It's always fun to try a new flavorful dry rub when you are barbecuing and experimenting with…read moredifferent cuts of meat and smoking techniques. I bought some Mexican dry rub spice mix likely designed for beef and used it on bone in chicken thighs and sausage. Smoked at 200 for an hour and finished in the convection oven for 20 minutes at 375 resulted in wonderful smoky meat with a nice light crust. It was truly fun and delicious! I likely used too much spice but I had two pounds of chorizo and bratwurst and five pounds of chicken thighs. So, what the heck!? I used half a bottle of dry rub from Spice Of The Harbor! Food for lunch and dinner for a week! The best part is I still have half a bottle of Mexican dry rub left so I can BBQ again, experiment a little more, and see what happens! What is your favorite smoking cut of meat and technique? Bone in dry rubbed pork butt for 14+ hours at 200? Wrap with tin foil for the last hour or two? Ribs cooked low and slow or fast and hot? Dry rub, BBQ sauce, or both? Veggies smoked with garlic, salt and fresh cracked pepper? Sweet corn on the cob with butter and salt? The options are limitless! Life is good with spicy, smoky BBQ!

Unfortunately, my son's apartment number was not put on the next day air package, which I paid $86.00 for, (approx $45.00 shipping charges) & it was sent back to FedEx warehouse. E-mailed company representative on Friday night twice, asking to please, please request Saturday delivery of the package with corrected address(since I didn't ship it, I couldn't change delivery). Called FFS on Saturday & at first was told FedEx does not deliver on Saturday (not true). Then I was told that package would have to wait until Monday because company couldn't talk to the woman who took the order until Monday to see if I had given her the address. I assured the company that I had given the rep the apartment number, & even had her read the complete address back to me. When I said that I would write negative comments on Yelp, the company agreed to call FedEx and "eat" the $15.00 for Saturday delivery. Whoever represented the company on the phone was rude & irritable. Just show some kind of understanding for the customer, who "ate" $45.00! End of story: package did not get delivered Saturday.

We were told yes but that we just needed to place the order online and include a note requesting individual packaging. We followed instructions, placed the order, and even called the store afterward to confirm our request. Everything seemed fine... until we arrived for pickup the next day. Not only were the cookies not individually packaged, but when we asked why, the so-called "manager" (different from the one we had spoken with the day before) told us it wasn't possible unless we purchased each individual box. Worse yet, she told us we'd need to package them ourselves because she "had no time"... mind you a tip was already included in the order when we placed it. We explained that we were clearly told this was doable, multiple times, just the day before. Still, the manager (I believe her name is Ashley) refused to help, and we ended up purchasing the boxes ourselves and wrapping the cookies in the parking lot. This was for Teacher Appreciation Week.. and what should've been a simple pickup turned into a frustrating mess, and we were late because of it. Train your managers better or hire ones with actual customer service experience. As someone who's worked in the service industry, I'm shocked at how poorly this was handled. It's a shame, because we visit this crumbl location often as it's in our neighborhood, but definately will not be returning.
