so pretty!! I have been to makeup artist in the past where they put so much makeup on you that you can't even recognize yourself!! However Calma did my makeup very soft and natural and I still looked like myself but only better!! This is also where she introduced me and where I get my obsession with eyelashes!! One reason why my makeup looked so pretty and natural was because of the eyelash extensions. They were long and lush, however soft and gentle at the same time. They made my eyes pop out without being too overwhelming. Unfortunately now with my work, Im not aloud to where makeup because I need to work in a very sterile environment and my lashes had to come off eventually. The good thing was that my real lashes never got damaged with the lash extensions. So I still had my natural lashes to curl when I can wear makeup!! So this brings me to my next venture with my eyebrows. I'm one of these girls that loves a good strong brow, but I have only a little hair on my eyebrows. I have to draw them in everyday! So what does a girl do when she has no eyebrows and can't wear makeup to work anymore??? Thank goodness Calma is now expanding her services to eyebrows!! So, I actually did a lot of research on eyebrow tattooing, eyebrow embroidery, ombre eyebrows and microblading eyebrows. I was checking out a lot of different sites, a lot of different artist and spoke with a lot different people that went through the process. In the end I decided to go to Calma just because of the history that I had with her. Some friends that went to other places told me they didn't quite get the eyebrows they wanted because they only do one type of brow, or they just didn't really listen to what they wanted. So just knowing Calma, I knew that she would listen to me. In the end, I actually took her advise on how to shape my brows. I showed her how I normally draw them in and she helped me shape it better to my face. At first I was a little nervous, just because anything different for me is just scary, but I remembered why I went to her in the first place and she never steered me wrong before. During the process, she used a prickly roller to open my skin up to allow the numbing cream to penetrate better. This was the only time I felt uncomfortable but it wasn't even that painful. The numbing cream did its job pretty good and it was pretty much a pain free process! The ink took pretty good on my skin and whaalaa, I got my new eyebrows!! So at first, they were very different than how I normally draw them in and the fresh ink made it look dark. Even the next couple days, the ink darkens because of the healing process. So I was getting nervous. But by day 4, I was getting used to the shape. By day 11, I completely healed. And I loved, loved my new eyebrows!! The shape of the eyebrows complimented my face better than how I was drawing them in, so yes Calma, you were right as always! The ink got lighter and matched the color of my real hair and the tattoo looks like real hair!! I actually have a hard time telling my real eyebrow hair from the tattoo!! I'm currently on week 3 at this time. There were some areas where I thought the ink didn't take as well, but now those areas are starting to fill in and the color is coming out more. And again, I can't stress that it looks like real hair!! I'm so happy I decided to go to Calma for this. Now I can go to work with no makeup and have eyebrows!! If only I could still do my lash extensions, I wouldn't need any makeup ever again!! Thanks Calma!! read more
