All medical staff having direct surgery related contact with patients are either RN's specialist techs, or well trained medical assistants. The operation is seasoned. You'll receive a call from an intake nurse a day before surgery who screens you and records or confirms your present medicine protocol, reviews the surgical procedure and provides pre surgery guidance including how you should prepare day before and day of the surgery. Upon arrival you're greeted by a receptionist who actually smiles and looks at you when talking, handing up authorization papers and scans your ID and insurance. The pre op nurse comes to the waiting room to take you back to the area where you'll change into gown and asks pre-op questions. She is calm reassuring and professional. She monitors blood pressure and pulse goes over your meds (again) and literally tucks you into your wheelchair or bed, no kidding. Furring your wait for the surgeon or anesthesiologist she will check in on you periodically. My procedure was relatively simple, excision and reconstruction of some growths which were not supposed to be there. The surgery was being done by a dermatologist trained in cosmetic surgery. I prefer having these excisions done this way rather than in my dermatologist's office because the cosmetic surgeon is far better at minimizing the scaring of the reconstruction of the surgical site. And it is still covered by insurances. I have had several of these surgeries over the years and Park Creek has been consistently very good at what they do from start to finish. My pre op nurse was attentive and reassuring. She offered to bring my husband into the curtained off area to sit with me while the physician/surgeon prepped. The OR nurse, ROSW, was outstanding. She sets you up on the OR table and does preliminary prep of area to be operated on. She remains in OR and assists the surgeon. And there's another nurse assisting in OR. No shortage of staff. It's immaculate it's a great place to have your outpatient surgery without hassle of using an outpatient hospital setting. I've always felt good when being there. Recommended when you need outpatient surgery. Oh easy to park in large private parking lot. On 441 in Parkland.

She reads all past records, listens to current situations, talks about resolving challenges and prescribes meds that address conditions. I am grateful Dr. Mary explains how they work as well as why they do not result in tolerance. I am 90% better. I know she will help me to 100%. Mary sends referrals immediately and knows which doctors will best meet my needs. Dr Robert is just as wonderful in all those areas. So grateful to be with them. TYPE OF CARE: Asthma (now cured), Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) (cured after referral to GI Specialist and upper gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy performed and esophagus expanded during procedure, difficulty breathing during exercise (all-gone) and blood work-full testing across the spectrum to identify areas of concern. I do not drive 1 1/2 hrs to see Lucy. The office staff has an employee that lies (at least one). I specifically requested to see Dr. Almeida. After probably 8 consecutive rescheduling year after year, I came to the understanding this would always happen. I agreed to see Lucy one time(last year) and frankly, she is not as gentle or expert as Dr. Almeida, plus I had questions for Dr. Almeida. So this time, after the usual call to reschedule, I specifically said I wanted to see Dr. Almeida. The "caller" said she could get me in to see Lucy and I said "no, I want Dr. Almeida", so we scheduled a month out. When they called to confirm, I asked "It's with Dr. Almeida, correct?" and she said "Yes". Well, it wasn't. So when they called to reschedule and I asked, I was told yes and when they called to confirm I asked and was told yes. Twice I was lied to! I am the patient, paying for these appts and a receptionist does not have the right to decide who I see. Also, the pain during my Pap was the worst I've ever had during a pap due to what, I don't know, other than aggressiveness. Unfortunately, this is not the first time an issue has arisen with this office. I don't receive calls about results of tests and calls are returned several days later. They also gave me a bill for 2024 that I never heard about, even when I was in the office in 2025! I could go on and on. Unfortunately, after several years, I will find a new doctor. Dr. Almeida is most likely not aware of the incomptetence of her office and there should be more oversight. I will also make sure Dr. Almeida is aware of her staff lying to patients. She just lost a patient! Sad!
