a variety of cakes and pastries

Sadly, as mentioned in several other reviews there is a attitude issue with their employees. They have a very large selection of cookies, cakes, etc that span down 4 large cases that have 4 shelf levels each (not to mention treats in other locations) so it is a lot to take in. Especially when most things do look delicious so you are trying to figure out what you want. When we were asked they could get us, we giggled and I said "Oh I don't know what I want yet". The guy snapped back and said "well everyone else does" and walked away. Umm excuse me!! Then go help the people who know what they want! Which I know wasn't true because of few random ladies and I laughed together that there was just too much. There is no need for that kind of snippy and rude remark. Honestly, I would say they are lucky that Ben did want a cannoli or I would have just left because I don't need that nonsense from anyone where I am trying to spend my money at their establishment. He was an older gentleman, maybe the manager or owner... who cares. So onto the taste test. The cannoli shell was either old or over baked because it just crumbled. The filling was good. We also got an eclair because it had been forever since I had one. Again, the pastry itself was dry but the filling was great. Definitely have had way better and yes, I've had them in NY. It really saddens me that this was the outcome of our visit to them. They really do have so many options that I would have gone back to try but not with bad treatment. There are plenty of other small businesses that would gladly provide great service. Especially for the pricing.

Thin, stale ... went right in the garbage after I tasted it. Do not buy.

I bought a large black & white cookie. Way overpriced at $8.00! I asked if it tasted like it was made in Brooklyn where I used to live. Cashier didn't know since she wasn't from Brooklyn. I took a chance & I'm sorry that I did. It was stale & thin .. not like the original.. I would not recommend this bakery.

Did you know that most bakeries in Pinellas are closed on Mondays? I would think a sweet treat to get you past the Monday blues would be great business but I guess not. Anyway, I need to grease some wheels every so often to make things happen in my favor and it's always been with cannolis. My regular places do not happen to be open on Mondays so I went to Yelp and found this place. It is part of the Lucky Dill Deli and actually shares the entrance. As others have mentioned the selections are overwhelming. While I was there I actually heard two different people say they were getting nothing because they couldn't make up their mind. They have quite a few cheesecake options, cookies, waffles, cannolis and everything else you imagine. For five large cannolis is ran me $25 which seemed a bit high maybe by a dollar each. They were alright. Definitely not the best in the area but not the worst. I would be interested in trying something else but I won't be running back. 4 stars because of the massive selection.

Yummy yummy i want it all in my tummy

I found the bagel and cream cheese (6.00) and small ice tea (4.00) way over priced and not worth the money.

The staff member said it best: New York prices for this New York bakery. Sorry but $8 for a donut? I'll pass.

Don't get the cannolis the shell was soft and seemed like they were old. The rainbows are good though. Also it was pricey for the quality

excellent experience, all-around! after enduring a…read morelunchtime wasted at a nearby restaurant (mama's place), I made sure to not to follow one folly after another, and checked yelp for a spot to get dessert. I left lunch hungry and with little time to spare before tarpon springs closed its businesses for the night. there were several bakeries on the area's main drag, which were (literally) lined up out the door. while the goods inside looked tasty from the outside, lunch now had me all the wiser. a long line and an appealing window display offered no insight on the taste of the goods inside. I found national bakery nestled on a little side road. there was no line, no frills. when you step inside, though, you'll be greeted by a baker who has been serving fantastic baked goods with superior customer service at incredibly fair prices -for decades. the woman who helped us was SO incredibly friendly. she stayed open late just to answer our questions about the area -after having already served us some of the most delicious baked goods I've ever had. I'd recommend going for the goodies, the friendly conversation, and old world atmosphere. skip the lines and overpriced, overhyped "show" goods.... spend your money and time on food you won't forget.

Worked for several hours (back and forth) to put together an order for a special delivery while visiting the Tampa area. The order was all set and was going to be delivered to my hotel room on the requested date/time. I submitted online payment through PayPal after the owner e-mailed me the invoice details and I e-mailed her back that I would make the payment online. Fast forward 2 days... the time that the delivery was supposed to be made came and went and there was no delivery. When I called to inquire, she said there was no payment so the baked goods were never put into the schedule. I get that she needs her money but after having my cell phone number and my e-mail address and all the back and forth communication, I do not understand why she did not call or confirm whether I was still interested in the delivery surprise. Luckily, there are other bakeries in the area that were able to accommodate the last-minute request. Overall, friendly lady but disappointing customer service.
